Our tour guide recommended Tantarantana for lunch. He said that it was a local hangout. They offer indoor and patio dining. It was cooling off some so we decided to outside. We ordered several items. The mushroom risotto was the table favorite. It was cooked to perfection and had loads of delicious mushrooms in it. We also loved the burgers. They were juicy and the toppings were fresh. The burgers came with crispy potato straws that were addictive. They were lightly seasoned and not greasy.

Got a recommendation to go here from a local, and it didn't disappoint. Now, eating in Barcelona seems to be more of a group activity, because even the tapas are more of a sharing size, so eating alone seemed to be a bit of a challenge. Anyway, I got the patatas bravas here (best I've ever had), along with the andalucian calamari, which was very good but not really special. Wine was good as well as the prices. Atmosphere was nice and quiet, and perfectly placed in El Born.

Awesomely delicious. I found this place on Yelp on our way to the park after the Picasso visit. We ordered the spinach ravioli, spicy potatoes, chicken drumettes, and thr mini hamburger. We also wanted to try the Sangria. The sangria was sweet and refreshing. I definitely recommend. We loved each dish but we had to order another mini burger. It was that good! Service was good and food served fairly quickly although the burgers take longer to prepare. Recommend sitting outsude for the full experience!

This was a wonderful place to enjoy my first meal in Barcelona. We tried this restaurant based on the recommendation of someone that recently visited Barcelona and boy were they on point. The restaurant was a quaint place that was nicely decorated with colorful and art and statues. The staff was very courteous and gave great recommendations for food. To start the meal we had crispy bread with tomatoes, Calamari, and wings. The bread was delectable! The bread seemed like a fresh garlic bread with crushed tomatoes baked onto it. The calamari was fresh and the wings were pure heaven. The wings were great! The wings had a really good sauce which I can't even explain. The sauce was a toss between a honey garlic and curry. The wings were finger licking good. To end the meal I had the cod fish for an entree. The cod fish was delicious. The cod was light and fluffy and had the most amazing grilled vegetables I have ever tasted. The grilled vegetables were succulent, tender and flavorful. This place is a quaint place that you must try if in Barcelona. One things is certain, this place set the bar for the caliber of restaurants I expected to try while in Barcelona.

So we arrive to Barcelona and both my nephew and I were starving so he found this place on Yelp and the reviews looked favorable. We walked in and the guy seemed pleasant, but he seemed more interested in speaking to one of the staff members then attending us. We finally ordered the thai chicken, 2 roasted chicken croquettes, calamari and mussels in some coconut sauce. Chicken had taste but dry, croquettes were mushy and I did not like the taste. The calamari looked like and tasted as if fried earlier and the warmed. Not crispy and no taste. The mussels came last and were terrible as well no taste. Unfortunately it was just bad and we left hungry.

Incredible!!!! Great service, amazing food, and you can't beat dining alfresco! Staff was very friendly and attentive, wonderful wine selection, and beer for the hubby. Every dish was beautiful to look at and even better tasting. So glad we are staying close by. I want to eat here every day!

This should be on your must do list in Barcelona !! Just go and be a Barcelonian for a night. Eat, drink, talk, watch, listen - enjoy. The neighborhood place you will wish was near you. Excellent food, great friendly staff, wonderful location. Must do: try the Pescadito frito / fried fishes - delicious! Of course Jamon Iberico and the Pimientos One of those places that I will always come back to.

Tapas well done in Barcelona are here. Not fancy, not frilly, not expensive...just basic tapas as they should be. Yay!

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

This is the first restaurant I stopped at for some tapas during my trip to Barcelona and it spoiled…read moreme. I ordered a few things so let me talk about each one. Ham & Chicken Croquette: This was too good for how small it was. Just a nice potato croquette filled with some great quality ham and chicken. It was akin to a cordon bleu. White Asparagus with Baby Beans and Ham: This one floored me. Tender white asparagus in a vinegar based sauce with some tender ham and beans. I could have had two orders of this. Pulpo (Octopus) with Pork Belly: Not the best Pulpo of the trip but it sure set the standard. The octopus was unbelievably tender and you can just taste how fresh it is. The pork belly slice almost felt like an odd choice here to be honest. I didn't really know how to eat it with the pulpo since it overpowered it. The pork belly itself wasn't very impressive either so I kinda brushed it off at the end. It was a bit dry at some parts and just kept throwing me off. Gambas roja a la plancha: Prawns are EVERYWHERE here and they know how to cook them. These were tasty but not the freshest or most flavorful I had this trip either. Always eat the shell! Scallops a la plancha in a leek-apple based sauce with bits of crisped ham: This dish on its own makes this place a 5. The sauce is DIVINE. It's a little sweet and creamy to contrast the savory, perfectly cooked scallops swimming in it. The crunchy bits of ham give you a nice texture surprise with some much needed salt to balance it all out. These scallops practically melted in my mouth with each bite. This is a must try. Beef filet and foie gras montadito: Basically steak and foie gras on a toasty slice of bread. Honestly? This was the weakest dish here. The steak itself was just okay and I didn't really like the foie gras. It was like a very gamey butter. I'm sure it has its applications but it just felt like too much going on here. I'd pass on it. Chocolate in 3 textures: So for dessert I wanted chocolate so I went for the choco bomb. It was okay. I guess the three textures were the ganache, mousse, and wafers? It just reminded me of an elevated chocolate wafer bar like one from Loaker. I'd also pass on this dessert. My server was lovely and the atmosphere here is vibrant. Though there were few misses I would absolutely eat here again and get the things I loved but switch up the rest. That's part of the fun in tapas anyway.

Some meals stay with you forever, and this was one of them…read more The food here was, without question, some of the best I've ever had. The foie gras was absolutely unforgettable--rich, delicate, and simply to die for. The sangria was equally exceptional, fresh, balanced, and dangerously delicious. But what makes this place truly special is something that can't be captured on a menu. The atmosphere, the warmth, the way time seems to slow down... words simply can't do it justice. If you're visiting Barcelona, don't just come here for dinner. Come here to fall in love with the food, the city, the moment, or maybe even someone sitting across the table. An experience I'll never forget.

Well, the restaurant was cute and cozy with a great ambiance. With luck on our side, we found two seats at the bar and quickly ordered drinks. We ordered a pitcher of the sangria (because why not?). The sangria was delicious, refreshing, and made to order. It was definitely more authentic than what we're getting in America. We ordered the patatas bravas, tempura asparagus, the octopus, and the steak. It all came out as it became available. We couldn't decide what our favorite was, to be honest. We ordered an ice cream sandwich for dessert and quickly requested our bill. We didn't want to hold the staff up as we noticed they were cleaning the establishment and people were finishing up. Overall, what a great experience for our first meal in Barcelona! Cute and hidden gem.
