So happy to see a restaurant like this come to an area that desperately needed it. Went here for Mother's Day brunch with my parents and sister, and ended up waiting about 35 minutes for a table. It's understandably crowded on the weekends, so I wish they took reservations or at least call-aheads. The menu is huge, and has plenty of gluten free options. I opted for the Smokey Benedict -- smoked salmon, hash browns, and scallion Hollandaise, and swapped in gluten free bread (an Udi's bun) for the English muffin. The benedict was delicious, and served with equally yummy home fries. The rest of my party had the white fish salad platter, the cream chipped beef, and the huevos rancheros. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Wait staff was spectacular. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, despite being incredibly busy. A runner brought out our food, and noticed immediately that my dad's cream chipped beef wasn't as he had ordered it -- he insisted on returning it to the kitchen and fixing it. Most food runners wouldn't have noticed the error, let alone been insistent on getting it perfectly right. We were extremely impressed by his professionalism and kindness. Owner or manager (I don't know who he was but very hands on) replaced a customers egg taco order with great hospitality and precision after checking on a table being served by, I assume, a new waitress (I'm very observant hahaha and she was my waitress soooo). I had the 6 hour hash with the two poached eggs!!! Not the dog food hash I've had all my life. Big juicy pieces of corned beef brisket, peppers, onions.....I was a third of the way through before realizing I hadn't ketchup'd my hash (I only eat most breakfast foods for the ketchup....this may make you think I have dead taste buds but I only use ketchup on breakfast foods because breakfast isn't really my thing and ketchup is so tasty...so realizing I forgot my breakfast staple proves how amazing this meal was) this, in itself, was mind blowing!!! Great side of marble rye toast to make this the best breakfast ever. My partner had the blueberry pancakes & eggs with bacon. The pancakes were absolutely the best pancake I've ever tasted. Like a muffin or cake. Unbelievable! Huge fresh berries on top and swirled within. I was so stuffed yet my fork kept reaching over to his plate (he's great at sharing ). The bacon was cooked just like I like it (minimal - to no fat, thick like jerky). Hands down the best breakfast spot in all of DELCO. read more

Their food is great, and their staff is super nice. The only reason I give 4 stars is I am not a fan of their coffee, and when sat down it took about 10 minutes to meet the server and put drinks in (it wasn't very busy). Also, this is aside from their food quality (which is 5/5) and their service (4/5) - it kind of put a depressing mood when we read about their fish. Apparently someone put their food in the fish tank and killed their beautiful fish. While i think that is incredibly sad, I don't think the rest of their patrons should need to see the reason the fish tank is empty (it was written and put on the tank). We were tourists in Philly & just ended up driving by Tank & Libby's. We stopped in and were pleasantly surprised by our find. The restaurant was busy for about mid-morning, but we were seating immediately. Our server was attentive and friendly & the food was excellent. Decent breakfast spot that's easy to miss if you don't know what they do here. Stopped here for with a friend and opted for breakfast. First of all, the coffee was amazing. It's La Colombe and you can tell besides the fact that every cup that was poured tasted fresh. My dining partner ordered an omelette which was huge and I ordered the French toast. I was happy to see that it was served with real maple syrup. I was a little disappointed with the bread which was supposed to be a challah but seemed more like regular bread. It was well prepared but kind of bland. I would come back to try something else but not the French toast. Service was ok not fabulous and then we kept feeling like we were being pushed out the door even though there were many empty tables. We were trying to have a leisurely breakfast. I left a 33 percent tip anyway since we were there for two hours. read more

Went back again with a friend or two. I tried the bananas foster pancakes. They were so fluffy and the rum sauce complimented the bananas with the pancakes. We also got the great one. Nutella and strawberry French toast. Definitely recommend this one if you love nutella. It really hits the spot for a nutella craving. Our friend got the chicken and waffle and he enjoyed his meal as well. We returned recently with my other friend and she enjoyed the French toast. I had an egg white omelet with avocado and crab meat and I think it was like $12 which is some serious value. What a cute addition to the neighborhood! Breakfast here on Friday morning was great. I had an omelet with veggies and my friend had huevos rancheros-- she mentioned loving the pork and that they were filling and delicious. We didn't have the best service ever, but for a new place they are doing a great job! Everybody was really friendly and the renovations look great. The restaurant was crowded, but we were able to sit right away. They have some really delicious sounding items on the menu and I am excited to come back and try more of their breakfast and lunch options. read more

I've gone back a few time since I work in the area. My new plan is to get an omelette (the photo in my original review) and eat around 10:30 AM. If is enough to fill me up before I leave work, with only a light snack in the afternoon. So for $12.00 (I have since dropped the $4.00 side of bacon) I get brunch that lasts until dinner. The French Toast and Pancakes look wonderful but I have yet to order. They could improve their sides. The potato hash could be crispier. We've been twice since they opened. The first time had great potential, but they seemed short staffed and I wanted to give them a second chance before reviewing. Went today and it was great. My kids opted to split a full portion of the blueberry pancakes and enjoyed it immensely. My husband raved about the big fish and said he'd happily get that again. I got the fried chicken & waffles again, and unfortunately they were out of chicken. But fortunately, I could still get the bacon waffle and added a side of eggs. That waffle is top notch, the sweet waffle is perfectly paired with the savory bacon. One of the other reviewers gave a very critical review, including their coffee. Considering they serve La Colombe, I'm sure that person was either being critical for spite or has no functioning taste buds. read more

We absolutely love Tank and Libby's. It's a privilege to find a restaurant in the area with such a large choice for a gourmet breakfast, brunch, and lunch. We often start off with their green drink, our favorite coffee. Our first visit we knew there was a true chef in house w/ a skilled team.
