It tasted like beef boiled in water, and shredded. Pretty much flavorless, definitely not birria. When I complained, I was offered the consommé, which added some flavor, but not birria. My meal was a total disappointment. My daughter had the taco plate with three different fillings, steak, carnitas, and chicken. All three were so salty, she couldn't eat them. Her beans and rice were good. The only bright spot was my lady's meal... an ala Carte bean burrito and a side of guacamole. The burrito was a tortilla, some refried beans and what seemed to be a queso fresco sauce. It was good. The guac was good. So, bottom line, it was a bad experience because the food was unrecognizable as what it was supposed to be. This was my exact complaint when Mi Tio had its grand opening. My Spanish speaking servers, assured me, in Spanish, I should give them another chance after the grand opening. Here we are years later dropping $65 for pitiful food and only fair drinks, barely even Mexican style. Not good. Not recommended. And definitely not real Mexican food. My daughter was our out of town guest, and she couldn't eat her meal because it was so salty. I was embarrassed. As I said on my first visit, ¡Buena suerte, Pobrecitos!
