Tap That Ash is the latest of places located in the Shoppes of Wilton Manor, locally better known as Alibi Plaza. As the name would indicate, it's a cigar-smoking-friendly place. I'm a reformed nonsmoker, but was curious and stopped in. Though it reeks of cigar smoke, it's a very nice place, with a pleasant atmosphere, and a decent décor. They have a full bar and, of course, cigars. I merely sat back, relaxed for a while having a good Bacardi on the rocks drink. The bartender was friendly as were the other patrons. Not being a cigar smoker and not liking the stench, I won't be back unless I start smoking again, which I won't. But if you're into smoking cigars, it's an OK place.

A great addition to Wilton Drive! I arrived around 6:30 PM this evening and was immediately greeted with a big hello and a beautiful smile from Diane! She asked me what I wanted to drink, and decided on a beer. It's a great space, with a comfortable, intimate feel. There's also a bar one can choose to sit at. When I ordered my second beer, Perry, the bartender was attentive and pleasant...only to find out he was Diane's son! Their hospitality, warmth and smiles were refreshing. I went in as a first time customer and left feeling like part of the family! As the night progressed, I was informed they were doing a poker night tonight. I decided to play and was escorted to another room that had a nice poker table that sat 10/11 people. We played three timed tournament games, prizes were given away, one of which I won! ($15 bar tab), and each game was compromised of different people. It was a fun time! Two gentlemen sat in on the last game, and they turned out to be Diane's husband and her other son. They have a great selection of cocktails, wines and cigars, with available outside seating. Stop by, do something different and have a bottle of wine with a nice cigar!

The lighting is dim and the sofas are beautiful. There is a red piano on the other side that just looks so regal. We sat at the bar and were quickly taken care of. They have a great variety of cocktails to choose from and some bites as well if you're feeling hungry. I went with the red eye espresso martini and it was amazing. It tasted like chocolate! The combo of Licor 43 and espresso is delish! Highly recommend. It was a Sunday night so there wasn't too many people, but the bartender did tell us they play live music on Fridays and Saturdays and that is when there is a bigger crowd. We will be going back soon!

Gigi was super helpful in giving us insight on customer favorites! We tried the caesar salad (you have to cut it yourself but don't worry it's SO GOOD), truffle fries, spare rib tips, ropa vieja poutine, and ropa vieja (entree). While everything was incredibly tasteful, the ropa vieja poutine was by far my favorite. They also have so many signature cocktails to choose from, and on Thursdays, they offer a ladies night special with $8 mini select martinis. We will definitely be visiting Twice Removed next time we are back in Fort Lauderdale.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

There are even CBD "shots" available. I was in need of the opposite of these calm-down beverages, and ordered a cold-brew coffee (the bartender got a laugh out of that). My local client took me by this place, and raved about the kava-related options. Neither of us is into hookah, but the other customers raved about that. 5-star service: aside from the funny personable staffer, the patrons were also sweet-natured regulars. They all seemed to know one another well, and welcomed us like old pals. The legal natural sedative qualities of many of their beverages meant a lot of the conversation was about flying cars and reincarnation LOL. 5-star ambience: Outside it's a little bit forlorn strip mall, a little bit dive bar. Inside, the funky hipster aspect more than makes up for the exterior. There's sort of a beat-up Polynesian bar theme, complete with Ikea paper lanterns. Parking is available right out front and on the back side of the block as well.

Squeezed into a former credit union spot, it's almost hidden in a corner of the shopping strip, between Alibi and Hunters, two of the largest gay bars in the city. It's almost like a speakeasy...as of now there is no lit outdoor sign like the strip's other places. No Manors opens up into a surprisingly large space upon walking through the entryway. The very trendy lighting, multiple bar spaces, DJs and large curved seating gives off a cool nightclub vibe. Behind and above the seating can be used for live performances. On opening night male strippers danced, and various circus style acts performed. The DJ music was loud which made it hard for conversation, but not ear-shattering loud. The security and bar staff were friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my time there. It remains to be seen if they can fill this large bar and lounge every weekend.
