Gigi was super helpful in giving us insight on customer favorites! We tried the caesar salad (you have to cut it yourself but don't worry it's SO GOOD), truffle fries, spare rib tips, ropa vieja poutine, and ropa vieja (entree). While everything was incredibly tasteful, the ropa vieja poutine was by far my favorite. They also have so many signature cocktails to choose from, and on Thursdays, they offer a ladies night special with $8 mini select martinis. Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. Stopped by Twice Removed for drinks and dessert, and I really enjoyed my time here. This is one of a few bars that offer happy hour every day from 4-6 PM. My significant other and I each had two drinks and shared a dessert, and our bill came to about $55. The bartenders were friendly and made some really good drinks. If you're looking for something tropical, I highly recommend the Sun haven. The atmosphere is welcoming, and they played some really good music. Went to Twice Removed after a concert nearby in Wilton Manors and had a mixed experience overall. I really wanted to love the place because the atmosphere is great -- very comfortable, relaxed, and in a fun area to spend the evening. The bar and restaurant itself has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the tuna appetizer, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. To their credit, the staff handled it very professionally and took it back without any issue, which I appreciated. The rest of the table had a much better experience with their meals. The steak and salads especially got good reviews from everyone and looked very well prepared. Even though my dish missed the mark, the service and atmosphere were solid enough that I'd still consider giving eTwic another try in the future. Sometimes one item just doesn't hit, and there were definitely enough positives about the restaurant to make me curious to come back and try something different next time. We started with the sticky ribs appetizer... the BEST it already had us planning a return trip just for the wings (my boyfriend swears they're the best he's ever had). For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. The food is fantastic: I never really thought of traditional poutine (basically fries with cheese curds and gravy over it) as my kinda thing, but curry chicken poutine was amazing...count me as converted, French Canadian folks! From the front door to the table and even leaving the place, the staff was jovial and helpful. Our server Nadine was helpful with explanations, very friendly and funny. The food was very good. The portions are small but it was quick and good. I loved the grilled wedge salad with the onions and balsalmic vinegar glaze. The flavors just worked well. The beyond meat sliders with grilled zucchini were an interesting delightful mix. The onion sliders-perfection and the cauliflower "wings" were incredible with the beer batter coating. I found Twice Removed on Yelp and my friends and I decided to give it a try on a Friday night. This small little place was really a great find. On the smaller side with limited sitting but we were able to get a table since they were not very busy. I do think that if it becomes popular it might be an issue with the sitting part. To start I ordered the Brasilia drink (Tequila, Cachaça, Chambord, Watermelon, Peach and Lime). i was very happy about my choice and the combination of all things made it really good and not sweet (which I like). My friend got the Pink Panther and was thrilled with her choice (Tequila, Cassis, Agave, Lime, Plum bitter, Habanero sugar). We ordered the Callaloo and Spinach Dip for the table (Baby spinach, Garlic, Dijon, Bechamel, Parmesan). It was extremely cheese, I think the amount of bechamel also was very overpowering and it could definitely use more spinach. I wasn't really thrilled about it. As my main entree I chose the Hot Honey Poutine (Sidewinder, Red hot and honey, garlic aioli and parmesan). Its not a huge portion but it was enough for me. I thought it was very delicious and love the concept of having fries and chicken all together with that spicy and delicious sauce. The service was good for the most part. The mixed drinks are amazing and the bartenders tend to help you narrow down your selection. The service was friendly and had an all hands on deck vibe. Our server offered a special drink we suggested to be added to the menu! We had the gluten free banh mi poutine with yucca fries (delicious), and the ropa vieja poutine was so fabulous it was demolished quickly. Helpers love this place and we wanted to know why so we headed to Twice Removed for Happy Hour on a steaming hot South FL Wednesday afternoon. We immediately appreciated the cool dark vibe, and the super friendly staff. We ordered 3 items off the happy hour menu and drinks. My cocktail was a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Sounds weird but was delicious. We also had bourbon nuts, ropa Vieja poutine and truffle fries. Everything was great but the warm sticky bourbon nuts were perfect for ice cream, which they had on the regular menu so we finished the visit with vanilla ice cream on warm sticky roasted nuts with a Carmel drizzle.
