First time eating here, and I was not disappointed! It was on my lists of places to visit, with all the high reviews it has, as well it should! Very clean, open atmosphere, great decor without being too much! Stephanie was amazing! I got the Flauta's combo plate, the Fajita Wrap with steak, and the two enchilada combo with shredded pork and it was SO good! Huge portions and not pricey at all! I loved the self-serve salsa and topping area and it was very clean, as well! Will definitely be coming back soon!

So this was our first time here, there was a line to order ...no biggie, because we were with a large group. They were quick with getting the food out and didn't make any errors- that's impressive! The food was DELICIOUS! There was a little kick to some of the dishes. They have a salsa bar- I feel like it's been forever since I've seen one of these (definitely since before COVID)! The QR code on the floor didn't work- I feel like it would've been cool to order thru the app. We will definitely be back.

Good food. I'd go more often if they had prices displayed on the menu. Also it's a good thing I know what I like since the menus are hard to read - the digital display changes too fast.

Here are the items that need improvement: Service, Food quality and Food preparation.

Pretty good! Loved the salsa bar! We ordered chips not realizing we got the regular ones for free, so we had quite a few of the fluffy flour chips which were delicious for sure, just not what we had expected. Our burritos were great and the restaurant itself was a nice environment to be in! We ordered at a kiosk and grabbed a table number. We filled up our own drinks and the server brought our food to us! Great time and we will definitely be back!

2 tacos alambre! Grilled tortillas filled with asada, red and green bell peppers, onions and jalapeños. Topped with melted Jack cheese bacon! Guacamole on the side. Done and fantastic. Need to make my way back here more often! #spicemeister approved!

This is a neighborhood Mexican place. The space is freshly remodeled, clean and spacious. Walk up and order and they bring your food. Service is friendly. They have a great salsa bar, the Birria is the best we've had. Everything is fresh, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Nothing not to like here.

We practically raised our kids here. Good food, good prices, family friendly. A great casual neighborhood spot.

This location and their location in Riverbank are without a doubt the best Mexican restaurants in the Modesto area.

We ordered the ribs, sausage, and Cajun shrimp pasta, and every dish arrived piping hot, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. The appetizer, triple dipper, set the tone right away rich, satisfying, and clearly made with care. And the dessert was a true highlight beautifully prepared, and the perfect finish to an already impressive meal. Service was just as outstanding as the food. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of throughout the entire visit, ensuring we had everything we needed without ever being annoyed. Place is nice and clean and feels at home. One of the best surprises was the portion size generous to the point that we left with plenty of leftovers, which honestly made the experience even better the next day.

It's been awhile since Ive been to Chilis and was craving for their steak fajitas. But before I go into details about the food. Let me talk about Service- 5 stars. Andrew our waiter was attentive and got us refills on the chips and salsa and my soda without asking. Everyone was top notch. Even when we left, the hosts said goodbye as we left. 5 stars for all Now we had the bottomless chips and salsa- recipe hasn't changed so tasted like what we remember. 5 stars Now my steak fajita. First thing I noticed, NO GUAC on my condiments! I asked Andrew about that and he said they took that off 5 months ago. I could add it for a fee which I declined. Now the steak fajita - Lost its sizzle , the grill plate they used is different from the cast iron they use to use. The sizzle to the table was weak. As for the steak they used, it definitely has changed. Making the fajita without the guac definitely changed the taste on my fajita growing up. And for that, I give it 3 stars My wife got the ancho salmon, seemed like she enjoyed it. I gave her more of my Spanish rice since it's a small portion they give. As a Chilis reward member, we did get the chips and salsa for free. Nice reward. 5 stars Overall, my experience was great but I doubt I will get the steak fajita again since it's not the same. But they do have other things to try at a good price. For that, I give it just 4 stars

Their menu is pretty inviting with the vibrancy of the photos and the originality of the items. Their menu is comprised of everything hot dogs and fries. From hot dogs topped with crushed hot cheetos to fries topped with carne asada. They even had a hot dog topped with a fried egg. You walk up and are met with a smile. They are more than happy to answer questions and accommodate as much as they can. They truly want you to come back and if I ever see this truck again, I would be hard pressed NOT to come back.

After deciding…read moreon fair food, I felt the cravings of a hit dog and some fries; then I noticed a truck serving both... But with some flavor and style. Many of the choices carry a street-style Mex-American flavor along with some basics. For example they had some with hot Cheetos and sone with elotes, which is corn kernels off the cob. They say they are loaded hot dogs and yeah they are. I decided on the Messy Dog with onions, jalapeño, jack cheese, house sauce and carne asada, wow. As for fries, I played it safe with Chili Cheese Fries. This one came with nacho cheese so that was a plus for me. The Messy Dog was great, in fact I was offered a fork and I said yes, and luckily I made a good decision there, This came loaded, just as the picture showed, coming as advertised. When you see this thing, you may ask yourself, "Where is the hot dog?" It is there buried underneath by all the sauces, cheese and carne asada. By the time the hot dog shows up it was still hot and had a good crunch and texture to it, making it chewable and mouth-watery for me. The carne asada was chopped into tiny bits and brought another flavor and the onions had the right caramelization to back up the load, wonderful recommendation. The Chili Cheese Fries were seasoned well and maintained its crunch for some time. nacho cheese was melted and creamy enough to keep me from wanting to waste the boat. TBF, I was at a fair when I tried this place, so the prices were high, but fortunately there was a large amount of food served therefore it didn't come off as a waste of money ( around $15 to $20 , however the dogs and fries are sold separately, no combos or anything). Being in a fair it was the kind of environment expected at a county fair: Benches, canopies, hot weather and family entertainment. Yeah, I would try this place again wherever I may find them, Krèpe Dog. Loaded Dogs and Fries. Check me in.
