While spicy it definitely was not overpowering I have never had a bad dish here. The naan and pandam was superb, as was the raita. Now for the atmosphere. There is nothing to draw one in. If the name was just Indian cafe , it would be better. The service with Kyle was excellent He was attentive with water and removing dirty plates Do not let the appearance from the street prevent you from coming on for a comforting meal.

There is such a wonderful blend of spices in their dishes. The lunch menu entrees run $15 and up. They come with your choice of entree, soup or salad, naan, rice and the side of the day. The side on this day was peas in a curry/cumin type sauce. I expected I would just try the peas and move on but they were delicious, and I ended up eating the whole thing. The lentil soup is blended so there are not actual lentils pieces. It had a bit of a kick and very good flavor. I ordered the Sabjiwaia with chicken and medium spice. I could easily move the heat up a notch as the medium was very tolerable. It was very good as well as the rice and naan. Some of my fellow diners ordered the Chicken Tikka Platter which I would try the next time. The chicken is whole pieces, and it's not smothered in a heavy sauce. The sauteed vegetables were also separate. The service was on point so no complaints there. I would definitely return!

It was pretty good, it had a slightly spiced flavor to it but I wasn't sure what the spice was. We ordered the chili milli gobhi, samosa, butter chicken, and garlic naan. I liked the chili milli gobhi a lot. I wasn't expecting it to be fried, but I enjoyed it, and it was covered in some sort of chili sauce. The samosa was pretty good, I liked the sauces it came with. The butter chicken was just fine, I feel like I have had better, but it was very saucy which I liked. The naan was pretty good. I liked our server, she was nice and seemed to know the menu. The restaurant was nice inside and had a good ambiance.

We enjoyed the food and service so much that we decided to host a get-together for almost 50 people in their private backroom this past weekend. Everyone enjoyed the food and the room is a great space to hold a private party - lots of natural light and easy access from the parking lot behind the restaurant. The owners were helpful during the planning. They made suggestions for the style of food we wanted and during the event were very attentive, making sure all needs were met. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a private event or for dinner in the main restaurant.

I can now say it is delicious, and the masala spices have a unique and tasty flavor. I did ask for spicy and it wasn't as spicy as I'd like. We started with some garlic naan and a chili paneer appetizer. The chili paneer was awesome, and it is something I will be ordering in the future. I was with my mom and she ordered lamb korma, which is more of a curry type dish. As I love anything curry, I was impressed by this dish as well. The ambience was meh, as the restaurant was in a building that used to be a warehouse. The service was good, and our server was kinda quirky--but she was very good at her job. Since Royal India Palace has an extensive menu, I will be returning next time I am in town visiting family.

They start you off with papadum (lentil crackers) to nibble on. They have Indian beers available, so I tried Taj Mahal (it's a light lager). For my meal, I ordered lamb bhuna, and they let you pick your level of spiciness. I opted for medium-hot and it was just right. The lamb was flavorful and tender. And they serve your food with a heaping bowl of basmati rice. I was with my mother, and she ordered a mixed grill. It had a little bit of everything--lamb, chicken, shrimp, fish. It was well-seasoned. I also ordered a side of mango chutney and some naan. The naan was soft and buttery, and the chutney was delicious--it was also sweet enough that ordering dessert became unnecessary. The restaurant was decorated with beautifully embroidered decorations depicting Indian scenery. There were also statues as well (see photos below). The one thing that could raise this review from 4 to 5 stars is that the service was rather ordinary. Not bad, just ordinary. I highly recommend this spot to lovers of Indian cuisine!
