Seating area in lobby near fireplace and bar

This inn is so cozy and cute! Love the small bar and comfy seating around the huge fireplace. The rooms are a little dated (carpets and chairs could use an update), but spacious and meets basic needs. Our room #206 had a gas fireplace, king size bed, and jacuzzi tub for two. Breakfast was included in our stay. Total cost was about $300 a night for a Saturday night in early April. Wish they had the option for tea in the room instead of just coffee, but that's my only complaint. We didn't get a chance to have dinner at the inn's restaurant, but we enjoyed excellent cocktails at the bar later that evening while listening to live piano music. There are also cocktail and wine tastings nearly every evening, though we didn't have a chance to try (we were visiting family). Highly recommend staying for a few days and enjoying all the lovely amenities.

We were sat at 12:45 and food came to our table at 2:20. The restaurant was pretty empty. The menu was very small about 10 items, a Sunday menu. Food horrible! I could not eat the overcooked roast beef sandwich.... Usually I don't write negative reviews but it was horrible.. see pictures below

Overall stay was good. Kinda wish I didn't get the room I got. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff was very pleasant and nice. It's the only reason I give it a 4 star review. The dinner just failed I don't know if I'm judging on a finer dining scale or just casual. The food lacked seasoning salt and black pepper. The amuse Bouche was ok lacked acid. The poutine was the best dish I had but also lacked salt and black pepper. I ordered the meat loaf the whole dish in itself was just blah In the flavor department. The mushroom Demi glaze had no umami flavor. The veg was so uninspired they didn't even peel the carrot. There was nothing that got my attention for dessert. But as I say give the place a try might be something you like!

Went for anniversary dinner. Wait staff could not have been nicer nor more helpful with menu selections. First a few chef offerings which set an anticipation. They Appetizers were chef specials with farm to table selections and good. Skate was nice, filet mignon a bit pricey but very good and lastly the server suggested plum cake with caramel and whip cream. Really great ending to the meal. Will be going again. I've included pictures... presentation was incredible.

I absolutely loved both of my meals. I am not a big breakfast fan but I needed the nourishment for the road trip haul back to my state. The omelet was very filling. The seasoned fries were sumptious. My dinner was very good as well. The different tastes meshed well together. The beans were delicious. I literally ate everything on my plate minus one piece of meat (due to being full)

I attended a wedding at Settler's Inn and was blown away by the gardens. Such a beautiful setting outside. The food was amazing. The only downfall was that I asked for change at the open bar downstairs and it seemed like they thought I'd "forgotten" about it. They also turned the lights off at the bar before the wedding downstairs was over... not the worst thing but not entirely professional.

This place had a nice ambiance, small but rustic and warm. They had a good amount of vegetarian options in the appetizer section which is always important since my husband is a vegetarian. The stuffed peppadews were delicious and unlike anything I have tried before. The coconut shrimp that comes on the side of the Creole shrimp chowder soup is amazing and the soup is very good too. CPT

Another wonder time at the Settlers Inn. We went for Jazz on the Deck, and had an early dinner on the back patio. The music was great, and it was a beautiful evening. It's best to make a reservation and get in early. We sat down for dinner at 5:30 and the place was packed by 6:30. Ask JD to make you his candied bacon old fashioned... great way to start out the weekend.

Classy, quaint, and country feel!!! Love that I found this place when I decided to visit the Poconos and found Hawley! Room 301 was so spacious! The bathroom shower was so large and new. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and I included with the room. The hotel has the free bikes for use. Great way to explore the town and surrounding trails. one negative about room 301: it is facing Main Avenue, the main road through Hawley, to and from other towns. So if you are a light sleeper, you might hear the cars and trucks coming and going. I didn't have a problem until I was getting up, hard to fall back to sleep. Room 301 is the only room with 2 Queens size beds (it is one of the few family rooms). The other family room is 2 suites connected by a bathroom. Each of the suite has only one queen size bed.

Post dinner. Very full, and very happy. What a beautiful restaurant.

Although we have stayed here in the past, we stopped in to dine on this occasion. They had just launched their fall menu, and everything we ate was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is wonderful, and we all enjoyed the small seasonal menu that emphasized the local farm to to table fare. We all tried different menu options (monkfish; pasta; polenta with lobster; chicken), and we all, universally, loved our dishes. I highly recommend the Settler's Inn for dinner.

Simply put, this is a lovely hotel. From the beautiful gardens to the softest sheets ever, you will not find a better hotel than Settlers Inn in this area. The lobby was filled with fresh cut flowers and comfortable sitting areas. Equipped with a bar, restaurant and patio area, you cannot go hungry and certainly not thirsty staying here. I felt safe here and would return for sure. Each hotel room is unique and different. Mine had a view of the garden, a small couch and an armoire to hang my clothes in. This is not a "trendy" place to stay, but rather a classic bed and breakfast that you would see in a magazine. There is a coffee bar in the morning for guests to enjoy and breakfast that is included. You'd be mad not to have breakfast here- it is wonderful.

While we ended up going with a different event space, closer to our ceremony site, I would recommend Stonehouse Gardens to anyone looking for a unique and rustic place to host an event, particularly if you are looking to be in the natural beauty of the outdoors. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our big day so special, and our family and friends were absolutely raving about the beauty of the venue, both inside and out. Many of them said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The setting is so beautiful, and we had our ceremony outside in the pavilion. Cocktail hour was out on the porch/lawn, and the reception was in the main room. Everything was impeccably set up and decorated, and the staff worked so hard to bring my vision to life. The caterer that they recommended was excellent, and there was seamless coordination between the winery and all of the vendors. Brook Hollow has a large, diverse selection of wines, and we and our guests thoroughly enjoyed several of them throughout the day. We went to visit a few locations, and searched many more online for days on weeks. It was when we stumbled upon this venue that we knew our search was over. Owls Hoot Barn checked off every box we wanted in a wedding venue. There were even factors we had not necessarily considered in a venue that OHB was and to deliver without fail. The grounds of venue - gorgeous, the owner and her entire family/team - most amazing people you can find, decor and supplies - everything we wanted and needed, overall experience - exactly what you would expect when you think of a small piece of paradise/heaven! And this also includes the fact that our beloved pups were allowed to be on the grounds and partake in our special day! The owner of the venue, who was also our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to help us arrange everything we needed to make it wedding perfect. Even going as far to come back on site for our rehearsal dinner during her own wedding anniversary! How many people would be willing to do that? Her passion for ensuring every couple out there sees their vision fulfilled is truly one that is undeniable and unique. We could not have pulled this off, let alone reduce our wedding planning stress significantly, without her help. My now wife, our current (and future pups) and myself now have found a place we don't just refer to as a hidden gem, but a small place we can call another home. For any future couples out there, whether you are considered local or coming from another state of the U.S. entirely, you will fall in love with OHB. My wife probably would think I shouldn't leave too long of a review as some people might think "that one is too long to read" but I can't help express how much we truly were blessed with this place...so much that even to this day we joke about doing it all over again just to relive our wedding weekend back in October 2025. For any current/future couples out there searching for a wedding venue in Hudson Valley, NY...this place should absolutely be #1 on your list!
