I am surprised at the negative reviews here! We were at the playground and the kids were getting hungry, so we decided to walk here for some lunch. The service was great! Very friendly and the food came out surprisingly fast. We felt welcome and the bathrooms were very clean. I got the carne asada combination plate and my kids got a cheese quesadilla. Everything was delicious, we finished it all, even though the portions were big. Small, counter-service, no frills kind of mom and pop place--great spot for a quick lunch. read more

Service is bad. I made a mistake ordering coffee, menudo and queso Birria. This is so bad !!! Instant coffee. $2.50 !!!!! Menudo with no hominy. Asked for the pigs feet and paid extra. When it was discovered the rude waitress said it is in small pieces. She lied. I asked for water and paid $2.00. My tacos were so greasy. I had to go home and bathe. Don't come to this place. Amazing Mexican food. Delicious Jamaica. They serve Caldos, Menudo and Birria regularly (at least every time I've been there). Amazing homemade salsa too. Good bang for the buck and worth a stop if craving tacos and in the area. read more

SINCRONIZIDA: It's like a quesadilla and torta fusion. 2 layers of tortillas sandwich cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado giving it a nice appealing and fresh color. The avocados were freshly cut and not oxidized at all and we opted for carne asada instead of the more classic ham. It tasted good and I liked it more than a plain quesadilla but it did fall apart easily and best eaten with fork and knife or cut into small pieces. Cabeza Tacos: The meat was overflowing and tender while still retaining a meaty taste and not overcooked to oblivion. It was light on onion and cilantro and I wish there was more, the cilantro was also wilted and almost looked like it had been dried. I also had to add a small amount of salt to the meat. Al Pastor Tacos: Same feedback with the garnish. Meat was tender and had a nice grill/flame taste. We ordered on a weekend around 11:30 and the food was ready in 10 minutes. read more

Parking lot available. Pretty busy during lunch which is a great sign. We ordered 8 tacos to share, $28 total. I had the lengua and tripa tacos which were awesome. Generous portion with great pricing. The tripa was extra crispy, would totally come back for more. Would be nice if they throw in a chips and salsa bar lol read more

Stopped by on a whim to order a few tacos to-go after a hike. Ordered 3 of different meats so I can try the assortment. Ordered Carne Asada, Chicken, and Al Pastor. Tacos were OK. I like my tortillas a little more cooked/crispier so it can hold up while eating. The tortillas were a little mushy in my opinion. Meat was flavored ok.. This is a cool little spot in Hayward to grab some good Mexican food. It's located a little in the cutz and has a parking lot with plenty of space. Been here multiple times and say that the wet burrito is a tasty and heavy treat that can do the job for someone who needs to sober up after some drinking. The tacos here are tasty but never overwhelming. There's a good selection here so customers have plenty of options to choose from. The staff work quickly and are very patient. The carne asada & shrimp burrito was hella good but expensive. This restaurant sits sort of off in the cuts. This was my first time ordering food. They took my order over the phone and it was ready in 10 minutes. Everything was great - the super burrito has fresh avocados and the hot sauce is spicy but tasty. This place is the epitome of a hole in a wall. Yes the place is kind of sketchy from outside and inside; but food is great! My fiancée loves their huge wet burritos. The green sauce they put on it it's so delicious. I am not a fan of burritos but I could eat the ones from here anytime; and king taco's from LA (of course.) My favorite from here are the quesadillas sincronizada though. The veggies and flavorful meat/chicken inside the tortilla mixed with the cheeses they use are the perfect mixture to a wonderful and unforgivable quesadilla. I love coming here just for that! Aguas frescas are also good. Food is cheap and everything is big (check out the pics) one burrito from here is like two from king taco's. Aranda's has been a family favorite for years. The tacos and burritos are on point. The meats are very flavorful; my favorites being asada, al pastor and carnitas. I love that they also put fresh avocado instead of guacamole. It is a little intimidating at first because the staff and customers mainly speak spanish but once you get over that, the food is all that really matters & it's soo good!!! read more

Burritos: Dry. As. Hell. The super burrito was mostly rice and beans with some meat and avacado spread here and there. It feels like there's a knot in my stomach hours after consuming it. Not doing that again. Tacos: decent but too salty. I still enjoyed it but not enough to carry this review. Quesadilla: My girlfriend had this and said it was good. So the hype surrounding the quesadilla is fair but based on the other foods I've had here I doubt I'm gonna come back. I always give places a couple chances before giving them a review (unless they are flat out terrible). Arandas was decent or bad the times I went here so I will not be returning. read more

Got the Al Pastor super burrito from here and was satisfied! The super burrito comes with sour cream, avocado, and a bit more! It was also huge, so I ended up eating half, and saving the other half (hopefully it still tastes good). My boyfriend got the carne asada tacos with beans and rice. They were average, and the rice was a bit hard. The beans were perfect though! Sad to say he liked my burrito more than he liked the tacos. read more

This place was delicious! I ordered the super steak burrito served wet. The wait was not bad considering they make everything right there. The place itself is small and not too many places to sit. But the food was very good. The only negative was the green sauce they put on the burrito was cold, it tasted like it came out of a can and just scooped over the tortilla. The horchata though was sweet and milky, so worth it. Probably wont be back here but it was definitely scrumptious! read more

We said what the hell, the shadiest places are usually the best. Unfortunately, that didn't hold true this time. Chorizo - tasted like a dead animal scraped off the road, chopped up, and fried on the flat burner. Yeah, that gross. Carne Asada - super greasy and oily. Queritos - chewy, rubbery, old. Pollo asado, Al Pastor - both decent enough to put 2 stars for this place. Salsa Picante - Highly overpowered by the taste of cloves, and a strange sour aftertaste. I thought I knew what a great burrito tasted like. I mean, I grew up in San Diego. I have family in Arizona. If I had a nickel for every burrito I've eaten, I'd be very very rich. Boy was I schooled when I went to Taqueria Arandas! Yes, the place is a little shady. There are bars on the doors and windows, it doesn't seem all the clean, and these random dudes sitting outside stare at you as you get out of your car. I'm sure a little white girl like me probably shouldn't be in this area in general. BUT! Damn these burritos were off the hook! I got the carne asada super burrito and, from the first bite to the last, I was in heaven! The beans and rice were perfectly combined to create an excellent layer of flavor without it being oversaturated and soggy. The carne asada was the right size and flavor. And the "super" (aka guacamole, sour cream, extra cheese) was on the money. I've been back twice since I discovered this gem and have been equally pleased with each burrito. There is no need to go anywhere else if you are craving a quality meal. Just ignore the dudes staring at you ;) read more

Place look crappy and scary from the outside and hard to find but the food is great there wet burrito is one of my faves. I've tried other items on there menu but i always end up going back for the burrito. There horchata is not the best but its an ok for pair with your meal. read more
