This place was the best, as the taste wise in it is category, I have ever been. (I have been many Brazilian steak houses in Houston, PA, NY). It mixes Mediterranian grill flavours with Brazilian steak house format. Place it self great for formal and casual dining. Inside Cozi. Servers were really polite and friendly. It was clean. Salad bar was mostly Mediterranean salads, ( humble recommendation add some western salads and sides too). Meat was perfect. It was juicy, has Mediterranean flavours but it is not intense as in Arabic or Indian restaurants, it was arranged perfect so I could taste meat. This place is essentially the Mediterranean version of a Brazilian steak house for a fraction of the price. This is definitely one of my favorite, and most unique restaurant experiences in Memphis. The dinner buffet inclusive of all the meats ended up being approximately $40 a person after tax and gratuity. I think the salad bar on its own was worth that much. The salad bar offers traditional salad choices, but also a variety of cold and warm dishes like potatoes, rice, hummus and pita, lox, imitation crab salad, mushrooms, and more. I honestly couldn't remember all of the meats that were served, but I know they all tasted great. The two outstanding ones were the rare steak and also the skewered chicken. I've actually never reviewed a restaurant before but I just had to. For $43 a person, I can get a much nicer meal at pretty much any establishment in town, cooked to my preference even. The meat was SALTY and every meat tasted the same. My husband and I were beyond full after maybe 20 minutes because our stomachs were so bloated from the salt. This place was super good! We came for a late dinner for my mom's birthday on a weekday & there was next to no one there. Apparently this place is packed on the weekends though. Where to start, the salad bar was delicious & had a seemingly endless assortment of different salads, pasta, & more. They keep bringing you skewers of different meats until you tell them to stop. Rib-eye, sirloin, lamb, chicken, you name it. It was delicious, however, I personally thought the meat at Texas de Brazil was overall tastier & more tender than at Tannoor Grill. That being said, this place is slightly cheaper than Texas de Brazil & still super high quality. It's also a lot shorter of a commute for those of us in the Cordova/Germantown area. For dessert, they sliced us grilled pineapple with cinnamon & I'm pretty sure it's one of the best things I've ever tasted. It was SO good. Definitely a must have if you choose to dine here. I know I've been missing out all these years but I finally made it here for lunch. I've got to say that I was impressed and I wasn't. I mean it's a cool concept and they did deliver on their promises. The salad bar was killer, but I found the croutons to be outdated and there was a lack of salad dressings. What was there was in squirt bottles. I did not like seeing grilled vegetables from previous millennia on the salad bar. Squash, onion, zucchini, and the like should come straight from the grill to the table. Oh and I almost forgot mushrooms. Vegetables are just as important as the meat. They shouldn't be cast aside and abandoned. As for the meat, the highlight of the meal, I found it to be perfect, but somehow I wasn't impressed with it. It could be that my taste buds were a bit off. I didn't pig out like I expected to. I satisfied my hunger and then stopped. I didn't quite know it yet, but in a couple hours I came down with a cold. Because of this, maybe my experience didn't quite go according to plan. I did not take advantage of the grilled pineapple, although normally I would have loved to. Honestly, my opinion of the meat was that it was nothing a backyard grill master couldn't do better. I did not care for the flavor of the meatball thing. I found the place to be cost prohibitive for a normal lunch outing. Although it might technically be worth the price, I'm not willing to spend that much on lunch very often. I noticed a couple minor neglects in maintenance. A door to the bathroom missing a door knob. A letter of the sign falling down. I kind of liked the simplicity of the menu with two choices, but there should also be the option of just buying one plate for a lunch special price. That would have better served me on this trip. They served lamb, chicken legs, chicken breast, sirloin, ribeye, and beef kabobs. All the selections were delicious but my favorites were the chicken legs with a nice char and the ribeye. To back track a bit, they started the meal with a fresh tomato, lettuce and cucumber salad, tabouli salad; followed by pita bread, hummus, baba ganoush and roasted potatoes. I can't believe I had driven past this place for years and never stopped by. We didn't have reservations but was able to get seated without an issue. The server came over and explained the different options to us and we decided to go for the all-meat option to include red meats. The salad bar was great and had various options to choose from. Once we got our salads, the meats started coming out back to back. Every single thing that we tried was great. The beef skewers and garlic steak were probably my favorites. This place is like a dream for anyone doing keto. My only complaint would be their tea. I ordered an unsweetened tea and the server gave me a heads up to let me know that it's a bit different than iced tea that we may be used to and that it was instead Mediterranean tea.
