If I could leave zero stars, I would. I came I. To get my daughters' dress shortened a little, and some boning added into the corset section. She acted like she didn't understand what I was asking, stared looking through a rack of clothes, then disappeared to the back of the shop. Emerged some time later telling me to try another shop. I called the shop on the phone and inquired about hemming a pair of t shirt material pants.She stated it was nine dollars.I inquired about same day service.She said it was fifteen dollars. I get to the shop and she pinned the pants and marked them with white chalk.After that, she tells me it's twenty dollars. We went to get a bridesmaid dress altered; I called to see if we needed an appointment, was told no. The alterations person started trying to pin the side seams, decided the straps that criss crossed in the back were too big, so instead of pinning to where we needed them, she CUT THE STRAPS!! Guess we can't return the dress if they can't alter it!! Then decided it would take too long to do the measurements and asked us to come back in December!!! We specifically came this early since we need the dress for a January 4th wedding, hopefully giving plenty of time to do the work; worst experience ever, will take our business elsewhere since Tammy's Tailor's is not capable of taking the time to be professional!! I found Tammy in yelp and even though she was a little bit further I drove to her location simply because she was pleasant when I called and other trailers in the area were rude or did not pick up the phone. I brought a vest to Tammy for some alterations, not only did she make some recommendations on getting a perfect fit but her price was super reasonable. I picked up the vest today and I cannot explain how happy I am. Tammy is officially my tailor now. Anybody can alter your close. I will never return to this damn place. Terrible customer service and alterations were not what I asked for. I provided clear instructions as to what I wanted, I got something that left me wondering if the lady who took my pants was even listening. Whoever hemmed my pants took off about 4" of fabric when I only requested close to 1.5". I clearly marked the area where I wanted my pants to be, I explained everything in detail, down to the color of thread I wanted them to use. The hem wasn't even the blind stitch I requested. Pants are ruined. Worse part, no apologies, the lady made it seem as if it was my fault! Avoid this place at all costs if you are reading this review, trust me!!! read more

Tammy did an EXCELLENT job with my dress. I ordered a dress online and was too big when I received it. I looked at reviews on Yelp and while I was extremely nervous, I took it in during my lunch hour, had her make adjustments, and she gave me a week turnaround time. Fast forward a week, I got my dress back, and while it fit perfectly, it still needed adjustments on the side (which is kinda hard to do without me standing there for her to make it perfectly fit). I went in during my lunch hour, we made adjustments and then she had it done in five minutes. So convenient and fast! She is extremely talented and the prices are not too bad considering that she does an amazing job. I highly recommend this place, and will come back if I ever need any alterations! Tammy did a fantastic job with altering my dress! I went in on a Tuesday and picked up my dress on Friday. She did everything that I asked for in terms of shortening the straps and tucking in the dress in order to fit my body shape. I recommend trying her out for alterations! I recently returned back home and my search for a new tailor seamstress began. I decided to try this place, since it wasn't too far from my apartment. First off, service there is horrible. Barely a greet and no smile. I walked in with three pairs of pants and returned with two in hand. Service is important to me, besides the quality of work, of course! The environment made me feel like I was bothering them. Thank goodness I only decided on one pair. I explained to her (I don't know her name, but she was an older "cold" woman) and told her I needed my pants to come up half way to one of my taller heeled shoes, and explained in detail that I wanted to be able to wear my slacks with my high pumps and lower heeled shoes. Ugh! She was either brushing me off or didn't understand what the hell I was saying. I was so PO'd when I went to pick them up. I would have loved to try them on there. She took so much off the bottom, that I have to wear them with my ballet pumps, that means no heels whatsoever! I should have read the reviews before entering. Definitely not returning. Hours are 10-7, I get here 5:40 on Wednesday- and business is closed. My wedding dress is inside the store that I can't get for another 10 days based on my travel/work schedule. I'm getting married in 25 days. My dress was to be done on Tuesday, never got a phone call it was complete ,like some tailors I've used in the past. So as of now, I'm frustrated, without my wedding dress and it's not like I can send anyone else to pick up my dress. This is crazy. If the work is amazing, I'll update the star- but it's not normal business practice to be closed within your business hours and not notify your customers who have pending pickups. Used Tammy today. Communication with her is weak and you're left a little unsure of what the end result will be. $25 hem + $5 steam. Got the dress today as promised but she didn't even have a dress cover to place the steamed dress in and the plastic bag is falling off the hanger. Now I have to safely transport it in the rain and find a dress cover to protect what the steam process I paid for. Hopefully the hem is on point. Likely won't use her again because the personability was lacking, almost standoffish. read more

I've used Tammy in the past and never had any issues. However, I went in to get some pants hemmed recently. I'll add that these pants were never worn and had new tags on them. I had purchased them in June of 2018 and just got around to getting them hemmed. I made sure to try on both pants for Tammy so she could measure the length that I wanted. When it came time to pick up the pants I should have tried them on there. However, since she had always done a good job I did not. Well a week after I finally got around to trying on the pants. One was fine and the second pair was about 5 inches too short. I couldn't believe how short the pants were. I know we are all human and we all make mistakes, so I kept my cool. I went that very next day to show her the pants. Even though I had the receipt, she questioned if I was sure it was her that made the mistake and not another shop. I asked how we would handle this. She told me she didn't know. She told me she had to think and call me. I told her ok, I'll be waiting for your call. I left the shop and within minutes she text me asking for the pant receipt. Since it was from June and an online order I figured I could find it in an email archive. I thought ok even though the pants had the tags they may want my receipt to see what I paid in order to compensate me for their error. Well I was wrong. Here is how the Owner and Tammy tried to handle the situation. First they offered to sew on fabric to make the length work. I told them that I work in a professional environment and that look would be clearly unacceptable. Also there was no way of matching the fabric. Second, they attempted to return the pants with my receipt. They claim that the store employee told them that the pants were from 2012, which is bogus. I told Tammy's owner that it was unethical for him to attempt a return on a product they had altered. They stuck with this and said it was the wrong pants, not the ones the receipt was showing. I told them whether the pants were that old which they weren't, this was about their mistake. It shouldn't matter where, or when you got the pants. You are an alteration shop! I went in to alter my pants. The owner finally apologized and offered to give me a $40 dollar coupon for services there. He even politely said he was glad I understood. I'll be honest I had no intent on going back. Who goes back to a business that treats customers like that. However, I wanted to make sure they owned this mistake and stop making up things that were untrue. Today I text them both that I would be going in to pick up my pants and get the $40 coupon. Well as I arrived I just asked for my pants and the coupon. She immediately started telling me that the pants were from 2012 and that it wasn't the correct receipt. I told her why are we discussing this again when I've already made an agreement with the owner. She then proceeded by telling me I was a liar. Those were her words,"You're a liar". I was caught off guard, and couldn't believe it. I made sure to let her know that I would be giving bad reviews and getting word of mouth out, so that people are aware of how they treat clientel. She also had the nerve to tell me that she did not work on those pants. That I must have taken them somewhere else. I once again showed her the tailor receipt and then showed her the charge on my credit account. At this point I was outraged and I told her in the end this is your loss, not only did you lose myself as a customer but you also lost my family members as customers. I kept my cool for the most part, I refrained from using inappropriate language trying to be the bigger person. However, I did finally end it by telling the owner, "learn how to run a business you incompetent fools". I would hate for this to happen to others so be careful. I went in to get an alteration, not an appraisal on when my pants were created. All I can advise is that if you are looking for alterations, look elsewhere and if not just know to try on, take pics, ask for receipts and maybe get a video showing her holding your garment. Just for laughs... Tammy may require proper documentation as when the pants were created, who stitched them, what textile company, serial code, coordinates, factory number and bar code numbers. read more

This lady is fabulous. I ordered a pantsuit on line. The jacket was way too big. The pants were too long, and too big in the waist. I checked the reviews for numerous tailors, and made some calls. The suit came in on Thursday evening, and I needed to pick it up Saturday to wear Sunday. After reading Tammy's reviews, I decided to give her a try. When I called her friday morning, she told me that she could have my suit ready by Saturday evening. I was a bit nervous because I knew it was going to be a lot of work. I took the suit to her friday evening when I got off work. She called me before 5 on Saturday. I tried the suit on and it was perfect. I was so happy with her work. She delivered when she said she would, and the work was beautiful. She will definitely be my go to person for any alteration or sewing needs. read more
