We are in a time crunch, and your store hours need to be accurate. You can't open a store only when someone calls, and then ask them to wait 30 minutes. The store opened less than an hour ago, so it's not like this is a lunch break.

I called the store just a few minutes before closing and asked if they could stay open for five extra minutes so we could grab what we needed. They were so kind and agreed without hesitation. I didn't catch the name of the person who helped us, but I'm incredibly grateful they answered the phone and stayed open for us. They had a great selection of dance wear and shoes. So this was a big step to buy a new pair of pointe shoes again. The Red Shoes is a store I passed by often but unfortunately it was closed by the time I was around. Thankfully today I caught the shop open and I'm so glad I did!! Lilly was absolutely phenomenal. She made the process so much easier with her kindness, patience and knowledge. I cannot stress how knowledgeable, patient and kind she was. I didn't feel judged for being an adult coming in to get a pair of pointe shoes which was a great feeling! She took lots of time to work with me to find the perfect fit for each foot and even showed me all the new ways pointe has become a little more comfortable. From the ouch pouch to clear stretch tips! On top of her great customer service, the price of everything I left with today was extremely fair. Lilly went above and beyond and not only helped me but made me feel welcomed (which from what I remember as a kid, it wasn't always that way in many ballet spaces). I also want to mention her co-worked (unfortunately I didn't get the name) but she was also very sweet too! Kimber was incredibly helpful. She got me all the sizes I asked for. The shoe still didn't feel right so I asked if the store had any other black character shoes or shoes that looked like character shoes. She brought so many boxes. She was so helpful. I went with a totally different brand that I had not seen at other dance stores, because they were one of the non theatre shoes that Kimber brought out. I feel much better than when I went in.
