Absolute Perfection! The Best Indian Food I've Ever Had. If…read moreI could give this place 10 stars, I would. I've tried Indian restaurants all over, but this meal was on an entirely different level. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was incredibly warm and welcoming. But the food? Absolute magic. Here is what blew me away: The Curries: Rich, deeply layered with flavor, and complex. You can tell the spices are freshly ground and simmered with serious care--not just tossed together. The Naan: Perfectly pillowy, hot, and possessed that flawless slight char from the tandoor. The Balance: Often, places either compromise on flavor or overdo the heat. Here, the spice level was exactly what I asked for, without sacrificing the intricate taste of the dish. Ambiance is modern

The service was a bit on the slower side, but the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. One thing I really appreciated was that all of our food came out at the same time- such a small detail, but it makes a big difference when dining in a group! I ordered the Sanskrit Butter Masala with chicken along with garlic naan. Overall, the food was really good! The rice was slightly on the dry side, but pairing it with the creamy butter masala balanced it out well. The real standout for me, though, was the garlic naan. It was so flavorful, soft, and honestly the highlight of the meal. I'd definitely come back just for that!

Mylapore is a hidden gem for authentic South Indian vegetarian food! From the moment you walk in,…read moreyou can tell this place focuses on traditional flavors done right. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. We ordered the rava dosa, VIP and filtered coffee--both were excellent--and were even sent off with two delicious desserts: kheer and rava kesari! The service is quick and very friendly, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for authentic, delicious South Indian food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be coming back!

I visited Mylapore South Indian Vegetarian while in Folsom and it quickly stood out as a restaurant…read morethat focuses on authentic South Indian flavors rather than trying to adapt the cuisine for a broader audience. The menu is entirely vegetarian and centers on traditional South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, and thali platters. One of the highlights of the experience was the dosa. The crepe itself was thin and crisp with a light golden color, while the filling had well-balanced spices that added depth without overwhelming the dish. Another standout element is the accompanying chutneys and sambar. These sauces play an important role in South Indian cuisine, and the restaurant provides multiple chutneys that add different layers of flavor ranging from coconut to spiced lentil preparations. The thali is also worth mentioning. It presents a variety of small dishes on a single plate, allowing you to experience multiple flavors and textures in one meal. It is a great way to explore different aspects of South Indian cooking. The restaurant itself has a casual and welcoming atmosphere that fits the style of the food. Many diners appear to be regular customers who come specifically for the authentic flavors. Service during my visit was efficient, and the kitchen kept dishes moving quickly even during busy periods. Overall, Mylapore South Indian Vegetarian offers a strong representation of traditional South Indian cuisine in the Folsom area. If you enjoy dosa, idli, and other regional specialties, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Really looking forward to a good Indian restaurant since moving from Fresno. Lots of good ones…read morethere. Called to try to order takeaway but phone was busy. Drove over. Place was empty but clean. Cooks eating ( a good sign). Ordered dal, biranyi, Raita, pakora with chickpea, naan assortment. Friendly staff and she mentioned they were having phone issues. At home unpackaged the bag. Everything was packed well. Flavors were great. I thought the dal a little salty but my wife thought it was great. I wish we had ordered just the onion naan, it was great! Carmelized and delicious. The raita was delicious. Pretty sure it's homemade. Creamy and flavorful. Overall it deserves a 5 for food , prices and service and we will be back again. Hopefully the phone will be functioning and I remember to mention salt. Ignore the other reviews which are all over the place. Been eating northern Indian cuisine for 45 years.
