I always get their organic dip manicure and it stays fresh for at least 4-5 weeks without lifting. Their pedicures are great too and they do a mean hot stone massage. Only issue is that they don't always have the color that I want, which is a coffee brown dip powder. This used to be my go to nail spot for years but, I got a toe infection for 3 weeks after a pedicure. I always ask them to not clean and clip too deep on the sides but the nail tech didn't listen, and I ended up with a horrible infection for weeks. I automatically saw all of the nail techs have an expression of annoyance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was looking for a dark brown fall color and they didn't have it so the nail tech kept pressuring me to pick a color.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eventually I chose one but wasn't sure of the design. I tell her I'm not sure and she says "omg you keep switching". I felt like she was being sarcastic and I just decided to go with a plain square nail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She then tried to ask if I want any add ons or shimmer and I just said no. During my manicure, she's filing my nail and it gets to the point where I feel it burn my side of my finger. I ask her to please file my thumb on the top since it's uneven and she kinda does it. When they were finished, I was not happy. My two thumbs are not even and my nails don't have color all the way on the edge. NOTE: The swatches on their sticks aren't really accurate to color... My nails were supposed to be jade green and they turned out way more pastel, while my mom's nails were supposed to be a deep purple and turned out chocolate brown :/ We found this spot on Yelp and booked for my mom, sister, and myself on a Friday evening. This is located in the strip mall across from Mountain Mike's. The salon itself is packed full of customers, but almost completely silent other than the 90's jams playing from the TV. We were seated immediately-- it definitely seemed like they were rushing, maybe overbooked. - Easy to book via Yelp message (but if you don't specify what service, they'll assume you're doing both mani and pedi) - Staff wore masks and gloves, but tools weren't cleaned between customers (my nail tech's buffer block and file were completely coated in previous customers' nail powder) - Really fast filing and dip removal-- took only a few mins to shape my nail - When applying new dip, they put my fingers directly into the original pot... Didn't brush it on or use a new pot - My nail lady was showing me her toenails for some reason and put her bare foot directly on the counter (????) - They left residue all over my mom's hand... There was polish on her palm, sides of fingers, knuckles (how??????)... I think her nail tech was new? - They didn't file away all the dip excess so I had to file away crusty bits once I got home - I asked them not to do UV on my mom's nails and they still did UV... Also my sister's nail tech was given this reference picture and got it totally wrong (attached)... To be fair, they let her know that they didn't have the silver gel pen needed, but the sparkle polish they used is so patchy and the nail colors are all wrong LOL. I like that we had free parking right outside of the shop. We had three of us get our mani / pedis done today. I like that the salon was clean. This was the first and last time that we will get out nails done here. In the photo, look at the huge painful chunk of mail that she cut from my big left toe. All the lines on my French pedicure are uneven in shape without a uniform width for the band of white nail polish. I liked the customer service, but I don't want to end up mutilated again. My toe is now very bruised on the side where she kept cutting. I glad that my daughters didn't have the same issue because I would be more unhappy and less understanding. read more

I walked in Wednesday morning, they told me there was a mistake in the books and I wouldn't see Nancy who I had requested and instead I saw Ashley, the owner. She cleaned my cuticles with a hand piece and cut them dry. After she finished my nails she dried it with a fan for about 5 minutes instead of the curing light. I had dip manicure done. Then she noticed she had sealed in the excess powder along my cuticles and it wasn't all cleaned and cut evenly. She proceeded to get a bowl of water and placed my hands inside for about 1 min. She realized she wasn't able to cut the excess out and she went for the hand piece again and that's when I told her to stop and that we were done. As I payed her, I told her I have never had my hands soaked in water after the nails are done. Cuticles are cleaned and then the color/powder is applied. And now you want to remove the excess that's sealed in with a hand piece??? I don't think so! We went at at back and forth and she began to raise her voice at me telling me this is what I wanted. The entire salon could hear us. Getting my cuticles cleaned shouldn't be such a ordeal. After all I'm at a nail salon. and I always extra for it always. I don't need to be yelled at either by the owner. This has happened before. They schedule you with the person you request but when you get there, you see someone else because they she's trying to fill her open slots. I find her rude and unprofessional. read more

I've been coming to Lotus Beauty Salon for over two years now so this review is long overdue. Every single person here is always nice and does a great job but Nancy is my girl! The very first time I had her, she made sure I was good with the shape, color and the design and has always known what to do since then. She's not afraid to try new designs and always delivers. The salon is clean, is in a plaza so has plenty of parking, and they have massage chairs while you get your pedicure which is always a plus! You can pay via Venmo or card although cash is preferred. My worst experience at a nail salon. I had to wait 40 minutes for a manicure and the lady who did my nails cut my cuticle and my finger started bleeding and she didn't even apologize properly. Even after two days my nail bed and skin is still red and stings. Also not the cleanest job. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had to tell the lady every 10 mins to fix something. They made me bleed and cut me in multiple spots. I also asked for a certain color and asked them if that was the right color because it looked nothing like the one I picked but they kept insisting it was. She left polish on my skin. I also asked for a manicure and I didn't get one but got charged for one, They forgot to massage and add lotion. She also put nail glue on the tips of my nails after she was done and it got on my skin and burned. Instead of being an enjoyable relaxing experience it was a painful and anxiety driven one. Save your money and go else where. Also, when I went to check out they charged us more then they were supposed to and she added a $20 tip to the bill. read more

Came in for the first time for a cute birthday gel manicure and I thought my request was pretty simple - white gel with chrome powder. Unfortunately my nail tech messed up my entire left hand with a bunch of air bubbles so she had to fix it and then my right thumb got messed up too. At this point I was fed up so I didn't want to sit there for another 15 min. I've been to a lot of nail salons in the Bay, especially SJ so I was pretty disappointed in the lack of attention to detail here. Maybe I was just unlucky with the nail tech but I don't think I'll be coming back here since the prices are not cheap either. Update: Ashley contacted me and asked me to come back in. I called ahead and spoke to them about my search for dip powder application. I clearly stated what I was looking for when I arrived and asked who I spoke to. The woman assured me they could do clear dip with gel color finish. Lina attempted to trick me with ACRYLIC on one finger until I asked is that dip? She said yes, she proceeded to put acrylic on my pinky nail until I said that's not dip , and she said okay okay and put the glass vessel w liquid and acrylic powder into her tray and pulled out the dip powder. I couldn't believe it. She applied a lot of product and appeared to fix her mistakes, however the imperfections became more apparent after my nails actually cured. I was initially happy thinking that it was a good job. No longer than the next day I noticed the unevenness and lack of smoothing was the issue. Sure the color didn't chip for the entire three week duration, but they looked awful in shape once it cured. I paid $55 plus tip and had to suck it up and live with it for 3 weeks. Plus I knew I had to pay more next time to remove the acrylic pinky that I never asked for on my next visit. I thought I'd also mention that I asked for the basic pedi but Jenny ended up bumping up to the mid range pedi without my consent. What was I supposed to do, not pay what I got? I'm not that rude. I wasn't even going to mention the pedi at all, but people need to be aware before visiting here. I was so disappointed that I went to another salon yesterday and faired so much better. You could actually see my natural apex on each finger and no lumps. And I received what I requested plus transparency about the cost before it was done. Steer clear of this salon if you don't want to be tricked. Even if the owner replies I'm just not interested in hearing what excuses they have. They trick you for both manis and pedis and it's not right. read more

While getting my car serviced in San Ramon, I was told it would take about two hours, so I decided to explore the area for a coffee shop to pass the time. Instead, I stumbled upon Lotus Beauty Salon, and it turned out to be perfect timing--my nails needed some care!
