He made sure I was good and comfortable and told me what he was doing and my goodness he was right. After they numbed me up I legit felt no pain. I would only use him moving forward. CLINICAL: During a routine cleaning, I was told I had two issues: a cavity that wasn't bothering me, and an infected root I'd mistaken for jaw pain. A prior dentist at this office flagged the cavity at my last cleaning and said it was fine to monitor since it wasn't causing pain. Instead, Dr. Fang broke a perfectly good crown to check for decay underneath. A gross lack of experience. There was no cavity there. The crown never needed to be touched. BILLING: Instead of treating the more urgent root canal first while my insurance was still available, scheduler Henry booked the unnecessary crown work first, then the root canal "assessment" afterward. Dr. Tandon, who actually handles root canals, is only available Thursdays, and I wouldn't have a quote until then, so what was the rush on the crown, other than to force an unnecessary procedure? By the time they got to the real issue, my insurance was drained, and I was hit with a $1,600 out-of-pocket root canal quote. If I'd done things in the right order, I could have used my remaining benefits or waited for January's reset. Three days before my procedure, the bill jumped another $100, disclosed only by text. The crown estimate quietly dropped from $900 to $500 once they admitted their error, and they gave no real explanation. SERVICE: When I called to dispute the mismanagement, Henry said he'd "check the files." He called once the next morning at 9:26 am, hung up when I didn't answer right away, and never called back. The appointment was at 9:40 am, right at their 48-hour cancellation cutoff. In person, he acted confused and insisted I'd signed off on the order of procedures, but he set that order and never explained how it would affect my insurance or costs. He also appeared to be recording me and our conversation without telling me. RED FLAGS: While waiting for my own follow-up, I overheard a dental assistant give the exact same "we need to break your crown to check for a cavity" line to the patient next door, less a judgment call, more a pattern. I also noticed the dental assistant seemed more experienced than Dr. Fang, at one point guiding her hand during a scan. BOTTOM LINE: Mismanaged care, a crown that never needed touching, and a bill inflated by thousands. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Dr. Arora responded that same night and rearranged his Saturday schedule to accommodate me. The office was otherwise closed, but he was willing to come in and see me, a brand new patient he had never even met, because I needed help. That meant a lot, and immediately told me he genuinely cares about people, not just appointments on a schedule. Dr. Arora gave careful, clear, clinical explanations of what he was seeing, what was causing my pain, and exactly what needed to be done. He made sure I understood what was going to happen, why he takes the approach he does, and what to expect afterward. I ended up needing two root canals to fix the previous dentist's filling. While no one *enjoys* a root canal, it honestly wasn't nearly as bad as I feared. It did take time - which he told me upfront - because he doesn't rush. My previous dentist had emphasized how quickly he could get me in and out, so it was actually refreshing to be treated by someone who prioritizes doing it properly. What really stood out is that while Dr. Arora's practice absolutely has modern technology, he clearly relies on skill and judgment first. It felt like being treated by someone who truly understands dentistry, not someone just following what a machine tells them to do. The previous office had all the flashy, high-tech equipment imaginable, and I still ended up needing two root canals to repair their work.
