This was listed as the best sports bar in Sioux Falls. I currently don't trust yelp because taphouse 41 is not open on Sunday. I was not able to get service at all during NFL football season. I can't speak to the quality of the food because the restaurant is not open. I just realized that my reviews are the only trustworthy ones on yelp. Our server was ok - a little brusque and business like. Just getting the job done. The beer to us was - meh. The ones we tried (stout and IPA) seemed a bit watery. My husband ordered the IPA because he wanted beer with his nachos. Right? I opted for wine. No list - there is one brand but it is a decent brand KJ. The nachos were delicious and unique. Beef, bacon, beer cheese, tomato, green onion, cilantro pesto, lime crème all served on top of kettle chips. The burger salad was also very good. The burger was slightly greasier than I like but the taste was fantastic. I have only eaten here once. And that was over the lunch hour. At most, the food is decent, but the employees could use a little help. What I mean by that is that they need to be trained on how to handle customers in real life. They come off as pompous and not caring. I did not have an issue with anybody. A great brick wall brewhouse with great food and service to top it off. Stopped here twice and liked everything about it both times! Had a different server/bartender on each visit and they were both amazing. Recommendations were on point, and knowledge of menu was helpful. Friendliness is always a pleasant bonus to these establishments. Good selection of beers on tap and a deep bar with plenty of selection. I went out with friends for dinner. After we entered, we saw a sign informing us to seat ourselves. We chose a booth near the entrance/exit, and waited for someone to clear the table. When a waitress saw us, she came by to give us our menus and then left. (Menu are underneath the table towards the outside.) When she left, we looked at the menu for what we wanted to order. In a few minutes, she came back and wiped off the crumbs from the table. She grabbed our drink orders first and then came back five-to-seven minutes later to grab our orders. Between the three of us, we ordered: fried calamari, buffalo wings with blue cheese and ranch dressing, cheese burger deluxe, and Baja. I split the Baja burger with another person and it was enough for me. The burger was not impressionable. These were some of the factors: The burger wasn't fresh hot. Maybe it was the avocado ... the lettuce ... Overall, the burger tasted okay. If you plan to split it, be warn it will get messy! The waitress graciously provided an extra plate for us to use. The buffalo wings were okay as well. The wings were not fresh hot from the fryer, basked in the buffalo sauce. I was able to eat it without burning the roof of my mouth. I didn't care for the fried calamari or the dipping sauce. I usually like calamari. My friend said the cheeseburger deluxe was delicious. Overall I wasn't impressed with the service or the food. It took a while for the waitress to notice we needed water. By the time we asked her and she refilled, we were already ready to leave. NOTE: When we left, the parking lot started to get filled with cars. This was starkly different from when we arrived and was able to get a space across from the restaurant entrance. read more

We stopped in for a late dinner while passing through Sioux Falls on a long road trip. We had a hankering for a good burger and fellow Yelpers did not let us down in leading us to TapHouse 41. They have a unique mix of burgers to choose from along with some other dishes and sides. I was bummed the burgers don't come with fries or any side but we shared a small side of their Duck Fat Fries and those were quite tasty. I had the PBR Burger & the Hubs ordered the Big Dipper and they did not disappoint in flavor! Juicy, tender and deliciousness oozing with wonderful toppings galore! Depending on what you go with it may end up being a knife-and-fork burger, but it is worth every forkful. The buns were really good, as well. Oh, and with a name having TapHouse in it, of course they also have a large selection of beers and other beverages to wet your whistle! Service was friendly, but bare minimum as our server really didn't check on us beyond taking the order and bringing the food. As I mentioned, we were there for a late dinner (well, late for us...around 8:30 p.m.) and they weren't busy, so a bit more attentiveness would have been nice. It took a while for them to take our payment as well. But, if we lived in the area we would definitely be visiting them again...because those were some tasty burgers! read more

Good: Burger sizes/cook- The value is really excellent at Taphouse 41 and the burgers are huge. I would say most people can split one and feel just fine about it. I REALLY appreciated how the Taphouse also cooked all burgers medium without asking. It's a risk on their part to assume the customer will be ok with this (plus any potential health concern people may have), but I very much enjoyed the medium/medium well burger. It made the burgers much juicier. Egg Burger- I really enjoyed my egg burger. The true highlight of this burger was the chorizo, which added a nice smoky taste to it. The egg itself added more fat and I liked the salsa. This burger tasted almost like a southwest/latin burger but still had the traditional toppings (onions, lettuce, and pickles), which I enjoyed. PBR- Again, a really rich burger but tons of flavor. I enjoyed the fries (although they got a bit soggy eventually). Loved the cheese and jalapeno as well. Twisted Steak Fries- Pretty standard fries/bacon/sour creme/green onion mix and still above average. I would have liked a tad bit more cheese as these ate a bit dry, but still good. Chicken Wings- These were surprisingly good. Not the best value but the wings came out hot, were crispy, and I enjoyed the sauce. Pickle Fries/Duck Fat Fries- Both excellent. Would definitely get these again. Ok/Bad: Nothing, really. The prices were all fair and I thought that the Taphouse 41 was a great restaurant. This was my first time here, and I discovered it via Yelp! (Thanks, friends!) Food is great! Better than I had anticipated to be honest. We also ordered the fried cheese curds, taters, skillet brussels, and simple salad. We got there about 2 hours before closing on a Friday night and they weren't too busy. Our waiter was attentive but seemed a little rushed. We got our fries, curds, and taters but the brussels and salad never arrived. We accidentally got an order of the fried potato salad (which was okay, not my fave). We had to flag down our waiter and let him know about the mishap. He genuinely apologized and brought the brussels and salad shortly after. Both delicious! The salad dressing is killer!!!! He, fortunately, did not charge us for the extra random side and discounted the check in general due to the mishap. This is the only reason I couldn't give this place a full 5 stars. First time in Sioux Falls, and of course I had to jump on Yelp to see what local places were a hit. My fiancee, my Mom, and myself decided that Taphouse 41 met all of our needs (after all I am a bourbon/whiskey fanatic). The fry appetizer is GINORMOUS and they are done perfectly, crispy outside, soft inside, and the seasoning is to die for. I got the BLT and could barely finish it. I was really a big fan of this place. The location seems odd but once you get inside you don't notice you are in a strip mall. The decor is right up my alley... dark woods with just enough lighting to see but not be too bright. They have a large selection of local beers and bourbons. I had the burger with no bun and a side of brussels sprouts which was pretty darn tasty. If I am in the area, or even just driving through, I would make this stop again. read more

This is our 3rd time visiting Taphouse 41. Since discovering this gem, we make it a point to stop here when passing thru town. The food has been very good. My husbands burger - today's special 'Cuban Burger' was hot, cooked perfect and the right amount of pork. I had grilled chicken salad - like a santa fe style - delicious and fresh; plus we just HAD TO (LOL) share an order of their sweet potato shoe string fries. We both each had a White Elm marshmellow porter. Was a bit pricey for 12 oz ($7), but is very tastey and would order again. It is very sad to see how empty the restaurant is this afternoon. Please, if you can, get out and support this local business. The neighborhood (cheers) atmosphere, their good food and large beer, whiskey & wine selection is more than worth it. Food: They have a pretty decent beer list here. I started with the Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA, one of my go-to favorites. For my meal, I ordered the Baja Burger which came with smoked hot pepper jack cheese, roast garlic mayo, creamy avocado, tomato salsa, and lime crème. That was one good burger. It was so good and flavorful, I could've easily eaten another one. I ordered it with a small order of duck fat fries which was tossed in Parmesan salt. Those were some good fries! I finished everything off with a Dark Horse Single Hop Cascade. That was a good beer as well. Service: Service was fantastic. I came in on a late afternoon and there were only a few patrons. The bartender was covering pretty much every table as well as the folks at the bar. He was friendly and made sure I had everything I needed even though it was clear that he was a bit overstretched. Location: It's located on the south side of 41st St right at S Western Ave. The parking lot is huge and shared with a bunch of stores. One of the best go to burger places I like to visit when I'm working in Sioux Falls. The burgers are consistently good, and the sides are great and shareable - especially when you can try a few during happy hour where they are discounted. Come for the beer menu as they tend to get some limited/rare stouts during the year as well as a good variety of local and regional ones. read more
