On our way through Harrisburg and found this tasty Little Grill for breakfast. Be prepared for their overly generous portions! I had a great breakfast sandwich with eggs, mushrooms, onions, sausage, cheese and cream cheese. They allowed me to substitute the sub roll for their focaccia bread and... oh my! All was delicious and it came with crispy fried potatoes. I could not finish the bread or the potatoes but I wanted to!!!! My husband had their pancakes and a side of bacon. He loved it and he could have just ordered one pancake because they are large. We also ordered a cinnamon roll to go and beware it's a large pancake that taste just like a cinnamon roll and it was oh so yummy! Coffee and service were also excellent, Very friendly atmosphere! I feel bad giving this a lower rating because it's a cute little spot and we probably just came in at an unfortunate time. My pancake came out overly hard and bordering on burnt and cold.. I got the hearty grain short stack and it just alright as far as pancakes go. The canjun-spiced potatoes my partner wanted must've been the tail end of the batch, with a lot of little burnt bits. My chai was delicious, however, probably the best I've had in a while. I'll give em a 3.6 for this visit, with the caveat that we'd definitely give them another try. read more

The best little breakfast place on our way to NC Monday mid morning! Place was packed, cute little restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. Coffee was among the best I've ever had, and we love our coffee! They even had heavy whipping cream for us! The wait staff was all friendly, knew their menu and how to make us want one of each. Ended up getting a single cinnamon roll pancake to share (I told my husband I'd have just a bite but fought him off for my share). It was not at all too sweet, didn't need syrup at all. Perfection! Husband got the Dooly One, omg delicious! I'm not a big gravy gal but I would have totally scarfed up the whole thing if he hadn't kept it just out of my reach. I had the huevos rancheros which was incredible, such deliciousness in every bite. Only thing left after this feast was a few lone home fries, they were also delicious but I just couldn't finish them. Our favorite spot to stop while on a trip to Harrisonburg. After a mediocre experience the day before we just wanted old time diner food. The restaurant itself is small, but arriving around 9AM got us a booth right away. I got an iced chai and it was one of the best I've ever had - clearly made in house. The corned beef hash was incredible and the buttermilk biscuit on the side was clearly house ande. The potato boat was also good and seasoned well. Service was attentive and not overbearing. They also offered the hot drip coffee to go which was a nice touch. My only complaint is that they serve the exact same menu on weekends as weekdays yet charge more for every item. We saw that they had pretty good reviews so we decided to give them a shot. We went in around 11:00 am and were hoping for lunch but they only do brunch on Saturdays. I had the eggs with cheese and sautéed vegetables (onions, squash, zucchini and kale - I opted out of mushrooms) and it was really good - fresh and tasty! Two others had the Potato Boat which essentially was what I had but with friend diced potatoes - this was also very good. My wife had the biscuit, sausage and cheese sandwich with the sautéed vegetables and it was also very fresh and tasty. It's clear this place uses fresh ingredients from local sources - you can tell the difference. Clean but definitely aged. The food was fantastic. Biscuit egg sanwhich with ham = fantastic. Focaccia egg sandwich with potatoes = perfect. Now you might think you can't mess up pancakes but you can, so I appreciated their excellent pancakes. Had the regular buttermilk and they were excellent. Got a side of house sausage. It was a patty and it fit perfectly between the two pancakes. It was great. Would eat every day. Had iced latte that table said was great. I had drip coffee and it was excellent. I ordered from here twice while in the area for a work trip. I placed both orders online, so I could pickup and dash out. The first time I ordered, I got to my car and noticed I was missing my side. I ordered the eggs, bacon, side, and extra order of bacon. When I get to my car, I go back inside because I realize I'm missing my side. They said my extra bacon was rung up as the side. Umh, okay. I get back to my hotel and realize they're wrong because I placed a test order and my total was incorrect. So I called, I had to speak to 2 different people for them to understand (it's not that complicated) but they made it right and issued a CC partial refund for the error. Day 2: I didn't want to cause any confusion, so I just ordered eggs and bacon. Overall: The eggs are perfectly scrambled, the bacon is thick, the portion sizes are fair (considering shrinkflation), and it's presented nicely with a few pieces of fruit as decoration. I would return but just make sure you get what you pay for when ordering online. read more

Spending a few days at Massanutten resort and looking for a good breakfast. Not only did we find it, but maybe the best breakfast that I have had in a very long time. It is a small, unassuming place with that college town vibe. The servers are very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. The food is excellently prepared, and the proteins are very generous. My omelet was large and loaded with ham and cheese. Side orders of sausage patties were delicious. My sweetheart had a western omelet and actually devoured the whole thing, which is not normal for her. But one of the most incredible items on the menu is their Cinnamon roll pancake!!! It's hard to describe how delicious this gem is, an absolute home run. The place is so good that we came back three times and even drove in the opposite direction of home to have breakfast on our last day there. Come hungry and wear loose-fitting pants.
