Great new addition to the neighborhood! First, they rock the tandoor: the tandoori chicken is flavorful and moist. and the naan is fresh, tasty, and light. Beyond the tandoor, they make great curries -- especially the chicken korma. If you're hungry at lunch time, they offer a thali with choice of 2 curries along with naan, rice, dal, raita, and gulab jamun. It's the same price as what the nearby Indian restaurants offering lunch buffets, but fresher and tastier if not quite as varied. Definitely my new local go-to for Indian lunch. read more

We really love the food, service and reasonable prices at Tandoori Junction! It's bare bones on the ambiance, but they make up for it with warm service and delicious food. We love that you can choose your spiciness level and I also love that they graciously accept and promote the use of their coupons that that you can get on the back of your local Safeway receipt. We wanted a special dinner to celebrate a birthday. I found Tandoori Junction online and decided to give it a shot because it was near downtown, and we were open to try something different. The website photos didn't display, but I was able to order 'take out' based on the food item names. I ordered Butter Chicken, Palak Chicken, Lamb Curry and the Chicken Tandoori Leg with Rice and Naan. This turned out to be the perfect order for 4 people. We even had a little Chicken Tandoori Leg left over. The spice level options were Mild, Medium and Spicy. We chose Mild, but Medium for the Lamb Curry. Medium had a little kick to it, but anyone who likes spice should be able to handle it. Mild was perfect for one of us who can't handle anything spicy. We literally informed them twice that my daughter has strict allergies from meat and so we want the Afghani soya chaap which is vegetarian made up in a clean way. Rotten food. We were literally given rotten food that my family put on their plates, so pretty much everything was wasted. This is a photo of the rotting salad. The white slime is the decomposing cucumber into which everything else is sitting. The one bite of bhatura was gross, it was obviously cooked in rancid overused oil into which a million other things were cooked repeatedly. I feel gross and hopefully don't get food poisoning tomorrow. Even the water from their jug had a greasy unclean taste to it. DISGUSTING! read more

The tandoori chicken was very tender but we wished it had a crispier outside. There was no communication between the 2 servers and items were being forgotten or we were just overlooked. We started off with an appetizer, and the samosas were crispy and packed with flavor. BEST SAMOSAS I HAVE EVER HAD 10/10! For the main course, we went with the Chicken Curry Korma and it was perfectly marinated and oh my gosh! The texture and taste of the chicken was to die for! 10/10!!! We also got Shahi Paneer which was sooo creamy and RICH! Cooked just right (my personal favorite) 10/10 The side dishes including Garlic Naan which was soft and fluffy--definitely a must-have to dip up all the delicious sauces! The rice was a perfect addition and oh my order A SIDE OF THEIR GRILLED ONIONS. Will not disappoint they were perfectly seasoned and went well with everything! 1000000/10 The portion sizes for the PRICE is generous. It is very rare to find a good place with not only good hours open, outstanding tasting food, Price AND PORTION! As someone from Delhi and a true foodie, I've always been on the hunt for Indian food in the U.S. that actually tastes like home. Tandoori Junction absolutely nailed it! We ordered Chole Bhature, Afghani Soya Chaap, Saag Paneer, Malai Kofta, and Garlic Naan, and every single dish was outstanding. The chole had that perfect balance of spice and tang, and the bhature were fluffy yet crisp--not greasy at all. The Afghani Soya Chaap was marinated beautifully, with a rich, creamy texture that melted in the mouth. The Saag Paneer had that earthy, comforting flavor, just like a good Punjabi dhaba. And the Malai Kofta--hands down, the best I've had outside India--perfectly soft koftas in a luscious, mildly sweet gravy. The Garlic Naan was fresh, with just the right amount of chew and a great garlicky kick. Owner Avi personally checked on us and even brought complimentary tea while we waited for a table--a truly warm touch. I honestly don't think I've found better-tasting Indian food in the U.S. This place is as close as it gets to the real deal. Can't wait to come back and try more! read more

Just had lunch here after reading about it in the Mountain View Voice and it was very nice! We met the owner who was super friendly and helped us choose something tasty. The freshly made bread was delicious and chickpea curry dish so delicious and not too spicy for us who are not use to super spicy food. I also like that they are open late...it's sad that you can't get anything except fast food after 10pm in Mountain View and now you can. Some dishes were bland, some were terrible and some simply did not taste authentic. For the quality, it is overpriced.
