It was my first time here! I shared the following with my husband: * chicken & waffles - This was probably our favorite part of the entire meal. I really loved that the chicken was crispy, had bacon in the batter, and was uniquely spiced. * huevos rancheros - The potatoes were perfect and maybe my favorite part of this dish, do wish the meat on the dish was warmer though. * a side of cookie dough French toast (the weekly special) - I'm not normally into French toast and am more of a savory breakfast person, but this was amazing and I'm glad I got a small side because it's super sweet. They allow reservations for Mon-Fri only and Sat/Sun is first come first serve. We came on a cold day and I didn't want to wait so we sat outside but unfortunately our table didn't have a heater near ours like some of the others did. Thankfully, the staff let us move when a table opened up and I appreciated that we could efficiently pay for the meal online using the QR code on our receipt (pretty cool)! read more

This place is amazing. Truly, it must the best brunch spot in Delco and possibly the whole Philly area. I've never had anything other than brunch here, but their brunch is the best! The only thing missing are mimosas and the like, but you can't have everything you want in life. Be frivolous and get something sweet. They do sweet dishes better than anyone, and every weekend they have a limited menu with the most interesting creations. The best thing I've ever had from them was the chocolate banana baked french toast, which I have yet to see back on the menu again. The service is good but be aware there are usually crowds on the weekends. For what it's worth the crowds are warranted, and I don't mind getting their early or waiting it out for some delicious food. This place is one of my favorites! read more

It's little things like: - The coffee, in this case LaColombe, has real flavor without overpowering you. - The potatoes are cooked perfectly (so many places get this part wrong). - They don't kill the bacon. She had the nerve to be shocked at the portions (large) and asked for a doggie bag before she picked up her fork. I'm a potato girl and these potatoes were seasoned well. The omelette was perfect. My husband and I needed a place to eat while we waited for a local store to open and since this place had great reviews, I had to try it. I was hoping the wait wouldn't be too long as it was Sunday at 11am. They told us 20 minutes but it only took about 5 minutes to get a table. The service was great and our food was delicious!!!! I ordered the Rise and Shine and asked for cheese to be added to the eggs. when the food came out, it didn't have cheese, which is not a biggie. just asked for the server to bring a new plate of eggs out. she came back 3 minutes later and asked for the eggs on my plate back and apologized since it was the chef asking. I thought this was weird but figured he didnt want me to have double eggs. five minutes later THE SAME eggs were returned to me with cheese on top, not even melted and the eggs were also luke warm. I asked the server if that's what he did and she confirmed. I asked for a manger at this point and instead I was given a different server to express how unprofessional and how doing that breaks food and health codes and also just lazy. they did offer me new eggs, which I of course declined because at this point I don't need a pissed off chef doing anything to my food. the best resolution the restaurant gave me was taking off the charge of extra cheese... so just beware they dont follow food and safety rules and wont even give you a manager to relay that their staff is doing this. i feel bad for the server because I know she cant control the chefs behavior. at the end of the day the review could have been avoided if he just cooked two new eggs the way I had ordered it. read more

I ordered a turkey club with crispy bacon and Parmesan aioli. It was excellent. The ambiance was spoiled by the attitude of the waitress Danielle who I suspected was the manager. All due to order of a coffee that didn't come the way I ordered. She refused to correct it, take it off my table or substitute something for it insisting I pay for it. $4.95. When I asked 3 times to speak with manager they never came. When I asked her about the manager the 4th time she said "they aren't here". I asked why she didn't say that the first time. When I said this isn't how I ordered my coffee she replied "i didn't hear you". She also said once your food comes that's what you get, no substitution or take back. That was their policy. So my food was good but if errors can't be corrected, it's not for me. read more

Came here for brunch on a Sunday and got seated immediately. It seems like a pretty popular local place and I can see why. The sever and hostess were super friendly, kind and attentive. Everything we ordered was scrumptious! I even found the pork roll with the caramelized onions in the Boardwalk tasty. I'm biased for amazing corned beef and they delivered that in the 6 Hour Hash again! This is the second time I've ordered this dish. Créame brûlé was a perfect dessert for me to end our meal. We spent ~$45 and we were happy to spend it Service: 5 Out of 5 Jean-Marie was our server and she was fantastic! Environment: 5 out of 5 Thank God for outdoor seating. The best breakfast spot in town! Everyone we go there is a line of people waiting to eat! We have not had a bad meal here at all! The Down South is my favorite so far! The biscuits and gravy are to die for, as are the hash browns. The hash browns are so well marinated and the pepper and onions go a long way. The egg tacos were also delicious! I've been to Tank & Libby's a few times in the past year. All have been very good experiences. Great service. I like the convenience of paying from a handheld device they use. I've had the biscuits and gravy and The Jersey twice. Both very good with leftovers to take each time. The potato hash is the best I've ever had. I'd honestly eat a plate of that with a few sunny side eggs on top. I recently got the classic coffee cake to-go. The crumb topping is perfect. My own criticism is the cake portion was very dense and super bland. I was really disappointed with it. They also had blueberry and chocolate chip options. I would consider trying them. read more

Heard of this place and wanted to try it for a while, and finally got there today. It was bustling, but turned over pretty quickly, so we didn't have to wait. Our server was friendly and funny, and was honest when I asked about an item on the specials menu. My husband got the bacon chicken ranch omelette special and devoured it all. I did the same with my huevos rancheros - excellent, with eggs cooked perfectly. We used their house made hot sauce - absolutely amazing with the spices and perfect amount of kick! They sell it by the bottle, but we forgot to get one on the way out. Everyone was friendly, from the hostesses to the busboys, greeting us and thanking us for coming. Wonderful place for brunch or breakfast food. They get very busy very quickly but the food is well worth it. I got the breakfast tacos the first time, which was hearty and delicious. I got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict ("smoky bennie") the second time and that was delicious too. The salmon came over potato hash and was done just right. My other half got the banana foster hotcakes, which was enormous. I think the waitstaff gets slightly stressed, as I'm sure they do everywhere, but we happened to be sitting at the counter so we heard some the tension between them, which I might rather not have heard. Possibly because they were so busy, no one really checked on us - I would have benefited from an extra napkin- but that didn't detract from the food and we'll still definitely come again if we're in the neighborhood. read more

Went here for the first time after hearing great things from people in my community. 5 stars! Parking was easy and there is a shopping center parking lot. They have outdoor covered dining (no walls). The hostess greeted us and seated us to our preference quickly. Note: they close at 2pm and stop seating at 1:40pm. Our waitress was friendly and our food came out quickly. I had the challah french toast with apple compote. Looked amazing, tasted delicious, and I brought half of it home. Nice wide, spacious doorway and waiting area. You are greeted by a friendly lady who offers the counter before table seats. Since I wanted a table I was informed of the wait time and directed to the host. This teen was not as friendly, not mean or nasty just being clear ' I go to high school and this is just my weekend job'! Or maybe just shy but it's customer service and I shouldn't have to guess. The decor is open, fresh and clean. While dining the crew was constantly cleaning. My server was prompt, engaging and informative. We made the decision I would prefer Creme Brûlée' French Toast over Dutch Baby a soufflé Pancake. I'm glad I made that choice the presentation, quantity and flavor was everything! I've been looking forward to visiting since we moved here last year because of great reviews here and elsewhere. Hoping our experience was an exception but it was awful. There was some sort of water in the bottom of our skillet that made the hash a mushy mess. We weren't asked how we wanted our eggs - I guess scrambled is the only option? Bananas Foster pancakes were fluffy but far too sweet. Place felt dirty - messy uniforms, rugs, booster seats, floors. Something smelled like mildew. Hostess stand was gossipy and unwelcoming. Our waitress was a shiny ray of light so that was the only real good news. Place was packed, though, so maybe our experience was atypical. I sure hope so. read more

The only thing is the waitresses look like they were on scared straight and seem flustered because it was busy idk. This is a very good wake up with someone you like and go have breakfast cheesesteak. I got the Cheesesteak "wit." It came with very good french fries. This cheesesteak was very good but needed a little more brotherly love. The melted onions melted in your mouth. Unfortunately they were clumped on the bottom of my cheesesteak.
