The first time I visited, I had a great experience. The price is extremely reasonable and location is convenient for me. The second time I visited, it was traumatic. The lady who was giving me a pedicure kept accidentally knicking and drilling my skin. After maybe the fifth time of her knicking too much of my skin, she took a chunk of my toe skin off. The bleeding would not stop. Even after her trying to apply some sort of glue... it would not stop bleeding. I'm writing this review so the nail techs can PLEASE BE more careful. I know people like doing things quickly but when you're handling sharp objects that can potentially hurt people... please be careful. read more

I can't believe that I haven't written a review for Tana's Nail Salon. My girls and I have visited Tana's on several occasions to get her nails done. Today, I asked for a last-minute appointment just to get my full set of acrylic nails taken off because I wanted to type faster and I had a big project due. I called a few places because I always like try new places and when I called Tannas and hung up when nobody answered. I was really happy that they called me back before I called somebody else, and they were able to accommodate me last minute. I am very happy with how gentle she was with removing my full set and how healthy my nails feel because I had a professional do it. I love Tan, and I always call ahead rather than walking in. Recently new to the area and in search of a new spot to get pedicures. I called ahead of time to set an appointment and got set up. Showed up for the appointment and everything went smooth. I enjoyed the service that was given to me and felt like the tech took her time and all. I thought I had found the spot, But..... when it came down to pay and the tech saw me pull out my card she said "do you have cash?", I'm like "what?" And she's like "do you have cash tip for me?". I honestly giggled and said "you're funny". Mind you I had cash for tip it just wasn't the first thing I pulled out, I felt like her asking for a tip like that was very rude and gave her less than I was going to. I paid and left. read more

Good nail salon in downtown Danville. Service is no nonsense and friendly-ish but not hostile. The nail techs are not chatty with customers so it's generally quiet with just the sound of the tv in the background... until they decide to go into a full on conversation in their language. They get loud and sometimes angry sounding but what's fascinating is how totally neutral their faces are. Offensive? Yes...because it's not very polite. Will it prevent me from going back? Love Tana's. I come here often with my stepmom and the service is great. The 2 ladies I typically see are very detailed in making sure my nail shape looks great and is what I asked for. I usually get gel or dipped and they always turn out beautiful. My only complaint is I've asked for simple designs before and they didn't turn out great, but if you're just wanting a basic mani/pedi, Tana's is the place to go! read more

I have been going to Tana for 20 plus years. Tana has always done my nails and she will always want to be sure I am happy with the color or product. Used to do French with a pearly clear coat. Then we went to color. Then we went to gel. Now we are onto dip. Over time styles change. Tana is always trying to stay up with the current colors and products. I have had all them do my pedicures but my favorite is Tai. Tai has been doing my pedicures for years. She too, is always willing to please and goes over and beyond my expectations. She has literally done all my toes and when finished she didn't like the way they turned out and took it all off and started over again. And apologized over and over. I read some reviews where the ladies are perceived as unfriendly. But the case is that they are insecure in their English. But if you tell them what you want they are more than willing to please. Sadly I have seen some very rude customers. There is no need for that because the ladies are always willing to please. I guess I would suggest don't take their lack of communication as being rude. They don't speak much English but if you tell them something and they don't understand., they will defer to Tana, who will interpret. All of the ladies are quick to offer a hello with a big smile. After all these years they have never taken by business for granted. They always do a great job! read more

Been going here for regularly for over 15 years because they are local & convenient. Most of the time I wish they were better, but I just keep going back because their prices are right & they usually have openings when I need them. I get my nails done so often that I really wanted this to work. This past visit it completely dawned on me, it is not relaxing to always listen to them talk nonstop (clearly about clients) in another language & to get crappy massages. I wrote a review but it looks like its been taken down :( This place is AWFUL. Do not go here unless you want unexperienced nail technicians working on your nails. They do not ask you any questions in regards to shape/color/etc and they are not friendly in the slightest. Inside is old and the ceiling has cracks running all the way through it. A nail tech ruined my nails here, didn't even clip my cuticles or use lotion on my hands, all she did was push my cuticles back with her fake nails... DO NOT GO HERE. I am not someone who writes reviews but I honestly do not want anyone else experiencing what I did. After ruining my nails and giving me fat bubbles of acrylics and leaving polish on my fingertips...the nail tech had the audacity to ask me if I had cash for the tip...I will never be returning here. read more

I will never step foot into this place ever again. This was my first time giving this place business and from the second I walked in I was rushed to sit down pick out a color when I was waiting for my mom for a second opinion. They have me a 2 second massage and once I decided on my pedicure color they gave me the sloppiest paint job a kindergartener could have done. I told them to not even bother on my gel manicure because they're so horrible and they still charged me 7 dollars for a botched file job. DONT EVER GO HERE! My friend went here for acrylics and got terrible service. She was not greeted and only when she was getting her nails done was she given color pallets. The lady did not ask her what type of nail she wanted and when my friend mentioned almonds the lady simply said "No". Also, it did not look like the lady even knew what she was doing, most of the nails being uneven and the paint job being terrible. There were air bubbles and it looks gloppy. Overall, she had a terrible experience and I do not recommend this place. read more

A very popular salon where I've been a client for 12 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Prior to finding Tana's I used multiple salons in which every operator did nothing but gossip with other operators and rush through their work. My nails would often break before the next appointment. I can now say that I've broken three nails in 12 years due to my own negligence, not poor workmanship. I travel alot and need salons around the US and Europe to provide a fill. Every time the operator has remarked how beautiful my nails were. An operator in Brussels was so nervous about how perfect my nails were that she wanted the owner of the salon to do my fill. The salon decor is modern and clean, has very comfy pedicure chairs, a friendly staff who has worked there for years (no workshop turnover issues), and pricing that is very reasonable. I've had pink/whites, tips, and manicures that have always met my high expectations.
