This was such a pleasant surprise to come in for brunch and walk away, amazed!! per usual, I like to ask what their signature dishes are or their most popular items so that I can give the menu its best critique... this morning. I was so happy with my menu selections. I tried their Honey Butter pancake. One pancake is enough for three breakfasts!! this was just an incredible dish. One I've never tried before, one I've never seen before, but one I am sure to order again. The burgers are the best ever and the breading was incredible. They have an extensive drink menu, and they are BYOB! They also have a large menu of eggs Benedict in different variations, which was really impressive! 5 stars all the way around. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, spacious and enjoyable as well. Our wait staff was excellent, friendly and gave us great insight to the menu with recommendations.

Huge pancakes that actually tastes great, not just some gimmicky menu item. I barely got through 1 of 2 cakes, have since reheated and ate it. Still good. French toast also delicious. Really enjoyed the potato hash, would've loved if they were crispy but the flavor makes up for it. Would definitely return to try the savory options. Planned ahead and made reservations, at time of booking it was wide open with options so definitely do it. Came around 9:30 and was seated right away. It quickly filled up soon after. Lots of seating though, including outdoors. Despite how busy they were, waiter took good care of us.

I ate outside at Tank and Libby's and loved the nice outdoor seating they had. Our waitress was so kind and helpful we were the only people eating outside and she still checked on us regularly. I ordered the eggs Benedict and a lavender latte. Everything tasted so amazing the eggs were perfect the hollandaise sauce was so good. Overall I would recommend Tank Libby's such a nice restaurant with kind staff and good quality food.

This place is really charming. The service is super friendly and the food is phenomenal! Delicious and large portions. The Bacon Bee is my favorite sandwich! Also the coffee is good.

I ordered via Doordash. I ordered the chicken and waffles, hash browns and a pint pineapple punch. The food was not warm but edible. The punch didn't make it and I was definitely looking forward to trying that. Not sure if it was door dash or the restaurant that was the problem so I would likely be willing to try again if I picked it up or ate there.

Hardly any wait time to sit down, great drinks, and amazing breakfast food! Love it here with my family, we always have good breakfast when we come here. Local, clean, fresh food and great customer service.

I have been here several times when I was living in the neighborhood, and the most recent trip back to PA after a move was such a good idea because the breakfast I had with my son was a highlight of our time together. Major kudos to the atmosphere and the deliciousness of the food. I had an iced tiramisu latte and it not only tasted of tiramisu, it was cold and refreshing. I went for the quiche Lorraine, which was delicate and savory. Definitely hit the spot and the crust was top notch, not too heavy. I had home fries for me side that were so flavorful I can safely say I've never had potatoes for breakfast that were so well prepared that they could have been a main dish! My son had the philly cheesesteak egg sandwich on a long roll special and it was so good, I would even order it over local Philly staple cheesesteaks if I could. He was super impressed and I hope they never stop making it. We decided to add some sweet to round out the morning feast with some bananas foster pancakes. Once again, the food was spectacular. All I can say, is this is one of those places that makes me miss moving out of the state. ::shakes fist:: How dare you!

Making American breakfast great again. Must go eat at this place. Nice people and great service

Well I finally got to see what the fuss was about. We both got eggs and split a French toast. Eggs were scrambled with plenty of melted American cheese in them. Artisan toast was a nice touch. Wife enjoyed hers over easy. Neither of us was a fan of the home fries. Not a deal breaker for either of us. The brioche French toast was excellent. Some crispy borders with soft airy inside and cooked perfectly and paired well with excellent syrup. Our server was very nice and friendly and efficient. Will repeat

Ask the Community - Tank and Libby's

Does Tank & Libby's still offer covered outdoor seating? The heated tent went away for winter 2022/2023, but did the owners bring it back for summer 2023?

I'm here on 8/27/23 and there is no outdoor seating.

I noticed that the omelets are already seasoned. Would it be OK to ask for no seasoning on the eggs? I don't want to cause a problem. Thank you!

Yes absolutely, not a problem at all, along with the other menu items, they are made fresh to order!

Do they offer a brunch menu?

Very extensive menu ... don't miss out!!! SO damn good at Tank & Libby's!

And, the plates remained once we hurriedly ate the food the "airline" pushed in front of us. The soups were delicious with the French Dip layered with thinly sliced beef (It was called a French Dip after all.) soaking in a rich onion influced broth accompanied by a soaked brioche crouton covered in melty provolone. The Butternut Squash Bisque flavored with asiago was definitely a winner too but before our soup course was 1/2 finished and with our Mediterranean Platter's tabouleh still showing its colors and enough hummus to later lead our waitress to ask if we wanted more pita ... the first entree was added to our crowded table. Not sure where the blame lies for the hurried appearance of plates but we were looking forward to a special evening out ... a birthday dinner choice ... a restaurant specializing in small plate dining should be well accustomed to serving diners in a relaxed manner. Upon their arrival I looked at the Schnitzel Medallions but wanted to enjoy the French Dip soup ... I knew the temperature of the food would be decreasing but the soup was so good. Why in the world would the first plate be served while we were enjoying our soup literally with soup spoons in or hands ... no, I did not hear that our flight was boarding ... we were in no rush but we were being rushed. So, now on the small table were our two soup bowls that we were finishing ... the plate still holding quite a bit of our Mediterranean Platter (We did expect to have some small talk after all it was a birthday celebration so we had leisurely started eating this appetizer.), we had the plates that we were expected to eat off of (Mine still had hummus and tabouleh on it.) and this brand new plate with pork tenderloin and asparagus. Maneuvering food became a needed skill. My dining partner put some schnitzel onto her "eating" plate letting soup cool ... I decided hot soup was more important than hot or even warmish pork so I continued to eat my soup but rushing soup made it less enjoyable. So, I finished my soup squeezing the empty bowl into a limited space on the table ... my "eating plate" was crowded still having hummus on it because I rushed my soup .. my dining partner said "yum the Schnitzel is good" while her soup chilled. I took the serving plate with the remaining Schnitzel and asparagus eating off it since it was the only plate with room. Before I took a bite the sliders arrived further crowding the table. Quickly the Butternut Squash Bisque was finished so that she could eat a hot well maybe warm Crispy Fish Slider ... I was still working on the Schnitzel knowing I was going to eat cold fish. And, as we both kept putting food in our mouths foregoing any conversation the Chicken Primavera arrived and looked picture perfect amidst the crowded table but finally the soup bowls were removed ... there's still hummus and tabloeh from that Mediterranean Platter that we didn't have time to finish and the waitress asks if we would like more pita ... sure ... I had just finished the cold slider and was about to try the chicken primavera. She also then noticed my water glass was almost empty and asked if I wanted a refill ...I did but had been so busy shoving food down my mouth that I just barely noticed I needed water (I actually knew I did but no one ever stopped by to ask.). And, just in case you're wondering... our flight still was not close to taking off from the terminal in this lovely lounge (It really is an attractive restaurant to dine in.) that reminded us of a classic airport lounge but it felt like a hallway fast food eatery. We had come to enjoy a leisurely small plate dinner with good conversation...celebrating a birthday before heading off to the theatre. You might be wondering why there are three stars rather than one. Well, the food was all really tasty. I would say it was delicious even though due to the rush the only food I ate that was hot was my soup. We finally did get back to that Mediterranean Platter and yes, we were given more pita and I wasn't rushed eating it because there was nothing left to be served. Oh, it looks like they have some nice outside seating for warmer days. We skipped the mixed drinks ... they looked really good and other folks seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The dirty martini was described as "filthy" which was actually very funny, but not exactly what she was looking for. The other cocktails were fine and the food was mostly very good. The main weak spot food-wise: shoestring french fries served with the burger were ice cold. Otherwise everybody enjoyed their meals. One bonus of this place is that they serve a lot of gluten-free options and have a very diverse menu.

The upstairs area has a chill vibe with some Mario-themed art as well as a TV. It seems that the kitchen is upstairs, so a lot of waiters were flying by out table to the staircase. Our waiter was pretty chill. Apparently an O's fan, he was excited to learn we're from Baltimore. Food was all fantastic. The style of fries isn't my preference, but they were decent. Other than that, I was blown away. Child #1 and Child #2 got some items from the Kids' menu - grilled cheese and cheeseburger. Bread and Butter appetizer. Is it expensive for just being bread and butter? Yes. Is it worth it? Also yes. The homemade bread is great, but combine it with honey butter with flaky salt, and it's incredible. Loads of reviews on Yelp talked about the sausage roll. GET IT. It's greasy and filling in all the right ways. Goes great with a beer. My wife got the burger and she found it to be very tasty. I got the Grilled Maitake Mushrooms dish and holy cow; it's perfect. Even if you're not a vegetarian (I'm not), you can appreciate this dish: crispy rice cake (not the dry kind from the store), tender baby bok choy, and of course the well-cooked mushrooms are tied together with black vinegar, garlic-whipped tofu (!), and a peanut sauce. A++ would absolutely get again. The food menu has some staples, but overall it does change nightly, so make sure you check it out before you come. Apparently, on Sundays, they do a different experimental flavor of wings. I was curious, but my stomach has only so much room, so I had to draw the line. There is a respectable drink menu. My wife got the blood orange mezcalita, which she liked, but thought the smoke flavor was more subtle than described. I got the Plum Fizz and would totally get it again. Pleasantly-sour with a nice fizz. It's a nice pub in a nice neighborhood of a major city - be prepared for prices to match. But it is absolutely worth it.
