Drove right by looking for something new and compatriot needed to stop by the gas station so we ended up here. Wasn't in the mood for burgers otherwise we might've been there instead. Service was friendly and helpful with any questions. We both got tacos of different varieties. They also made a breakfast taco for me which was nice. Fav was easily the cabeza. This taco food truck in a sketchy Shell parking lot is SO GOOD. You know it's legit when the only customers are Mexican construction workers, and the ladies greet you only in Spanish (although they do speak English). They are cash only, and their prices are excellent. Their breakfast tacos are $2.50 and regular tacos are $3.50, with a few exceptions. I've tried the barbacoa, pastor, lengua, and carnitas tacos. This is a picture perfect taco in all forms of the definition. It's rare in Austin to find some in the city that don't fall into the mix of over priced and over played with. Unassuming taco truck that I must have passed by hundreds of times, given how close it is to the gas station I normally fill up at, I'm amazed that I haven't stopped by until today. Taqueria Anyeli has for my money the best corn tortillas that I've had from any taco truck in the city as they have great flavor, great structural integrity and surprisingly pliable - i.e. it's as close to - perfection as it gets in the tortilla world. The salsa is a spicy green creamy sauce that goes well on the tacos. I personally think their breakfast tacos are better than their meat ones as I didn't think they had particularly amazing flavor on their own. I think particularly what I would like from their tacos were that they were a little less lean - the al pastor, campechano and even the chorizo and egg could benefit from a bit more grease tbh as it's a little on the drier side and the fat soluble flavors could shine a bit more as a result. I know that's an odd request though but I feel like with dynamite salsa and tortillas, the fillings need to be just a tad better for maximum awesomeness. Would still definitely eat again though. This place is the bomb.com. It's just a random food truck next to a gas station and it may be hard to locate, but I was glad that I found it. Cheap tacos that are absolutely delicious. I tried chorizo and egg, chicharon, pastor, and carnitas and they were all so so flavorful. They come with a green and red sauce which were not super spicy but added a great kick to the tacos. This is the taco truck of your dreams. The quality and cost is unparalleled. Even when I'm 4th in line to order, they're in my hands quickly. There's nothing more you can ask for in a neighborhood taco truck. The corn tortillas are hand made, the ingredients fresh and the green sauce to die for. I dig their green sauce more then the Taco Deli or Taco Shack around the corner. I've been going to Olga and her crew here for well over a year. Their menu has expanded to occasionally offer specials on the weekends. They routinely take card now, but I would bring cash because you'll want to tip them after you get your tacos. There's next to no wait for the food. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. There's a cute pink picnic bench behind the truck to eat your food while contemplating life. A coworker recommended this hidden gem to me back in 2015. Taking his advice, I sought out the bubblegum pink food truck, plopped inconspicuously in the parking lot of a Shell gas station. A line of Hispanic construction workers on their lunch break promised me a meal both culturally authentic and made to fill a working man's appetite, which is exactly what the chefs at Taqueria Anyeli delivered. A family run business with recipes rooted in perfected techniques, everything on the menu is prepared with love and obvious heritage: the ingredients remain simple, yet the tastes and textures are profound. The breakfast tacos are filling and flavorful (I particularly recommend their ham and nopales fillings as accompaniments to scrambled eggs). The tripe tacos are the best I've ever had, and I find myself craving them almost on a weekly schedule. Chicharron, pastor, and lengua tacos are other regular choices for me, but there are honestly no wrong choices here. Menudo is available on Saturdays for Mexicans looking for the familiar taste of home or anyone looking for a restorative meal after a hard week. The ladies who work behind the counter at this treasured establishment never fail to have a smile on their faces, and their food is sure to put one on yours. I have been going here for almost 10 years since I live around the corner. I am Mexican, and I travel to Mexico frequently for work, and I can say without a doubt that this is the best Mexican-truck food I have found in Austin. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this trailer yet seeing as how I'm here at least 2x week. This is a really unassuming trailer run by 3 ladies who make delicious breakfast tacos. The tacos are cheap, tasty and filling. I usually get the potato and egg, and bean and cheese and add avocado and cheese. The taco are 1.50 and it's 0.25 extra to add avocado (which is crazy deal). The size of the tacos depends on the day....the tortillas are on the smaller end but they fill it to the brink with the fillings. The only gripe I have is that their lunch tacos, the chicken fajita one. The lunch taco is really small and there isn't enought meat or peppers on there, and thus I stick to the breakfast tacos which have yet to dissapoint me. Also, another iffy thing is that they prepare the meats right next to the veggie cutting area. I've had the lady wipe her gloves with a towel while she looked like she was marinating some chicken and then handle my credit card payment. So far, I have yet to get sick so I'm trusting what they are doing. read more

I've driven by and pumped gas at the Shell numerous times, always wondering if I should try the tacos. I finally decided to try it this morning for breakfast since I was hungry and already having to wait for the pump. Why have I been keeping myself away from these tacos?? I ordered two breakfast tacos - chorizo&eggs and sausage&eggs - and went ahead and ordered my lunch for the day - Barbacoa, al pastor and lengua. I got the tacos all on corn tortilla. The breakfast tacos have been destroyed within minutes - and not because I was hungry - but because they were that good. The green sauce with the tacos just added the perfect flavor. The tortillas are not the typical flimsy corn tortillas you get everywhere else. They are actually thicker and held up all the goodness inside. Lunch is looking really good today. Can't wait to dive in. I will probably need to ask for more sauce next time since I am a major sauce/condiment girl. You can never have enough sauce! read more
