I met the Di Lusso team at the Pearl Street Wedding Event in the spring, and they were so incredibly accommodating, helping me lock in my date with less than three months' notice. Because I live in a different time zone from where the wedding took place, communication could have been tricky, but they were exceptionally responsive, kind, and professional over email from day one. I trusted them completely. ​Jen was our stylist, and she was absolutely FANTASTIC. She has a wealth of experience, is a true professional, and she matched the fun vibe of our wedding party perfectly. My trial on Friday was a lifesaver--it eased every last bit of anxiety I had. On the morning of the wedding, it felt amazing to just relax and know Jenn had everything completely under control. She went above and beyond, listened to feedback, shared her brilliant expertise, and kept us perfectly on schedule. We truly cannot imagine the morning without her! I have 2c/3a hair and have never really trusted people with it after multiple failed attempts at a curly cut but she genuinely amazed me! She even taught me how to style it! So my hair looks good even if I do it! I think it's also important to add that I had super long hair past my butt when I went in, so I was very concerned that she would cut more than I wanted her to, but she absolutely did exactly what I asked for! My daughter was excited and I left her there (was quoted ~ 2 hours for the perm) since she knows what she wanted done to her hair. Pics attached of the perm to this post. It was done in under two hours and when I picked her up the front was curly but I felt the back was ... not done?! We were told to let it 'air dry' and the curls are forever until her hair grows out. Few hours later after it was completely dry we still felt the back was not curly. It had a curtain of waves on top but the bottom looked like her before perm straight hair. I texted the stylist who did the perm the situation. She replied: "She honestly probably just needs a trim, as perms can be a little damaging. If you want to bring her in on friday or Saturday i can do it for her. No charge of course". My daughter was hesitant the trim would be done terribly as well, and in the end she wanted a headful of curls so we didn't go for the trim. Julia had told me she designed and decorated the entire place herself (which even included the logo) which is quite impressive. She has a great eye for style and it shows in the welcoming, relaxing feel of her salon. The salon is also set in an old house, which makes it really cozy. Now onto the work that Julia does with her hair design. Today, I went in for cut and color. Before beginning, Julia made sure she had the exact idea of what I wanted from my visit down to every detail. She also spent a good amount of time going over my color choice for the day and making sure I was comfortable and excited about my new dye color. Julia is very knowledgeable about what colors and hair styles go well with your skin tone. She is very detailed oriented and she really wants to customers to love their hairstyle. While I was waiting for my dye to set, Julia offered me a cup of coffee or tea, whatever I wanted! This made the whole experience warm and relaxing.
