Also, they offer a selection of Swiss Family Farms Beefalo* choices including beefalo burgers, hot beefalo sandwiches, roast beefalo, beefalo steak, and beefalo hamburger steak. *Beefalo is a breed of cattle that is 5/8 Beef and 3/8 American Bison, aged 21 days for flavour tenderness, no chemicals, no antibiotics, no growth hormones.
While staying in Napanee, I stopped in at Tammy Country Kitchen for Sunday breakfast very recently. The place was quite busy with mostly an older local clientele (people knew each other). I sat myself at an open table and the waitress promptly gave me a menu and offered fresh brewed coffee (included with breakfast entree purchase), which was just right. I also got an ice water too.
For breakfast, I went with the Country Breakfast ($5.69) - two eggs (I chose scrambled), with choice of meat (I chose ham), served with toast (I chose wheat) and home fries. The food was served in about 10 minutes. The thick round slice of ham was grilled nicely, the scrambled eggs were soft and the home fries were deep fried, hot inside. The brown toast was buttered, jelly on the table.
The food was very standard, but tasty and filling. The service was good and friendly here and I was offered refills and top offs on the coffee several times as the waitress was walking around the dining room with a pot of coffee. The check total with tax & before tip came out to $6.45, a very reasonable price for a good hot breakfast.
