As soon as I submitted my order an employee called to confirm it, and I was able to give them my estimated arrival time. They had my order packed and ready right when I walked in, which made pickup super easy. The food was delicious! I ordered the liang pi and pork burger, which is one of my favorite combos. The liang pi was refreshing and paired really well with the savory pork burger. I'd highly recommend getting both if you're looking for a good combo, or just getting the liang pi if you're craving something refreshing. This is my second time here. I drove my rig into the plaza after coming back from my Sacramento dispatch trip. Last time I had the beef tripe noodles (B+) not bad, but worth an order. I had their lamb skewers the first time around...not on my recommend list, you'll do better at any of those skewer places in City of Industry along Gale Ave and Frank and Sons. I had there Rou Jia Mou Meat Hamburgers from what I remember, maybe because I was too full, I didn't finish it, and disregarded packing my bun togo...so that being said, the Rou Jia Mou was pretty mediocre. Nice interior though, very cafe like. My favorite noodle texture ever. There's few places that have a really bouncy noodle texture and can maintain it and this is one of those places. We took this home and I microwaved it and it was still good. The order came out within 10 minutes and the restaurant was empty since we went 30 minutes before closing. Came in with a few coworkers for lunch and wow this place has exceeded our expectations. We were quickly sat and ordered through our phones, which was super easy and efficient. We got the hand ripped noodles with pulled pork, shrimp fried rice, and mapo tofu with braised beef brisket. Our food came out so fast! Everything was bursting with flavor and portions were huge--perfect for family style. Our fav was definitely the hand pulled/ripped noodles. Outstanding service! We called around 7:45 to check if they were still accepting walk ins and they were extremely kind about letting us stay past their closing time to finish our food. They never rushed us and were extremely helpful. The restaurant was clean and had a QR ordering system as well as servers if you need help. There were a lot of options but we ordered the mapo tofu with braised brisket and sautéed spicy chicken noodles. The mapo tofu had a delicious tangy sauce with the szechuan spice. The brisket was a bit chewier than expected, but was wonderfully seasoned. The hand pulled noodles were nice and chewy, but the standout part of the dish was the potatoes. They were slightly crispy on the outside, but still nice and soft on the inside. I would definitely recommend this place and we look forward to coming again to try more items from the menu! read more

Did a little search and found this Changan Kitchen restaurant nearby, so we decided to give them a try. Upon entering the restaurant, you could feel a positive vibe. Came across this restaurant browsing thru Yelp ! Reviews were great so went here for Saturday lunch! No pork belly in the menu so when I inquired our server he had the manager or chef ( I didn't ask) talk to me. There was a Chicken or Tofu Cashew and he said he will substitute it with the pork belly!! I was ecstatic that they accommodated my preference of pork belly meat!! The noodles, on the other hand, were mind-blowing with flavor and texture. The food here is amazing. Folks from the homeland love this place and for good reason. The noodles are handmade and so chewy and delicious. I always get the hand pulled noodles with stew pork (N5), that one's the best. The standout dishes are the liang pi, sweet and sour eggplant, biang biang, stewed pork burger, cumin beef noodles, spicy chicken noodles, etc. I've tried other stuff on the menu too I can't really remember which ones exactly but they're all pretty good ngl. I always go here with cuzzo and auntie they love it too. It's frustrating because I wanna try new stuff but every time I come here I end up getting the same thing cuz it's so good. I loved this place and was my go to place for the #17. Stir fry pork belly. I ordered it today and had to send it back cause it was over cooked. Went back and they made me a new one and the flavor was on point but something was off and I finally realized what it was. The place is going cheap on the meat! The pork belly in the past was not to thin and not to thick. Now they are slicing it razor thin and it totally throws the dish off. It's like chewing on small bits of leather. The teriyaki chicken looks like orange chicken but it was still tasty because I personally like fried food. Sauteed spicy chicken noodles was extremely good. If I go again next time for this dish, i would ask for more sauce. One downside this time for the dock of star is because we did not have a refill in water, nor did we have a jug. It took us awhile to wave down someone for the bill and a box. They only had one person serving and bussing while another seem to only be doing drinks. Not disappointing for my second time visiting! Rainy days need noodles! We were heading to Arcadia but the rain was pounding pretty hard during our one rain storm a year. So we decided to find a place a little closer. Delicious food and adding that chili oil made it bump up with smoky spice. The giant bowl of soup had so much sustenance. On the thicker side sort of like an egg drop consistency. They had a satisfying thickness and texture, which allowed them to absorb the sauce perfectly. There was plenty of sauce, definitely enough to share with some rice. IS20 is definitely a dish meant to be shared by more than two people. It was huge and loaded with toppings and fish. I've been here twice, and I have to say service is a little biased. I noticed that service for non-asian patrons is a little better than if you're asian. Take that however you want. The food is pretty good and has the authentic flavors I look for when I come here. It's nice to have an option for not americanized Chinese food. I got the tomato egg handpulled noodles- because I wanted some simple home cooked-type of dish and it was good but slightly too salty for me. The preserved egg tofu appetizer was super cold- almost frozen, which confused me, but it was tossed in a sauce that was very good, but probably not for everyone. I'll have to say that these five stars can represent the amount of times I've been here already. The location is a bit hard to find, but once inside, there's plenty of seating to choose from and the service is very attentive. The restaurant is always nice to visit whether it's night or day. I've been here multiple times in the past couple of months and I have to say my top dishes are the "Biang Biang" noodles. I've gotten this three times and each time is as good as the first. The hand-tossed chewy noodles do not compare to other Chinese noodle places because these have my favorite texture and flavor with all of the spices. As for the other delicious dishes, the burger was interesting, the pan fried buns are a classic must order, and the slow braised beef noodle soup delicious and are pretty well portioned. The price is very generous for the meal you receive. I can say that I will be looking for this place when I crave a noodle soup in the future. read more

I have never found Xi'an food (large city in western China known for terracotta warriors and spicy food) in the U.S. before, so I was excited to find this restaurant on Yelp. Ambiance: The restaurant is located in a small plaza but the interior is really cute. Kind of seems like it used to be something other than a Chinese restaurant but the new owners didn't bother with a full remodel. Service: About what you'd expect for a Chinese restaurant, if not better than average, although we ordered in Chinese so your mileage may vary. They kept our water filled, which isn't always the case at Chinese restaurants. Food: We ordered four dishes (three vegetarian to accommodate my current meat fast), all with "less oil, less salt" instructions, and everything was excellent. Biang Biang Noodles, a hand-pulled noodle dish from Xi'an, were incredible despite the simple ingredients (just noodle, minced garlic, and chili oil). The al dente texture of the noodles had that great spring in every bite. The noodles themselves are super long so you have to cut them with chopsticks/spoon. The eggplant + green bean dish is an unusual mix of my two favorite Chinese food veggies to get at restaurants but was quite tasty even with just the two veggies as ingredients. Shredded Potato Stir Fry (酸辣土豆丝) is always simple but solid. Feels weird to pay that much for potatoes but it hits the spot. Cumin Lamb looked good but I didn't actually try it.
