Honestly we were so pleasantly surprised when we happened upon this diner. My bf needed to go pick up a bike and we wanted to grab something to eat nearby. This was right down the street from his bike store so we walked in and were seated promptly. The decor was appealing to me with a new mexico / south west vibes and colors. The service was quick and attentive and friendly. I got the Santa Fe omelet which was stuffed with brisket and served alongside maybe some of the best crispy and seasoned breakfast potatoes I've ever had. My bf also enjoyed his veggie hash very much as well. If ever in Catonsville I would absolutely recommend stopping in for some amazing brunch food.

Our server Ada was very attentive and patient when we felt spoiled for choice from the enticing menu items. I ended up ordering the classic smash burger - it was hearty and tasty. The coleslaw was very basic - tasted like something you'd get at a supermarket. There were other menu items I'd love to try so I'll definitely return!

Ordered two breakfast burritos. One with bacon, and the other with beef brisket. There are many ways to have your burrito, but we got the basic one. Overall the plain burrito was just okay. Definitely recommend sauce, as it's not very flavorful. The brisket was tender and everything was edible, just didn't have a wow factor for me to want to return. I think if they added more flavor to the burrito I would be willing to try again. The service was good and the restaurant was very clean and nice.

Inside is tight but food is right!

The place is eclectic in its own way and kind of tight seating inside. If the weather is good, eat outside. The service is very good but the food was absolutely scrumptious! Go for the food!

I'm taking a moment to write this review because it's rare these days to come across a place that gets everything right--and Doozy's Diner did just that. From the moment I walked in, the energy was warm and welcoming. Stephanie greeted me with a genuine smile and attentive service with helpful suggestions on menu selections and useful recommendations--something I always appreciate but don't often find. Now, as a chef, I tend to hold my dining experiences to a higher standard. I've worked in kitchens long enough to recognize when a team is dialed in, and that was obvious here. My food came out hot, properly seasoned, and executed with precision. I ordered the pastrami creamed chipped beef, and it was absolutely delicious. Rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying--comfort food done with finesse. Every bite felt like a perfect balance of indulgence and intention. But more than just the food, it was my server, Stephanie, that elevated the entire experience. She was friendly, insanely fast and efficient, and clearly took pride in her work. It felt like interacting with a long-time friend and not a staff member. She also made sure I had the info I needed to make a great meal choice. That matters. It changes the tone of the whole meal. There's a difference between being served and being taken care of--and I absolutely felt the latter. Doozy's isn't trying to be something it's not. It's confident in what it does, and it does it very well. My compliments to the kitchen, Stephanie, and whoever's responsible for fostering the kind of environment where great food and great service meet. What are you waiting for? Get yourself to Doozy's. You'll leave full--and genuinely happy you came. Count on it.

Just love the kitschy ambience. The friendly and efficient staff keeps the place moving. The food is wonderful, with a Latino flare. Sturdy and comfortable seating, colorful decor - even a Free Little Library in the back dining room. Looking forward to returning.

I went to have breakfast this morning at Doozies Diner, and what impressed me the most about this place wasn't just the food--which was quite good--but the local media camp that was filming a commercial on the premises. I'm a sucker for community engagement, and watching those little kids interview people for the diner really made my day. I ended up ordering the breakfast platter, and even though my bacon was crispy, they gladly replaced it with a second side of bacon. I can definitely see why this diner is a neighborhood treasure.

I do love this place. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. My favorite thing on the menu is the eggs Benedict with crab dip which is insanely flavorful. I do also like their "smash browns" although they are inconsistent with quality. Sometimes they are super crispy and fresh and other times taste rubbery as if they had been sitting around for an hour and then reheated. The restaurant itself is very cute and I love that they have a play area with books and toys for my young kids. My one area I don't love is the service. Some servers are wonderful and pleasant and helpful. Some, especially during lunch time, can be a little rushed or even rude when interacting with them. For instance, last time I went for lunch, the server seemed annoyed I was asking questions about some of the entre's... which I'd understand if it was busy, but it was 11:30 and we were her only table. Again, overall great place.

Pretty good and quick breakfast this past weekend. My waitress was very friendly but I do not remember her name. I ordered the doozy burrito which was pretty good. The queso on the side was excellent. This place is on the small side with a moderate amount of tables. I had about a 10 minute wait by myself on a Saturday morning around 11:30 a.m. Service was great and would definitely return.

Absolutely delicious brunch! The food was so beautifully plated that I had to take a photo. And we both happily cleaned our plates. We will definitely be back!

Our server was amazing and suggested everything for us to get! I found this spot after debating on the best location for Sunday brunch and I was NOT disappointed. Nothing came home as leftovers except 1/2 of the Doozy Burrito which by the picture you can tell it's colossal and delicious. Parking is free in the area which is great and I loved the bright colors painted on the walls inside also. Will I be back? YES! Doozy's makes me want to try everything on the menu at least once and you should too!

We couldn't understand the delay, and it turned out she was chatting with another waitress instead of seating us. That's a big no-no in the service industry. I used to work as a busser, so I know the unwritten rule: take care of the guests first, socialize later. Once we were seated, things improved. The young lady on the phone ask what my name is, I say "Wayne," she immediately asked me how to spell it. Perhaps I'm being too harsh, but I thought I had a pretty basic name. She asked for my order, I asked for the steak tip omelette. She then ask me how I wanted my eggs cooked... I asked for clarification, she says " scrambled, fried, over easy?" Then I heard her talking to someone in the background, then she says never mind. I finally asked for pecan pancakes. At that point, I was told her that they couldn't put pecans into the pancake batter because it would contaminate the grill. This was the absolute first time I had ever heard that at Bob Evans. Bob Evans was actually the first place I had pecan pancakes and they've always mixed them into the pancakes for me. Out of frustration, I said I will call back. So I went to the restaurant just to make sure I wasn't speaking unclearly on the phone. I approached the register to place my order. This had to be the same young lady I spoke with because when she asked for my name, I gave her my middle name this time, also five letters in which I was asked how to spell it. This was after she seemingly spent around in a circle for roughly 15 to 20 seconds trying to figure out how to log into the register. I ordered and was told the same thing that they couldn't mix pecans into the batter. So they had to give me pancakes with a cup of pecans on the side. This entire review was simply because I was a little frustrated that you had someone so under trained and overwhelmed working the register when it wasn't that busy. I'm not sure how they would handle a busy day with this individual working there. To not know how to spell basic names while asking for names for orders, is a reflection, in my opinion, at the overall hiring process. Once again, I could just be being too picky, but I am a stickler for great customer service...

This is a familiar place that updates the look and menu now and then, yet still feels like home. We often get a beet salad when it's available. Matthew's is scrumptious, with tender sweet juicy roasted beets, tasty grilled chicken, red onion slices and fresh spinach, tangy crumbled bleu cheese, and delightful candied walnuts, complimented by tart raspberry vinaigrette. By the way, it's gluten-free. We loved the rich cream of crab soup du jour, full of crab lumps and full of flavor, with a little spice from good old Old Bay. Delicious and dreamy. Their quesadillas were served a la carte as an appetizer, loaded with savory roasted chicken, heavy with a mild cheese and a lightly spicy flavorful thick red sauce, rolled in tender lightly seared flour tortillas. Generous and satisfying. Matthew's building dates from around 1862 as a station and hotel at the end of a horse-car line, before electricity!
