Tacos

Drove right by looking for something new and compatriot needed to stop by the gas station so we ended up here. Wasn't in the mood for burgers otherwise we might've been there instead. Service was friendly and helpful with any questions. We both got tacos of different varieties. They also made a breakfast taco for me which was nice. Fav was easily the cabeza. Compatriot had gotten the pastor, but said it'd be better as a burrito for him. Pretty quick all in all, which worked best for our short lunch break.

This taco food truck in a sketchy Shell parking lot is SO GOOD. You know it's legit when the only customers are Mexican construction workers, and the ladies greet you only in Spanish (although they do speak English). They are cash only, and their prices are excellent. Their breakfast tacos are $2.50 and regular tacos are $3.50, with a few exceptions. I've tried the barbacoa, pastor, lengua, and carnitas tacos. They were all delicious, and my favourite was the lengua.

Best freaking breakfast tacos and only for $2! They have many options for breakfast and lunch and everything is to die for. Obsessed with this little pink truck.

One of the best tacos I have had in Austin and ONLY $3. This is such a hidden gem. Make sure to bring cash because it is cash only

This place is the bomb.com. It's just a random food truck next to a gas station and it may be hard to locate, but I was glad that I found it. Cheap tacos that are absolutely delicious. I tried chorizo and egg, chicharon, pastor, and carnitas and they were all so so flavorful. They come with a green and red sauce which were not super spicy but added a great kick to the tacos. Tacos range from $1.50-3 but two tacos was enough to fill me up so I essentially had lunch for only $3.50!!! This place is a gem, you must try it!

Uh, ya, I use to think Los Compadres was my favorite in Belton Texas.. And they're awesome! But, this place beat um out. So so good, and the sauces were on point as well! I got 1 campechanos and 1 pastor. Pastor was my favorite, now it's campechanos. Legit!

New look to the trailer and their menu.

This is the taco truck of your dreams. The quality and cost is unparalleled. Even when I'm 4th in line to order, they're in my hands quickly. There's nothing more you can ask for in a neighborhood taco truck. The corn tortillas are hand made, the ingredients fresh and the green sauce to die for. I dig their green sauce more then the Taco Deli or Taco Shack around the corner. I've been going to Olga and her crew here for well over a year. Their menu has expanded to occasionally offer specials on the weekends. They routinely take card now, but I would bring cash because you'll want to tip them after you get your tacos. There's next to no wait for the food. They're only open for breakfast and lunch. There's a cute pink picnic bench behind the truck to eat your food while contemplating life. Which will be improved by eating said tacos.

Very good breakfast tacos. Made from scratch and fresh. Careful though, food is very hot since it's just made.

Arriba Abajo as you walked in just gave me all the vibes of a happening place when you want to hang out with friends and have a great time. We ordered the braised ribs rolled tacos for appetizers. It was so fresh and kicking' with all kinds of flavors. I wish I had ordered another one. The avocado sauce layered on the bottom was just enough to keep wanting more. For lunch I ordered the Carneasada Fajitas with chimichurri and my husband ordered the Carneasada Taqueria. With my fajitas came a side of frijoles, green rice & flour tortillas. Corn flour was the other option. Both meals came in pipin' hot & the smell coming from both was very aromatic, zesty & spice. Amazing taste, flavors, just the right amount of marinade on the Carneasada with a hint of lime. It was so delicious while enjoying the ambiance. Our server was a delight and took very good care of us. We didn't order any of their alcoholic beverages since we were both working, but definitely we will be back to enjoy more food and try out their beverages.

Another fun place in Austin! Great Mexican food, great and…read morefast service and the mood here was so cozy and inviting- we really enjoyed our food here. So we were thinking of tacos or Mexican food and my daughter suggested this spot as she had come here with some friends and really enjoyed their sopecitos. I had never had a sopecito! What is that! So we had to try... We were lucky to arrive at the right time (9 pm!) where we got their last table!! Make reservations or something because this is another one of those places that fills up! So- we were taken care of immediately: chips and some very hot salsas were set on the table while we chose. They menu is in QR code format, but we asked and got paper menus as well. Well I got the chicken sopecitos , my daughter got the pork ones and my partner got the meat tacos. Everything was delicious, the food arrived promptly, the portion size was perfect and bountiful and everything was super enjoyable. I really enjoyed trying some New Mexican favorites. Next time I will try some other delicacies since I always get tacos tacos burritos or quesadillas: time for some new items on the menu! Enjoy!

Music was so loud in the back room areas that you could not even have a conversation with others at your table. When I asked to have the music turned down, I was ignored. Our go to restaurant ... often. Always great service and food. Wonderful atmosphere. A true escape…read morefrom day-to-day life in Austin. Always show up here when folks visit from out of town. Varied menu. Daily special/additions. Everything you might want in an interior Mexican restaurant. Frozen margaritas are world class ... best anywhere! The Miguel platter is a wonderful way to start off. Guacamole is best in town. Tasty lamb chops. Must have black beans! I had the pork chop which is a treat! My wife had crab enchiladas, a special, and said they were delicious (with suiza sauce). Beef dishes were a hit too. Tres leeches and flan were well received and the vanilla ice cream and latte were a great end to a wonderful dining experience.

As a Texas native & Austinite, my boyfriend has been going to Fonda for years (they've been around…read moresince 1975 after all). I've only been once and it's definitely not gonna be the last time. In fact, we've got an upcoming reservation that's been on the books for quite sometime. They've managed to remain delicious, relevant and in demand 50 years! That's saying something. I'll tell you what that says...it says they rule! Reservations can be tricky to get but oh so worth it. The bar & atrium are fantastic and they boast a generous happy hour. The restaurant area and entire space are decorated wonderfully. Amazing artwork adorns the walls, they've got extensive art all about, vaulted ceilings and more. It's kind of like being in a hacienda. It feels like you're in Mexico. Truly. The restaurant and food are upscale without being pretentious. How refreshing! Speaking of refreshing...they've got cocktails and mocktails that will knock your socks off. I'm a big fan of the Nojito. My boyfriend loves the Mexican martini (it's primo). Let's talk about food. Wow-wee is it everything and then some. This is the kind of Tex-Mex flavor that sends your tastebuds into a tailspin of goodness! On our visit we did a salsa flight (we did 3 salsas), the queso (melted muenster and Oaxacan), Wagyu beef tacos, and chicken verde enchiladas. We did a spread like that in order to share everything. Food so good I'd give ten stars if I could. I can't put my finger on it but there's just something so special about the food, the taste of it, and the quality. It's just incredible flavor explosion bite after bite. If I had to guess, I'd say the food has been made with love, skill, and attention to detail all these years. Hence, their amazing reputation. Service is beyond compare. Hands down some of the best I've experienced in all of my worldly travels. Fonda San Miguel (Tzintzuntzan) is a dream come true!
