This is an update::: So I recently went back in to give it another shot. May i just say they must of done something different. The atmosphere was a lot better. The drinks were tasty and quick. The service was honestly probably one of the best service I've had from them. I don't know what made them change but I'm back to being a fan. I've been coming here for a few years, with my family and friends and even as an interview spot. Love the drinks, I usually get the strawberry juice which is to die for! The food is is great if you like junky, fried stuff like the chi chi fries and the popcorn chicken. it's in a good area, place is always clean and not too loud. read more

A little irritated here... I called the store and nobody answered, so I still headed there(since Yelp said it was open). I get there and their are four people working and the store was empty , so already I don't know why they didn't answer( I wanted to make sure they had a certain drink) . Come to find out this isn't the same tapioca express (like the one we all know) which is fine and I could have ordered something else but the fact that when I said "I wish you guys would've answered the phone,and I wouldn't have driven all the way out here", There was no " i'm sorry we were so busy we couldn't answer the phone." Or even any empathy on the situation. I know we are in weird times but I just drove 30 minutes to get here, and this is something that COVID doesn't even interfere with or at least shouldn't. Worst place to go to by far!!! I went in about 15 mins before close asked for an iced coffee and they said no because they cleaned the machine already and they have to do it 10 mins before close because it's a process I proceeded to them that it was 15 mins before close and she was very rude and said like I told you we can't make you that since it's already cleaned order something else I came in with my husband son and was very upset. So we leave I call to ask for the name of her manager and she told me I don't need to know who the manager is and hung up on me I will NEVER go back there again she was so unprofessional and rude. I had to see the Kings play a game before they most likely leave Sacramento, so of course I was going to have some tapioca deliciousness. Yes, the tapioca was alright,* firm, not mushy*, but that is the ONLY good thing I can say about it. They might as well have called it pearls with ice, because for an Almond snow bubble, it had zero flavor. My mother had a Jasmine milk tea with pearls, also void of any fragrance or flavor. How can you mess up such a basic drink? To top it all off, the guy at the counter was not friendly, and when my mother brought it to their attention that her drink was severely lacking, the female employee acted like it was a personal affront to mention it and didn't offer to remake the drink. It was very delicious but I have a complaint the customer service wasn't good they were not polite or friendly and I asked for a cup of water and they gave me the tiniest cup to drink out of I was very disappointed I probably won't go back there is so many places that have bubble tea with better service! read more

You can't go wrong with a staple. That's why I was excited when I found out there's a Tapex in Sacramento. Extremely fast service. 10 seconds after you're handed your receipt fast. Food comes out fairly quick. Maybe a 5 minute wait, but that's completely understandable. I got the hot milk tea with boba and chi chi fries on separate occasions. The tea was pretty good, a generous amount of boba. The chi chi fries were okay, not too much sauce and the chicken was a little dry, maybe overcooked. The customer service is pretty good; smiles and niceties are exchanged regularly. The entire feel of the cafe feels more like a get in, get out kind of place which I thought was odd. But maybe that's because I'm there on Tuesday evenings. Overall, nothing really to complain about. Can't go wrong with the staples. read more

They always provide excellent customer service, they bring your drinks to order in a very timely manner and the staff is super friendly. There strawberry bubble tea is absolutely amazing and I continued to come to this place on a weekly basis it is just that good. I've been wanting to go to a bubble drink place for months! This place has a pretty good sized bubble drink menu plus snacks and even entertainment for children (small toys n board games, etc.). I ordered a strawberry banana snow bubble with tapioca n it was pretty good. I'm spoiled by fresh fruit smoothie tapioca drinks, and if this place had them I would've given them 5 stars as I don't find the powdered flavored drinks as appetizing. read more

Had to leave the same review from google maps because my experience was so bad! came in on a Thursday night at 903 to get some bomb chicken and the girl in the glasses was very rude and said the kitchen closes 30 mins prior to closing. I've come here a this place a bunch of times over the course of a few years now. I just come here for the drinks. I'd recommend the white mocha snow bubble and the plain milk tea with bobba. Pros: =good quality drinks (I've had some crappy milk tea and this is not it). =snow bubbles are really good. =tapioca is really good most of the time. =friendly and personable staff. =they have two really comfortable chairs and a nice water fountain deal which gives the place a nice ambience when it's not crowded. Cons: =chicken is good but half the time they are out of it. They also don't give you very much of it. =tapioca is sometimes really chewy. Kind of hit or miss here. read more

Compared to Tea 4 U this place is a rip off and they didn't really seem like a serious professional establishment. They have random messages taped to the counter on printer paper- like all orders final, make sure you say what you want clearly, as they will not fix or swap out your drink. A year or so after buying my first drink from this place, I finally earned enough stamps on my customer loyalty card to receive a free drink. I ordered three milk teas (almond, vanilla chai, strawberry) for myself and two friends. After signing the receipt for my purchase, only then did one of the three workers ask me if it was okay to have mini-tapioca instead of the large I ordered, because they were all out of that size. Considering that the kitchen area is about 5X5, I don't believe that they weren't aware of their shortcoming when I ordered. Besides, how can they run out of the one thing that they're supposed to have? It's like McDonald's running out of hamburger patties. Anyways, my two friends said their drinks were good, but my almond milk tea was the worst I had ever had. It tasted watered down, weak, and the mini-tapioca are crap. Did I get lame drinks because I was cashing in on my customer loyalty card? Did I just get unlucky and visit on one of their bad days? Who cares? I've been to many tapioca / boba drink places and this one is my least favorite. My drink was overly sweet and the condensed milk tasted like it went bad and don't get me started on the under cooked tapioca balls. If this is to your liking, you should defi nitely come here. I must of went to this place on an off day, but I doubt that I will be back here again. There is too much competition and better tapioca drink places in town. Love the drinks even though it is kind of pricey. But my two stars belongs to the customer service and the snobby little Asian girls that work there. My kid was playing with one of the games and when she put it away as best as she can she is 5....one of the girls stormed behind the counter and grab the game to fix it...and while she was doing that she was saying something to the other girls, then she looked at me and gave me a snotty smirky look. My other kid gave her the rest of the pieces for the game and the girl says.......with a very snobbish attitude, "there are more all over the floor by your seat." I was like "ok we will pick it up when we are done or maybe you can." Anyway they were not inviting and at least my kids were trying to clean their mess up. read more

One of my favorite Tap Ex locations quick friendly service and yummy Boba drinks, crispy chicken and shrimp/squid balls & got to have my grass jelly oh yeah! Not all Tap Ex locations make their drinks the same but this one has the right flavor and consistencies! I really wish they would make "Tiger Tea" (Jasmine milk tea with Thai tea mix) add some grass jelly and bam!..that would be my fave! read more

They have a great stuff here! My favorite is the jasmine green tea with boba. However, the staff could be a little friendlier. The girl working here hardly ever smiles. I wonder if I am hindering her with my order. But it's manageable I guess. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the jasmine green tea. I love coming to this Tap Ex. My favorite drinks to get are the avocado snow bubble and the watermelon icy. Both of the flavors are extremely outstanding, you could really taste the watermelon and avocado; It's so refreshing. The staff is also really friendly as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a hello and smile. Plus, they're really fast at making drinks. So fast I barely have time to take a seat lol. I would even say they're faster than Quickly so, I think Quickly's doesn't deserve that name ahahaha. Anyways, hands down my favorite Tap Ex and boba place. read more

Fast and friendly service. T4 has a slight edge on the taste but I prefer this atmosphere better.

Our drinks came out literally 30 seconds right after we paid. The servers were friendly and the service is no joke "express" but their drinks really need some improvement. His milk tea tasted like chocolate and my jasmine milk tea had no hint of jasmine. Despite the lack of flavor, I give two stars for the service and the nice consistency of the tapioca balls:) read more

Everytime I go to Davis I HAVE to come by here, this place is absolutely amazing and I'd be quite disappointed if I didn't. I live in San Francisco, and I promise you I have not tasted any milk tea in SF better than this. The flavor is amazing, though a tab bit on the sweeter side, it's a good portion and not too filling. Tasty! I love the huge menu! I haven't been to another branch so I can't compare but the people are always nice and my boba is always fresh. Yum! I prefer the smaller tapioca now - I tried it after they ran out of the large boba when I showed up a minute before closing (another star for that - they didn't try to say they were closed or push me out the door)! read more
