Ok. Did a search for a restaurant close to our Hotel because we were coming in from St. Louis and were hungry and tired. Tannoor Grill came up. I read the reviews and figured were would give it a try! So glad we did. I got to say, we did think it was closed. Extremely dark. From the parking lot you could not see inside. It had blackout tint that worked really well because we left thinking they were closed. I told my husband something is not right because Yelp says open. We went back and tried the door. Yup it was open! I actually told the front end host they should have a neon light that says open on. Told him we almost gave up. He said they usually have it in but it was out. So if you pull up and you think it's closed, check the times. It's just the tint ! What a great place ! The staff was exceptional! Very friendly and accommodating! They asked how we liked our meat, and did not disappoint. We love rare meat. And it was perfect! The salad bar was also incredible. Loved the Turkish salad. A big fan of the stuffed grape leaves. The couscous, Babaganaush and hummus was excellent. Can't complain about anything! Even there own special ice tea was delish ! All this food, top meats for only 34.99 per person. I'm a real salt lover. I'm always reaching for it especially on red meat. I gotta say Daniel, the chef seasoned everything perfectly. The meat cut like butter. The flavor was on point. What can I possibly say about Tannoor Grill that hasn't already been said? I am not sure, but what I am sure of is that the lunch special here is absolutely amazing and worth the price. I am one of those people who absolutely fills up too much on the salad bar, but can you blame me? What a cornucopia of delights! The stuffed grape leaves, the hummus, the various salads and sides, the soup! Come on now. I don't just get the salad, of course, I get the chicken. I don't get the steak because, even though it smells so good and that sizzle as it drips when they slice off pieces is absolutely intoxicating, I just don't have the room. I definitely eat the (absolutely mouthwatering and perfectly spiced) chicken though, and the amazing beef kabob. I fit that in between my bites of my overstuffed plate of salad goodness. Before I go off track and rave about that salad bar again (and I want to, truly I do) let me mention that they come around constantly with the meat. Constantly. You will have zero complaints about not getting enough meat. And the sorrow on the faces when I must, reluctantly, decline another chicken leg because i have fried potatoes and sauteed mushrooms with the tannoor spicy sauce that must be eaten before we move on to the pineapple... An Explosion of Flavor My wife and I recently went with friends to the Cordova Tannoor Grill and had a wonderful meal with some new, incredible flavors. We had never been before, but the food was unique and delicious. First, the main attraction is their buffet with more choices than you can eat in one trip - (you have to make a return trip to the buffet). They have salads, veggies, dips, meats, you get the idea. Oh, the other part of the meal involves the meat served off the skewers right at your table. We opted for the chicken - you can include steak if you want; you can even get just the buffet with no meats. The way they do this is quite similar to Texas de Brazil, which is understandable because they are owned by the same people. Throughout your meal, you will have several servers (drinks, sliced meat off skewers, etc.). Oh, be sure to try their tea. We had the tea with Sage and Ginger. It was a great combination. Yet I digress - back to the food! They bring around several varieties of chicken (or steak) dishes during your meal, all of them are quite good, tasty, and juicy. By bringing the meat several times during your meal, you can get them served hot each time. When there are slices, you use the tongs to place it on your plate. Don't forget you can also go back to the buffet. Did I mention the dessert? No? Well, included in your buffet, is one or more servings of their hot Grilled Pineapple that has Cinnamon and Brown Sugar baked on. This is served they way they did the sliced meats, with the tongs. To sum it up, if you haven't been yet, you need to go. If you have been, go back - and take some friends with you. You will ALL be glad you did. read more

First off, this was the absolute worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I took my entire family here on a recommendation from some local friends who had been here prior to the "menu update". Upon being seated we were made aware there were no menus, and that the pricing had recently changed. The full experience is $43, chicken only $27, and salad bar only $21. For a mom and pop shopping center the pricing seemed expensive but having dined at various Rodizio style restaurants it was on par with what I've seen so I was intrigued. However, the food was nowhere near anything like I've seen at this suggested price point. We started at the tiny Salad bar and everyone at the table came back with basically empty plates. There was no salad, no bread, no potatoes, and a the mushrooms had about 5 or so left. My kids came back to the table disappointed with only crackers and corn. The remaining food was completely not our style unfortunately and we thought it best to go somewhere else. Before any meat arrived, I let the waitress know that we wouldn't be continuing our experience. I explained that free wasn't my intention and I was willing to pay for our brief inconvenience. We had been there for maybe 10 minutes, didn't touch the food, and I asked as decent person and business owner myself a genuine question on what she felt was fair on how little we consumed. Her response was that her manager would look at the cameras and see we got food of any amount and she would get in trouble. Her resolve was she would charge us for the Salad Bar only. After a few moments she came back with a total bill of $130.28. For the same salad bar that was empty and nowhere worth asking price to begin with. I asked to speak to the manager, there was none available. So, I paid the $130 bill. I should have walked out looking back, but I'm not a thief or a dishonest person and I fully had the intention of coming back to speak to the management that chargers $43 per person and doesn't have anyone on staff empowered enough to make the right call here. Paid, signed the pad, and as I tried to get my receipt the waitress snatched it out if my hand. I thought fine, maybe that's her copy and me spending $130 has somehow inconvenienced her, I'll digress. So I sat and waited 5 minutes for my copy. No one ever returned. We left. Update: I called the next day shortly after opening to see who the manager on duty would be so I could stop by and speak with them. To my disbelief, knowing I was speaking to the same waitress from the day prior, she says the manager on duty was Sheri, herself. Sheri is the same waitress who said the "manger" would look at the cameras and be upset she made the right call, and the same Sheri who snatched the receipt from my hand and never came back. Whoever owns or manages this place for real, please get me a receipt. Or better yet a refund... Fix it. Your establishment and staff were embarrassing. read more

I have been to this place twice thanks to my fellow yelpers. First, their selection is great. I love the all you can eat buffet. From salad to veggies to humus to potatoes, rice and so many more delicious items to choose from. Second, the selection of meat is pretty good too from chicken to meatballs and steak, yum! Third, the grilled pineapple at the end. That has to be the best part in my book, so so good!!! All in all, this place is fantastic, great customer service, great food and a great place to meet friends to dine. What more can you ask for. My boyfriend and I frequently dine at Texas de Brazil and were looking for a cheap alternative this time. The service gets 4 stars with friendly waitstaff. However, it was annoying when we tried placing an order for drinks in the middle of our meal. With only 2 other tables dining at the same time as us, it still took me over 15 minutes to get someone's attention. The food gets 1 star. Although the salad bar was extensive, a lot of the hot foods were cold and poorly seasoned. The meats were overcooked and too salty. We left the restaurant feeling really disappointed with our meal and saying we won't be back. Getting sick several hours after dinner confirmed we will never be going back. read more

Definitely did not expect to be as in love with this place as I am when I pulled up to the strip mall. Strip malls have really been surprisingly me lately...never thought I'd be saying that... Anyways, the lunch is phenomenal...I think it is $14 for basically all you can eat meat. It comes with hummus and a salad plus delightful grilled pineapple at the end. Where to start... The service is amazing and I do mean out this world. Weather it's lunch or dinner this is the place to be. The atmosphere is like eating on an exotic island. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food and service you receive . All you can eat meats with the all you can eat salad bar it's unbeatable. You can go casual or you can go business casual. It's a lovely place with amazing food and out of this world service . I can't stress it enough. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. You could bring friends , family, or date. I would however only bring kids if they are well behaved and open to any type of food. It started with a phone call. My favorite BBQ place was closed for vacation today at lunch, and for dinner i wanted to try this place. It's about 40 minites from the hotel. They answered, bonus, and the woman who answered was friendly and engaging, and actually seemed happy to be there...bonus bonus. as it turns out Kayla had answered the phone and was even better in person. Great server, with a great personality.. OMG....now on to the food. I don't even want to mention TejasdeBrazil and this place in the sentence, paragraph, page, or even book. While the meat is presented similar and might even have similar flavor, nothing else is the same. I love Mediterranean food, but seldom find it made well. Many places have a signature dish. Not this place....it has a signature salad bar. Everything looks fresh and delicious, but it tastes even better than it looks. Pictures don't do it justice. The seasonings are perfect.....nothing is overpowering. I even ate 3 dolmas. Usually I'm good for about 1/4 of one. I keep searching for a dolma I like.....my search is over. Yumyumyum. So, let's get to the meat of the review..... literally and figuratively..... sorloin, ribeye, lamb...... all excellent. I hate traditional fancy pants places on Valentine's Day, aka amateur night, so we went here. On the busiest dining out night of the year only half the tables were full at a time, and that is apparently by design so don't get scared if you go on a normal night and its not a full house. Upon arrival we were seated and our drink orders were taken. Our server was quick to come introduce himself and then the food began: salad, tabuli, pita, hummus, baba ganush and potatoes - yum! Within no time the meat parade began: sirloin, ribeye, filet, lamb, kabob, chicken breast and chicken on the bone. Honestly, it would be impossible to label one my favorite as they are all good! Make sure you ask for the dipping sauces - there are three and its fun to experiment and see which sauce / meat combination you like the best. Because $30 can be a little pricey I asked about other options turn out there are several: 1. Just the appetizers 16 2. Chicken and lamb 20 3. Salmon and shrimp ( not all you can eat) 22 4. Lunch, which does not have ribeye, filet or lamb but does have a ground beef pita 14 All over the servers were friendly without being intrusive and when we slowed down on the meat they were sure to ask if there were any we were looking for. The flow of meat was good and it never got cold by the time we got it, a major plus. The interior is dimly lit and simply decorated. Sauces include hummus and ba ba ganoosh. You can ask for garlic dipping sauce, which we did. The food is very tasty. The potatoes are seasoned very well; their steaks (top sirloin and ribeye) were good, too. I enjoyed their lamb, and their beef and chicken are both delicious! For their desert, we had the grilled pineapple, which had hints of sweetness that made it unique and flavorful. The restaurant is authentically decorated, with low lighting to enhance the atmosphere. Middle-eastern music completed the backdrop. I have never been treated to this much meddle-eastern food since I was fed by locals in Iraq! read more

Dropped in on a Monday night as part of a yelp elite event. I had heard good things, but came in with low expectation as most "all you can eat meat" type concepts generally offer over-salted, over-cooked options. Texas de Brazil, I'm looking at you. We entered to find a nice dimly lit dining room with beautiful art adoring the walls, and a well kempt, welcoming staff dressed in black. We were politely ushered back to our table where we were promptly greeted for drink service. Once everyone was settled in, the parade of flavor began. Early rounds of baba ganoush, hummus, pita, etc were excellent and aesthetically pleasing. From there the dinner shifted into overdrive with waves of chicken breast & leg, lamb, sirloin, ribeye, meatball, etc. As we progressed I quickly realized they not only didn't try to mask the flavor of subpar meats with an overkill of sodium.... But they actually knew how to cook each meat to optimal done-ness. The ribeye and sirloin seemed to have been cooked in some sort of "zone" system so they could carve anything from medium rare to well done, based on your preference. Very impressive and a substantial upgrade over other churrasco-type establishments. Overall, I came away very impressed. Visited this restaurant due to reviews on Yelp. Esmay (sp?) was our waitress and she explained all our options, let us try the Mediterranean tea as a sample and it was delicious! Free refills!! Chef came and gAve our friend (who is allergic to pepper (makes MANY eateries not an option) all the dishes that she could and couldn't eat. She had plenty of options. Salad bar had many different types of salad including humus and tabouli. Fresh lox was on the salad bar. Yum!!! Meat options were fabulous and they accommodated rare and Med rare requests. This was my first time here and the waitress took the time to explain to me what dinner is like here. It's $31 for all you can eat 7 different kinds of meat and tons of sides, salads, dips, soup, veggies, and so much more. I was amazed by the delicious flavors and the freshness of the meat.
