We started out at Lake Wallenpaupack and ended our day with you... so glad we did! When she realized that we were going to be having dinner with you, she really got excited. From the moment we walked in, the decor was welcoming and warm. We were met with the hosts and given options where we would like to sit. We opted to dine in the enclosed porch. It was very cozy, the quartz heaters warming the area very nicely. Our server Daniel, was exceptional. Explaining all about the menu and specials. My wife had the sword fish, I had the chicken. We got the shaved brussel sprouts and the kimchi rice to share. Well.... Our food came out and presentation was spectacular. From the first bite to the last, we thoroughly enjoyed every taste we were experiencing. The chef and kitchen staff definitely showed their skill and passion for creating a great dining experience! There were so many leaks in the ceiling when it poured and all thru dinner people had to either move tables or be transferred inside. No apologies from staff who acted like this was normal. You are greeted by staff when you arrive, who park your car ,escort you in, take your bags, etc. The lobby is so inviting, a gourmet snack or drink will be offered to you upon arrival. The guest rooms are big so peacefully decorated clean and modern. 2 The Grounds, beautifully maintained open space; a lake for boating, birding talks, bike riding, axe throwing, group hikes, wine tasting, garden demonstrations, outdoor exercise classes. there is an exstensive garden that grows produce for the chefs menu. 3 The Restaurant, wonderful selection of food and drinks, live music. Make a reservation ahead of time to get your table and time. 4 The Activities (included in the price), check out their website, classes are listed ahead of time, and you should sign up for them before your stay. Here's the ones we did; kombucha making, painting, fire making ,yoga, birding, axe throwing, wine tasting, cooking demo, Bosu Ball, Zumba, live music, sleep therapy, veg garden lecture, wood working. There is also every exercise class imaginable. Chef samples and different types of non alcoholic drinks are always available in the common areas. 5. The Spa (not included in price), upscale clean, talented massage therapists We went in 2020 and 2023 and are planning to go back next year. 6. Other things to note; Guests are probably 80% women, mother daughter, women's weekend, things like this, not many men except couples. I recommend booking your activities spa and restaurant reservations ahead of time so you get the spots you want. This can all be done online. The Lodge is not cheap, but it is so well worth it! We arrived early prior our schedule and we were told by the associate to be in the dock 10 minutes prior boarding. It has a porta potty by the huge parking lot and were suggested to use it before going to the lake. Arriving earlier gave us half hour to enjoy the pedestrian walk path by the lake . A beautiful sight to behold. If only we have time, there is a walking trail along. The tour was enjoyable, our guide was amazing. The ride gave us the chance to explore the history behind this man made lake. We solved the relaxation we craved through this boat trip for this weekend. An enjoyable ride.

As soon as you get to the edge of the property, you are navigating a maze of tiny signs in Woodloch handwriting, trying to figure out where to turn to sign in. I made a couple of wrong turns. Once I got there, I had to figure out where the door was. Signing in was actually quite painless, mainly because other family members had signed in moments before, but I didn't get a map so I was lost the rest of the time, depending on others to navigate around (and we definitely had questions). Event timing. I missed out on a couple of events because things we wanted to do were double-booked. Then we had off time when nothing was booked. Why not spread things out throughout the day? Events themselves. We thought bowling would be fun. It was a hollow ball so that anyone any age could roll it. The bad bowlers did better than the good ones. That's what made me miss trivia, though perhaps that would have also been no fun. Okay: A nice house we got, though the living room had a bunch of wasps outside the window so I was definitely not happy there. Clear your nests. Also at least one of our cards went bad, but I wasn't staying more than a day so I didn't have to worry about that. Beers. A couple of locals, just poor selection overall. Good: Pools. Multiple. All ages, all temperatures. Too crowded outslde? Go inside. Three different hot tubs. Kiddie splash area inside, which added to my family's enjoyment when I accidentally discovered it while wandering inside to use the restroom. (Part of that being lost problem. Lack of signs for anything.) Food. Though it went on my family's tab, they will feed you whatever you want for whichever meals you sign up for. My family will enjoy breakfasts and dinners to their hearts' content. Very high quality meals. You are assigned a table and a server, for whatever that's worth to you - definitely one less way to get lost! But if you don't like your server... I'm willing to bet they would work something out. Guest service was not a problem. Overall: I am being a little generous in stars because resorts are not my thing. But this place is in desperate need of an upgrade in signing everything. The lovely Eleanor does such a great job at greeting everyone and taking them to their table. It really feels like you're part of the family going up to Lukan's every year. The staff is so welcoming and genuinely seem happy to be serving you. Their team is on it! Always coming out with more food, drinks and anything you need, all while serving multiple tables that are usually parties of 5 or more. All the waitstaff seems to get along too, trying to enjoy their time together. This year, our server Jillian was a treat! She was so on her game, helping my family and keeping our plates full. The Farm itself is so lovely, tons of outdoor games like Ping Pong and Basketball. If you venture deeper into the property you can have some fun with all the animals like sheep, goats, chickens and even a Peacock. Delicious meat entrees, fresh grown farm vegetables, garden salads, fresh fruit appetizers, and OMG desserts! Her heartfelt words wrapped around my core; saying WELCOME HOME. Oh, and it was home at its finest. From the 4pm welcome social, that included delicious White & Red wines that danced graciously on your palate. Various delectable cheeses, crackers, olives & thinly sliced turkey meats. YUMMY, they were! Movie nights, s'more's & more libation at your choice. The next morning, a scrupulously delicious breakfast was served; with a fresh brewed coffee from Ethiopia & a freshly squeezed grapefruit hearty drink. Yoga awaits me at 11am. I'm now chilling at the warm pool ‍ until my 2:30 Swedish massage ‍. Tonight (11/8), Saturday with my incredible cousins and their lovely friends who joined us on a "Cousin's Girl Weekend", will be celebrating me & my birthday .
