Got the Just a kick soup. Overall has good flavor. It's buffet style and you put what you want into your bowl. Lots of workers behind the counter, but no one in the dinning area. They need someone in dinning area since it looked rather messy. And bathroom was clogged which seems to be a consistent problem. I told a worker and nothing was done about it.

Despite the reviews I've been seeing on this place my friend and I decided to try this place out. And we were pleasantly surprised!! We both got "just a kick" and LOVED the flavor of the broth! It was the perfect amount of spicy and not overwhelming. It was the addictive, slightly numbing spice that makes you go back for more. My bowl came out to 29 dollars and to be honest even though it was good I don't feel like it was worth being a 29 dollar bowl. All the ingredients I got were good, but it seemed overpriced for what I got. When we got there the restaurant was empty and so our food came out pretty quick! The staff was nice, though we didn't have much interaction with them. The interior is very pretty, clean, and has a very zen vibe. There's also an option to sit outdoors. I feel like this wouldn't be a spot I would go to ALL the time because of the price, but definitely a place I'll go when I get that spicy food craving.

This was unfortunately a little disappointing for me. Prices were a little crazy (VG rent I get it) but I've gotten the same weight in food at other malatang places and it was not this crazy. The broth itself felt flat and no sauce bar :/ The interior was highk hype tho they have this cool like river table. Just come for the Instagram photos with the table. Really sad because I wished a Chinese Rancho Cucamonga spot could flourish but it was just mid :(

Happy to find a malatang place in the Inland Empire, because I was craving for it! This place is a new restaurant that opened up within Victoria Gardens. Luckily it is not located far from a parking structure so it is very convenient to go there. It is not a big space, but they have a nice long table for people to gather around. Inside, the restaurant provides you a bowl and there are many choices from meat (including wagyu), seafood, tofu, vegetables, and noodles that you can select like a buffet. I like that they are mindful to mention any gluten-free items. I got the savory mix for spicy & sweet to go, and it was delicious with the right amount of spice flavor. Cost was the only downside to this place since it is a little bit pricey, but it might have been myself since I didn't pay attention to how much I was putting in my bowl since it is $15.99/lb. Service was really nice when you checkout and hand them your bowl. They will ask you how you want your food to be cooked and it took about 10 minutes for me on a weekday lunch time around 12pm to receive it. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming once in a while to here since I like the variety of choices they provide.

I noticed the reviews are pretty mixed on this place. I have a flair for Asian food, and cooking it is my forte, so when I order it from somewhere where it is their specialty, I really want to be impressed. I tried it with no real expectations because for ME, when it comes to Asian food, I've never really had an experience whereas I look forward to returning. Not to say, they are all bad, but sometimes the dishes don't suit MY taste. Anyway, I think most people will enjoy Tang Bar. The food is definitely fresh. It is clean, well kept, and inviting. The service is also very good. You can see what was ordered from the pictures.

First time here. Wanted to love this place. But it was just mediocre for me. Although the cashier was super nice. Doesn't make up for the taste of the soup. It was not good at all. Will definitely not be back.

Tang Bar is vibrant and full of flavor, bringing a burst of sunshine with every sip. It's refreshing, smooth, and perfectly balanced -- a soup that instantly lifts your mood and brightens your day.

I chose the chicken broth, non spicy, quite salty

Food at this place is a three star in my heart but I don't want their reviews to sink even lower and I hope they can improve in the future. What made me gave them one extra star is their good service and nice interior arrangement. So the downside I see, not sure if it's because I went so early today, as soon as they open, most of their ingredients that froze together has not yet been defrosted completely, it's okay with seafood, but not okay if it's sliced meat, they chose to use the thicker slice on beef, when you boil frozen beef slice, they became tough to eat, like really tough. I saw one of the staff also trying to break apart a big chunk of squid that was froze together. They don't have a sauce bar nor a coriander corner, so I don't see the normal combination of minced garlic, green onions or cilantro, only a small bottle of soy sauce and black vinegar. You can ask for a dipping sauce, they have chili oil or sesame sauce. I asked for the sesame sauce, it was okay. But again, very odd a malatang place has no self serve sauce area. For soup base, I ordered chicken broth, it's decent imo. I wanted something light without too much oil, it worked for me. Will I return again soon? Maybe if I'm at Victoria garden and really wanted some malatang, but I'm not in a hurry.

Finally the MaLaTang restaurant opened up in Victoria Gardens. The decor is very modern with high raised ceiling and large open door design. The look is very nice however it allowed a lot of flying insects including flys inside the restaurant. They have a large variety of meat and seafood choices and the veggies are fresh. The soup base choices are also different from other similar restaurants. I chose the hot and sour soup base, while I asked for less spicy, I don't think it actually made any difference, because it was still really spicy. And the chicken broth soup base was a bit bland, and the potatoes we chose were still a bit raw. Overall ok experience with room for improvement.

    Lady D C.

Wish I can five star for friendly staff. The food here unfortunately is a big fail. The price is on the high side. The soup base is just salt and spicy sauce. No taste to other than that. The beef was bad. It was tough and very chewy. The vegetables were ok. Just washed and cut. I wouldn't touch the seafood. Mushrooms looked clean. No I would not go here again There is a reason for 3 star rating for this place.

    Mia A.

Place is very unique and clean. You walk in grab a bowl and tongs and build your own bowl. At the end you choose your soup. Thankfully we asked but the only broth they offer without pork is the vegan mushroom broth. We wish there were other options without pork, but that wasn't the case. They offer sauces on the side and they have a toppings station. Good food and good time with the family. The employees were very helpful as well. A very nice experience!

Chicken dumplings had a good filling to wrapper ratio, but the filling needed way more seasoning. It just tasted like wet, mushy stuff inside, and drowning the dumpling in chili oil barely helped. And the two fried dishes weren't flavorful either--they weren't dredged very well, so they just tasted like oil. This was especially disappointing for the scallion pancake, since it looked nice...but didn't taste of scallions at all. Overall, really disappointing. I might give it a try at a different location if the opportunity comes up, but with the menu being rather small, I'm not even sure it'd be worth the time.

There's lots of traffic so be weary of the cars that pass by and when we went there were tons of people. We walked in and they took our name and phone number and about a 40 min wait. This place can probably fit 40 people, it's so small. We tried a few items such as their beef roll, wonton with chili sauce, their seven grams xlb, , fried mini buns, noodle with scallion oil sauce, and potato string shrimp. Their seven grams xlb was disappointing, the broth and meat inside didn't have any flavor to it IMO. The mini buns were sweet and heavy, and we split one and didn't touch the rest. The noodle with scallion sauce was just okay...again, not much flavor. I didn't like the potato shrimp at all, too doughy and hard. The beef rolls were just okay to me, again kinda bland without dumping it in shoyu and vinegar). The best dish was their spicy wontons. It had a nice kick to it and we saved the sauce to dump everything else we ate in it lol.

I ordered the sweet and sour pork that came with egg drop soup, fried rice and some appetizers (shrimp, eggroll and a wonton). The pork was ok, and i didn't really like the sauce, it left an after taste. The soup was good and rice was good. I was already full, by the time I realized it was appetizers in the bag. I cant justify any of these dishes making me want to consume bowls upon bowls of rice. That's what spicy Szechuan and Hunan food is supposed to do....it should make you awaken your taste buds, with the power of their chilli peppers, Szechuan green & red peppercorns, and the umamis derived from MSG. Nope, I didn't crave the Lazi Chicken...nor the Hot Oil Beef Mix...
