We have been here several times pre and post COVID. The food is very tasty, and we have tried a number of items, mostly appetizers, pizzas and small plates. The Bang Bang Shrimp is an absolute favorite. The Fig and Pig pizza was delicious, but not a whole family favorite. The combination of blue cheese and bbq pork was not something my boys loved. I thought it was good, but you really need to be ready for it. The Spicy Meatball pizza was a big hit with everyone! The selection of beers on tap is always interesting and we have found some really great ones. I had hesitated to write a review pre-covid, because although we went more than once and did enjoy the food we were served, our service experience was sub-par, and we only went back out of convenience and once a friend who was playing music. Our experiences (yes more than one) post-covid have been much better and we have been satisfied that they are doing everything possible to stay safe! read more

We visited Taphouse on the way back from a hike. We decided to sit at the bar and it was surprising there wasn't a whole lot of people for a Saturday afternoon. We started out with the Calamari and it was just ok. We thought they might give us sauce with it but it was pretty dry and a little rubbery. What impressed us more were our entrees. I ordered the vegetable ramen and my boyfriend got the pork tacos. His pork tacos reminded me of true Spanish tacos as the meat was tender and juicy. My vegetable ramen was the perfect amount of savory. It was plenty of food and was packed with veggies (which I love cause sometimes there arent as many veggies in an entree as it sounds). The bartender didn't really come by much even though we were one of the few parties at the bar, but she did let my boyfriend try different beers (we couldn't decide-there was 250+ beers) Overall we had a decent experience and we'll probably come back again if we're up that way. I'm a frequent diner here. The service is absolutely fantastic. The girls at the front desk are always warm and welcoming, especially the one with the dark hair. The food is also great. The ambiance is also great.. HOWEVER. I absolutely CAN'T STAND the fact that somebody is just vacuuming inside the restaurant during dinner hours? Frankly it's extremely rude and unprofessional. The person doesn't look like an employee, it is an older man. This has happened 3 times while I've been here... it was embarrassing to me when I had suggested this place to friends, and we're practically screaming trying to hear each other. Stopped by for lunch, pick up of course thanks to the covid. The process was easy and safe. Staff wore mask and brought food out to the car. There was a very sweet note thanking is for local business support with an even sweeter surprise inside. Complimentary broccoli soup and two cookies included with our purchase! The rib cheese sandwich was delicious! Fries crunchy! Soup was creamy and the cookies were perfect dessert. Very happy with the lunch. Bit on the pricier side, but was worth it. read more

When every other restaurant these days is cutting portions and over charging, Tap 15 is keeping it real. We were a party of 4 and we enjoyed everything we had. Portion sizes were good and in line with its pricing. My kids were very excited to see their ice cream portion. They actually had a nice size bowl at a reasonable price. Same for the portion of my husband's cake and a nice large mug of coffee. We were also happy to see a restaurant who is not charging you extra for using a credit card. I have to say I'm frustrated. Taphoue15 is in regular rotation in my family take out options. My mother has health issues and we can't go out, so we bring food to her. generally Taphouse has very good food. Our complaint is primarily quality control. Often the miss little things in take out. this weekend we placed a large order (5 people, salads, apps). simple mods (one well done salmon, swap dressing). Specifically I ordered two sides of Blue Cheese for my salad. instead I get ranch (which I detest). this has happened a number of times in the past as well, and it is frustrating when your appetizer (grilled chicken salad) has no dressing. on top of that the dessert pizza was blackened on one side. I don't mind crispy, but this left a bitter taste. Our previous trip - i had the fish tacos (one of their best options). however one had no aioli and the other two had very little. the slaw also had no crunch and seemed old, soggy, and did not have the normal taste. over the summer, twice we were missing entrees and a side of onion rings and didn't realize until we returned home. again, the food is very good. consistency and accuracy is often the downfall of the takeout experience. The main problem with this restaurant is that the kitchen doesn't follow the notes from the service staff. They send out orders like a production line and disregard notes on the order. The ambiance was great.. had all the feels.. lots of beers selections.. the food was great we had the truffle mushroom pizza which was so tasty, a total hit from the pizza oven (mind you we love bk pizza so lots to compare too. I came here once back in early 2020 and had a good experience, but unfortunately I can't say my experience was a good one in March 2021. Our server (won't say her name, management you can message me if you want to know) was completely dismissive and uneducated on the menu. We had the menu on our phones, I asked her where the cocktail menu was because I only saw the wine and beer list. She guided me to the wine and beer list and was reading the red wines to me, when I reiterated that I was looking for cocktails she told me they don't have any, but they have every liquor you could want. No actual cocktail menu?? Extremely odd and disappointing. We started with an order of guac, it tasted just like store bought. I ordered a Margherita Pizza and added pesto (or so I thought, when she brought it out without pesto and said nothing, I told her they forgot the pesto and she said "Oh we don't have pesto.") Just had to laugh at that point. The pizza was fine, didn't taste very fresh but nothing too bad. Others in my party got tacos with ground beef and burgers and they said the food was decent, nothing to write home about. Also, my mom asked if the fries were coated in anything because she has a gluten allergy, she just said "I don't know, sorry!" No attempt to go find out. Things have gone very downhill since my 2020 visit. Bottom line- I can't recommend Taphouse 15. No cocktail menu is no fun, the uneducated, uninterested service is a big turn off, and the food wasn't anything special. I don't see myself returning for a third visit. read more

When I say I love this place...I MEAN IT!! My boyfriend and I keep our boat down at Lake Hopatcong and every time we grab dinner it's always at the lake - but yesterday everything closed around 10 so we decided to try Taphouse since it's on the way home and they were still seating (they closed around 10:30 and we got there 10 on the dot and they still served us which was lovely - we called to make sure it was fine and they were more than happy to serve us) We sat down ordered apps and drinks (literally took 5 min for apps to come out) and got our meal and we were out of there by 10:45. The service was incredible- everyone was very welcoming with upbeat energy. AND!!! THEY HAVE VEGAN OPTIONS! The portions are pretty huge btw! Plenty of space to park Oooo!!! Bar chairs were VERY comfortable & the menu has lots of great choices - sandwiches, taco's wings, thin-crust pizza, etc. We tried the bang bang wings & a thin-crust margarita pizza along w/drinks. The pizza was really good - fresh mozzarella on it & it came the way I asked for it - crispy! Monday HH the pizza is 1/2 off - what a bargain! Pizza's were flying through there along with other tasty sandwiches that I saw people getting. The wings were good but they were missing the zing that we were expecting - I'd order them buffalo style next time. They could use some help at the bar - the poor guy had a great personality but was really busy servicing the bar & making drinks for the tables! I have been here several times with friends for drinks and appetizers, each time I always had a good experience but this past week the experience was really exceptional. We normally take a table near the bar area however they sat us in a quieter area on the opposite side of the restaurant which I preferred. The restaurant is very clean and organized and well managed, plus the decor is modern looking. We shared a margarita pizza and a Bavarian pretzel, my one friend and I shared a bottle of red wine my other friend had a mixed drink and a beer. Our server was really terrific, we had ordered a $40 bottle of wine when she approached the table with our bottle she had another bottle on her serving tray, I assumed it was for another table but she just wanted to show us that there was another bottle of red wine that was similar and popular but was actually less expensive. I rarely see a server trying to undersell you, and while we still stuck with the $40 bottle of wine, I was impressed by this gesture as in not trying to rip us off. Love this local spot. Their wood fired pizza is so good and we highly recommend the spicy meatball and margharita pizzas. Both are great! The Hot Honey smoked wings are also a show stopper and their Mac and cheese, say no more. Today we were seated right away. However, weekends can get busy so call before to make a reservation and check in asap when you arrive because we have had to wait up to 20 minutes even with our reservation. Service was great, place was clean and lively. But the food was tasteless and just bad. We got the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer which were pretty good. We also got a Margherita pizza and it was the worst pizza I have ever had. It was floppy and soggy, the mozzarella tasted funky and the marinara sauce was loaded with garlic. We also had a burger that was beyond tasteless. We barely got through half of the meal. We of course took most of it home as we do not like to waste food but this was horrible. We left with a really bad taste in our mouths. We travel frequently on 15 and have been passing by this place for years, so this was very disappointing when we finally gave it a try. Just meh. We came for a late lunch on a cold, rainy saturday. It was moderately crowded inside. We waited for the hostess to get off of the phone before she welcomed us with an attitude and led us to our table. Bad impression. The interior is quite nice. It's a newer restaurant, so I would expect it to be very modern and clean which was very pleasing. We sat in a booth and were then greeted by Jeff, our server. Pretty normal guy. They have great options on the menu, and I wanted to try so much! We settled on sliders, onion rings, and tacos. I wanted chicken tacos but they had none on the menu, so I asked Jeff to substitute it, and kindly did he could try to make it work. (Ok?) I also substituted my side of chips with a side salad. No problem, no charge. Our food came in about 20 min. I'd admit that they have very good portion sizes- not too big not too small. However, the flavors were bland, the tacos were dry, burgers could have been made better at home. (The onion rings though- NAILED IT). Our bill came to $35. Needless to say, we wouldn't come back. Friday night, this place was packed and very lively plus its a very large space. They had a great crowd of people, lots of TV's for all sports fans. You can sit by the bar or eat in their dining room area. Driving down route 15 you can't miss this place plus its really easy to get in and get out. When you first walk in you see their brick oven. On the Left side there were tables full of people and on the right side there is a full bar with booth seating next to the bar and further back there is more seating. They have a great beer selection. The staff is very friendly and professional. I have been here before and they have do have a pretty decent menu. This time I ordered their cheeseburger and it was delicious. Both times that I have been here its been a good time. Definitely a place I will go back to. read more

This has quickly become our go-to place when no one wants to cook or we just need a night out. When there's a wait we just head over to the bar for a drink and to watch whatever game(s) are on. We've never had more than a 30 minute wait for a table. Great selection of beer that is updated frequently and 'tap takeovers' that highlight a featured brewery, lots of interesting cocktails, and a solid, diverse menu. Wood-fired pizza, (my faves are the Meatball pie and the White Pie - I'm a traditionalist, what can I say?), the house Smoked Wings, Buffalo and Honey BBQ, Pretzel & Beer Cheese, Fish Tacos, Carnita Tacos, The Terminator burger, and Cubanito sandwich, all get a thumbs up from me and the family. I wasn't a big fan of their Chicken and Waffles but your mileage may vary. Lots of choices for vegetarians or anyone who prefers gluten free (can't speak about either, sorry). Service is always good. I just ordered some take out and I'd be impressed if they could actually mess it up worse. The 20 minutes they said on the phone was actually 50. The server said it will be out in 2 minutes then forgot I existed for 20 minutes till I got mad. The food was cold before I even walked back to my car. The med well burger was cooked rare, the medium burger was actually dripping blood, literally not figuratively dripping blood and the smoked wings taste burnt. I really had to debate giving this place 3 and 4 stars. I think its a 4 star place and i just had a bad food experience once. I like there bar and the inside area is pretty nice. I have tried a few things here and it is generally good. The staff i have interacted with has always been friendly. I generally love the atmosphere of the bar area. They have a a pretty decent selection of beers on tap. I have never found myself wanting. I think they do a good job of keeping a fair mix in there too. I think there would be something for everyone on their beer list assuming you drink beer. The bad experience food wise was the tacos i ordered. They were the ones with the olives in them. I thought the dish may have been bad. I cant say here what i thought it tasted like because i feel like i would get in trouble. But it was just shocking. I attributed it to maybe olives just dont go well with tacos? But if other people have liked it maybe i just had a bad batch of tacos. read more

Pretty decent food. The server, Max, was super chill and attentive (we ate around 1 PM on Sunday so it wasn't packed). The pub burger was pretty good. They have an extensive beer and wine selection and for pub food they certainly hit the spot, pizza was very good though if they sliced the sopressata thinner it would have been even better , will go back again , prices reasonable and if you've visited the tap house in Wayne just keep in mind it's not the same owners I don't think and a much different menu read more
