Came here for lunch, sat at the bar. Had short rib tacos, the food came out hot and was absolutely delish! Ashley at the bar was super attentive. Not sure what the one cry baby reviewer was talking about them not having good beers on tap and they'll be closed in 3 months. Let me know what 7-11 you go to pal that has those beers. Guess he's unaware that this is the 3rd location for Taproom, so yeah, I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing. Some people are just miz... Btw...the mussels are fantastic as are the burgers, had those a different visit. :) Do yourself a favor and go eat there! read more

I'm really upset by my experience I love love love taproom and especially the food but my experience today was terrible and I will never come back to this location. First there was one table with customers in the restaurant when my friend and I walked in. We sat outside with one other two top. As we were sat one waitress greeted us then another gave us menus and greeted us also. Then about 15 minutes goes by I see your two bartenders and two waitresses at the bar all talking so I wave to them from outside. The lady came took our order and came back with the wrong stuff when I gave her an attitude she decided to give me one and start cursing as she walked back inside so my friend and I left. Please fix this and do better. Thankfully we went to coastal and they were able to help us right away and our food came out within 10 minutes of us being sat while they had a full house. Do better. Called in an order for takeout they said it would be about 30/45 minutes seemed a little long for take out but it was football Sunday! I got an order of the boneless buffalo wings and the chicken avocado wrap. Wings were delicious and wrap was also very good. Parking here is kind of inconvenient because its on a main street and I really didn't love having to fight for a spot to grab an order to go. Recent meal ordered via door dash. But my wife and I have supported this restaurant three previous times. It's bar food. Expectations are reasonable. But this last meal was garbage up and down. Mac and cheese burger order medium. It came blue rare. Basically seared ground beef. Couldn't eat it at all. Also paid for mushrooms added. Maybe 3 quarter sized slices of mushrooms. Really? Chicken tenders with rings. Rings were solid. Well done. Paid for two specific sides. Neither came. They substituted ranch. I hate ranch. Hate more wasting extra money for sides that don't come. Finally, wife ordered a brownie sundae. It's brownie and ice cream. I e cream did not come. Bag was sealed and a receipt attached to bag showed my order as correct. $80 paid and 60 of it was not enjoyed. I asked for a refund via DoorDash and was denied. I was in Bay Shore waiting for friends arriving from Fire Island Ferry. They were delayed. So I looked on Yelp found a cluster of restaurants on Main St. near my location. I walked down street and decided to give the Tap Room a "try". I had the "blue burger"and a couple of local beers. The food and service was excellent. Wait Staff was very attentive and knew about every item on the menu. They let me try a sample of beers from a couple local breweries before I ordered. When I return to Bayshore area I will definitely visit this establishment again. read more

I am beyond disappointed with our food. I have eaten at the location in Massapequa and never been disappointed but today at this location in Bay Shore I am. Over $60 in food eight in the garbage. The sweet potato fries were burnt and soggy, the chipotle shrimp player was disgusting the shrimp were fishy tasting and hard, the burger was like a hockey puck and the cheese like plastic and the list goes on! Went to the Tap Room for lunch, place looks great and is very spacious compared to the Patchogue one. Lots of great choices on Tap and their happy hour starts at 3 compared to other restaurants and bars in bayshore that start at 4. They have great specials everyday throughout the week. The menu is awesome, lots of choices and varieties. I was very impressed with the food, tasted great and they were very generous with their portions unlike other restaurants in the area. The side salads are delicious and very presentable. Will definitely be back for food and fun in the near future! Definitely a great add to bayshore! read more

Beyond disappointed. Ordered a burger and fries, sweet potato fries, and funnel fries from Door Dash. Food from when it was ordered to at my door in under an hour. Only live about 5-7 minutes from the restaurant. Everything was ice cold and completely old and soggy. Fries were raw-potatoes inside and the funnel fries were falling apart they were so cold and soggy. It definitely wasn't the driver's fault either because the time it took for her to get the food when the app said it was ready and to my front door was barely 10 minutes. They SERVED the food this way. Absolutely deplorable. 2nd time everything has come soggy and ice cold in a row. This place used to be good and delivery has become so normal with Covid now that restaurantshave been serving better with delivery....but you can't be sending out crap like this, especially when they charge the money they do there. The only reason they got 2 stars was the burger was edible, but also ice cold. I worked in the food industry. I know when stuff has been made ahead of time and sitting under heat lamps...if it even makes it under the lamp, which our food definitely didn't. I'm only writing a bad review because I tried to call and say something to the restaurant before asking for a refund to see what happened and all I get is a busy signal. Have called over 13 times in the last hour trying to get through and couldn't get through once. They obviously took the phone off the hook. Not okay Tap Room. Food was like this last time, but I have them the benefit of the doubt. Can't pull this off twice in a row and not expect complaints up the wazoo. read more

How in the world can you call yourself "The Tap Room" and have all of these brewery signs everywhere when your "Tap list" (the double quotes are on purpose) reads like the beer list at 7-11. Complete joke of a beer lineup. I cannot even describe how pathetic it is. Their "local" is Blue Point". Thanks, I can get that at Chevron. I give this place maybe 3 months and you will be out of business. Seriously. TJ Finleys is next door, they don't call themselves "The Tap Room" yet they have 3x as many taps and their 10x as many choices when you take into account their cans and bottles (which this place does not have). I have no words. I would call this a tourist trap but there are no tourists in Bay Shore so no idea what they were thinking. Service was all over the place. This joint was 65% empty but it took almost 15 minutes to even speak with an employee after being seated. That said, once we FINALLY got a waitress she was awesome, attentive, friendly and 100% accurate. My friend and I only ordered mussels which were delicious and there was a ton. Saw some food others got and it looked great but let's go back to the premise of the place. THE TAP ROOM has a completely $**T beer selection. There are 5 other places ON THE SAME BLOCK with 2x to 10x the number of taps who actually put effort into the beer choices. Fairly certain this place runs up to Sunoco for their beers. Total bait and switch - not cool. Went to a place across the street which had 20 taps of actual craft beer. Calling this place "The Tap Room" is like owning a McDonalds franchise and calling it "The Burger Bistro". read more

Just went there for dinner tonight. Super crowded, but got a table right away! What a great place! I love the lively atmosphere. Fantastic music and tv screens everywhere, and no sound to them which is a welcome change. Servers are very attentive and constantly walking up and down to see if anyone needs anything. Mike, one of the owners is almost always there and hires the best help. Keeps things moving. If you haven't been, you have to try it. And the food comes fast, hot, delicious and the fries are crispy and seasoned to perfection read more

I'm not normally out in Bay Shore, but my friends and I were in town heading home and needed a nice relaxed bite. The Tap Room seemed like a nice spot and we were not disappointed. We were greated at the door and welcomed to the bar where Jenn greated us and we were instantly comfortable. Everyone wore masks and they respected the social distance needs. We split the gravy fries and they were delicious. Jenn was very attentive but not smothering in the least. We all had different main courses, all came out at a timely manor and well made. Jenn made sure that our food was made right and kept our drinks full. Overall it was a grest experience. We felt very comfortable and even during all this corona craziness we felt safe and at ease. Would easily recommend to anyone in the area for a full dinner or just easy quick stop. Two thumbs way up!! read more

Bouncers were sexually harassing my friends and I, waitresses WHO WERE WOMAN didn't even care, and the manager did not even try to accommodate to the problems my friends and I faced tonight. We had ordered food from here via Uber Eats a few times and enjoyed it each time so we decided to stop by yesterday for a late lunch, we were so glad we did. We opted to sit at the bar which was a great choice....plenty of room around us, definitely social distancing enforced and very clean....and the service was great. We started off with the Southern Tier "Pumpking" beer, would highly recommend it, especially with the cinnamon sugar rimmed glass! We ordered the "Tapchos" and the "Signature Sampler"....if youre thinking "Big deal, every pub has Mozzarella sticks, Mac and Cheese Balls, Jalapeno Poppers, Nachos etc you would normally be right, but in the case of the Tap Room, VERY WRONG....they take all of those up several notches to a whole new level like you have never had before. All freshly made with the best ingredients and delicious. Its like those appys you know, but much better, way tastier and on steroids because they are HUGE! Fantastic food and great selection of local beer on tap. We stopped in for lunch, and left stuffed and satisfied. The menu is quite large... lots of fun, unique bar foods... apps, sliders, burgers, tacos, salads, and a variety of sandwiches. We started with the sampler and nachos. We were all happy to see fresh jalapeños and a homemade barbecue sauce on the nachos. The broccoli balls and jalapeño poppers in the sampler were my favorites- they were lightly fried and again, full of fresh ingredients. My daughter said the Mac and cheese balls were the best thing she had ever tasted. For lunch, on in our group had the duck sliders with Cajun fries and they did not disappoint. One of us had the strawberry fields salad and it looked like something from a magazine, lots of fresh leafy greens and beautiful fresh strawberries. She assured us it tasted as good as it looked. Another had the grilled cheese with short ribs and loved them. I chose the buffalo chicken tacos and they, too were delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and unassuming, the prices were reasonable, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend stopping by. read more
