I moved to Danville recently and was looking for a nail salon. I tried two other salons before I tried Elegant Nails. I have been back to Elegant Nails 3 times now and I won't be looking any further. All the staff is great but today Vanessa who schedules the appointments and checks you in, went above and beyond to find me exactly what I was looking for. I wanted regular polish for my pedicure and dip for my manicure and I wanted a nude color. She found me a great match. Today I had Lauren for my pedicure who did an amazing pedicure. She took her time and my pedicure looks so great. Not to mention how sweet she is. Lastly Tiffany did my dip manicure and wow! I was afraid of dip thinking my nails would be thick with the dip. My nails are not thick, a matter of fact they look so natural. She shaped them perfectly and my cuticles never looked so good. Needed a pedicure and found a coupon through Yelp for $10 off. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love my pedicure. It was an extra long massage (not like your typical couple minutes elsewhere) plus they took $10 off my bill. I will be back to do the Gel X nails. Please save your money! They were nice but i just do not think it was good. My nails were chunky and the french tip was not sharp lines. Keep in mind they charge extra for this design. For how much they charge it should have been A1 service and i just don't feel like i got that represented on the nails. Elegant Nails has some of the best nail technicians around! I will only go to Lauren for my full set - she does a perfect gel buildup and pays attention to all the details! My little girls got manis/pedis from The other lovely ladies and they were so patient with them while they took their time choosing colors, and they did a lovely job cleaning up their cuticles & under the nails, and shaping everything to their liking. Today, I called elegant nails to make an appointment for my daughter to have her full set of acrylic nails removed. They quoted me the price of $17 which is reasonable. The salon was full when we got there so I was glad that we made an appointment ahead of time. When my daughter had her appointment, the entire process took 15 minutes. And her nails looked healthier than when I had my nails removed a couple days ago at a different location. It did a great job. It was super quick and she's very happy with the results. All I know is that the Dip nails I've gotten done here look and feel the best and last SO long. By SO I mean like 8 plus weeks! The edge doesn't get caught in hair and if you get a natural color, it just looks like it's your regular nail. Not that you should be like me and walk around with old dip on your nail for that long but it seriously lasts. They're also super friendly. I was a loyal customer of Elegant Nails for many years though they often don't honor the time of appointments and I would wait a long time. I came in early January 2025 for a regular pedicure & a gel nail manicure. For the first time ever I was handed a menu with the new 'starting prices' & also informed they no longer have or use regular polish for anyone. Even children will now be gel? The price for a pedicure is double what it was a few years ago $59 base and the gel manicure now starts at $47. This is a tiny older salon, also very crowded and pedicure chairs are pressed together. There are so many beautiful newer salons in Danville. I don't plan to return to Elegant Nails. read more

So... you know how every single time you get a pedicure, the technician uses the little scrubber to remove the callouses from your feet? It is a standard part of literally every.single.pedicure I've ever had. Well, at Elegant Nail Salon, that costs fifteen dollars extra. When the nail technician asked me if I'd like to pay an extra $15 for callous removal, I said "yes!" because I naively thought it would be a really deep dive into the world of callous removal. When all she did was that little scrubby thing for a minute I thought she must've misheard me. But boy was I wrong!! They seriously charge an extra FIFTEEN DOLLARS for that. What a total rip off. It's a shame too because the technician who did my nails was absolutely lovely. If I want to spend $72 for a pedicure, I will go to a spa where they actually have a clean and relaxing environment. read more

nice area. poor service. will not go here again and hopefully this review will prevent you from wasting your money And time. unless you want to be charged a premium price for a super cheap pedicure that essentially is just a color change because they only spend a few minutes treating the foot, then this is your place. had to get a second tech to do the polish because the initial person made the polish clumpy and uneven. fortunately a second person took over and polished them nicely but u never got the pedicure treatment. waste. I made a last minute appointment on a Saturday night. The shop stayed open late & I received an excellent gel pedicure. I asked for a French manicure gel & asked to get rid of the yellow stains. When I received a painted French gel manicure I said this will not last. I noticed the technician removed unsightly cuticles. A manicurist hasn't done this for me in a long time. I really appreciated this. The next morning my right thumb nail chipped. I called Johnny on his cell. I was upset & unhappy with my nails. My nails looked too thick. The shop was closed & Johnny said he'll verify a 2pm appointment for tomorrow, Monday. Johnny called on Monday morning & asked for me to come back at 2pm. I went back & explained exactly what I wanted. Of course, I was charged for the labor. Lauren was meticulous on exactly what I wanted. Length, shape & color. I explained to her that I wanted to start a completely new set with a powder fill to keep from breaking, chipping & to get rid of the yellowish look. It occurred to me I have been going to the same nail salon for the past 15 yrs & of course, a new nail salon doesn't read minds & would have to get to know me. This is why I felt paying for the labor was justified. I told Lauren I'm really rough with my hands & do a lot of work with them. Lauren used a powder dip. I have never had a powder dip. I've heard of this, but never had 1. My nails are awesome!!! The best & strongest French manicure ever. I highly recommend this nail salon. read more

I have been going to Elegant Nails for approximately one year now. While I felt that their prices were too high for the services offered, I returned because my nails have generally held up for approximately three weeks and always looked nice. However, during my last visit, my nail tech pushed my cuticles back without bothering to soak and soften them ahead of time. Not only was this uncomfortable, but I ended up with an infection around the cuticle of my right thumb. Two dermatologists visits, lab cultures, two rounds of antibiotics as well as a prescription antifungal cream, I still am in pain. (My derm decided to attack the infection from all sides.) My nails are growing out, but I cannot have my gels redone until the infection, swelling and pain are gone. Needless to say, I will not return to this salon. read more

Do not recommend . I used to go to elegant nails regularly. I can tell you in the past 8 + months the service and quality has gotten so very bad. I will never go there again. I left with my hands hurting( yes hurting ), polish all over and sloppy polish too! The gal that did my nails got polish all over my skin in my hands and then decided it would be a good idea to literally CUT it off instead of cleaning it off with remover! I had to tell her to stop! Terrible work. I made an appointment for a regular mani pedi. I arrived when they opened and was seated promptly. There was not much chit chat which I am more then fine with, but if you're not sure about nail shape, you should ask. I walked in with nice nails ( every nail was the same length and already shaped) and left with nails that looked like a garbage disposal filed, shaped and painted them. Not only was every nail a different length and shape, but apparently shaping a nail at a diagonal with a right angle on one side is acceptable at this establishment. My pedi was equally as bad. I would prefer the polish to cover all of the nail and not be on my skin, but that's just me. I wish I had before pics, but the after pics speak for themselves. I had to reshape every nail once I got home. I will not be returning. read more

I dropped by in the morning for an eyebrow wax. The man by the cash register asked if I wanted a mani-pedi as well, but I didn't, so he told me to sit down. It was awkward and after a few minutes, I announced that I'd come by later after getting some coffee (Medleno is right there!). The ladies assured me that I didn't have to wait long because they were just heating up the wax (um, why didn't you tell me?). Then I was led into a little area in the back with a curtain. It took a few tries to get the job done because the wax wasn't warm enough. At the end, the man begrudgingly gave me my change in singles (so I could tip) when I asked. His customer skills were lacking and, well, the wax job isn't something I want to repeat. The only positives were that the ladies were pretty nice and location - Medleno is right there. read more

So every time I come here I have never seen the owner smile I don't know why she's so mad all time. I had showed them a picture of what I wanted as far as color and shape and it came out completely different. The lady had to ask how to do the color because she didn't know. I mentioned I didn't want dip because it takes so damn long and I wanted to me there no more than an hour but I was stuck there for an hour and a half damn near 2 hours. They ended up taking me into doing tip, dip and a weird color I didn't sign up for! And on top of that they charged me an arm and a leg! Not going back there! Find a different spot people. There was a very poor selection of regular nail polish, it was very cramped inside, there were no magazines to read and the massager on the chair had been broken for some time. The girl doing my gel mani didn't listen to my request and made my nails short and square instead of leaving them longer and rounded. She added so many layers of polish on that they ended up looking bulbous (like clown shoes). The pedicure was standard, no complaints there. The gel mani and regular pedi was $55. Overall this was a pretty disappointing experience. I will not be coming back. read more

My friend And I were in the area and decided to get our nails done. It was our first time here. The salon itself was small and wasn't busy at the time. We were able to walk in. This place is a little out dated and didn't feel like it was the cleanest spot. The towels had stains on them, however I do believe they were washed. (most likely nail polish stains). I usually look out for their tools to be sterile/packaged properly, which they were. For the pedicure they did use plastic covers.
