It's been forever since I've been to this Taqueria, and it is still good as I remember it! In the past I would always get a burrito or enchiladas, but on my most recent visit I got the birria taco plate which came with Mexican rice, consommé, and cilantro & onions. I also got a classic frozen jumbo margarita. Everything was so full of flavor, I enjoyed every bite and sip. My waiter was also very kind and gentle, he gave me and my family very nice service. It's difficult to give five stars because most restaurants can't meet the mark on every platform. There's something to be said about food quality versus service and distinguishing itself from ambience but this place was exceptional. We love that when you walk in you're greeted right away and allowed to sit wherever you so choose. Quick staff meant drink orders were taken promptly and menus with time to look over. Chips and salsa were quick to follow. (Ask for the green salsa for a kick) I opted for the guacamole live and was not disappointed definitely a generous portion. I had the molcajete and it was too much for me too finish so bring your appetite. Thanks again. We will be back read more

This was the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I got the steak enchiladas, our server "Arnold" was extremely kind and helpful, and my wife and friends and I had an amazing time. The music was fun, and the atmosphere perfectly nostalgic for a Tex mex experience. I even left my wallet there and they put it in an envelope and protected it well! read more

Food was decent. Nothing special, but not bad. A roach crawled across the counter while we were paying, and they still charged us full price. We didn't expect a full comp but it's customary that there is some type of apology after an encounter as such. Instead they sent us on our way like that was normal. We still ate the food. I ordered online, had order delivered & it was completely wrong. I spent $45 for food i didn't order! Tried calling, they admitted sending wrong food out but said they were really busy. And?! While the food is good. Menu prices are not honored and menu description and photo are not what you get. I asked the waitress who was unsure. She got the manager or someone in charge and she didn't acknowledge the inaccuracies. She simply stated if I wanted the plate was pictured, I'd have to order extra for the extra cost. Fast service and excellent food! My husband and I love their fajitas, tacos al pastor, tortas, ceviche and caldos. My kids love the smothered burritos and chimichangas. They have a new menu though, and the menu here on yelp is not updated. They don't have some of the combination plates anymore. Restaurant is very clean and hand sanitizer readily available. Bar is still in use but bar stools have been taken down. Tables are a good distance apart. Staff were not all wearing their masks. read more

Well if you go off just looks you wouldn't stop probably. But what a mistake that would be! The location off Interstate 35 and Lakeshore Drive by the Hampton Inn is awesome! Friendly service and the food was outstanding! They have specialty items like quail, and fish from nose to tail. We had the Super Mercajete and stuffed ourselves! Cooked to perfection and oversized portions! They also have burgers and chicken fried steak but we have only tried the Mexican and have no regrets! Drinks are tasty but beware that what is on the menu is not always available (Herradura on our visit). I'm sure there is much more to be discovered about this restaurant as we have only been twice but we are looking forward to discovering everything. read more

Ask for the Tacos al Cabrón. ;) Good margaritas. Good tacos, salsa, and cheese sauce is bomb! Did I mention the Cabrón tacos? Ask for extra Cabrón. Food was delicious. The complimentary queso was a nice freebie. The salsa was exceptional. We got the parillada mixta and enjoyed it vey much. It came with a plate of rice, beans, sour cream, quacamole, cheese and salad. The place lost a star for us because of the service. The waitress was rushed and not very inviting. I'm very disappointed, I was there last night, when I got home i noticed my blue pullover sweater was missing. I forgot it at this restaurant, I called and asked them to look for it, it was there. I asked if i could pick it up today, they said Yes. Today, i went-IT WAS NOT THERE! I talked to their manager April, she said she was sorry but that the sweater was no longer there. Would really like to be able to go here more. Foods good but the services is so awful... always so awful. Staff is rude and negligent to customers. Seem to be to worried about everything else going on and their boyfriends showing up. Tried to call in orders a few times and always get put on hold and then listen to the staff chit chat and laugh right next to the phone. If the order does get taken it doesnt get put into their system or made so it's never ready when you show up. Just awful really really wish they would do something about this. read more

Although I eat lunch here at least two times a week, I cannot vouch for anything on the menu besides their Tortilla Soup. OMG... fresh daily, nice large slices of avocado, chunks of chicken, this stuff is amazing. Usually when the wait staff sees my car pull up, they already have my order in and my tea sitting at the table at which they will seat me. You have to try this place. We sat down a family of 7 for a good 5 -10minutes. Normally we get served chips and salsa. She took our order to our drinks. A table of 7 walks moments later all men they were attended. She comes back oh did Yal want chips and salsa I didn't know. Goes and comes back remind you the other table of men were served immediately as we watched. She says ok are yal ready to order - yes, go ahead referring to my husband to place order. Two more men walk in and she immediately turns around attends to them leaving my husband hanging pointing at the menus and mouth open because she initiated to go ahead to place the order. That's one example of bad customer service. She comes back I say Viejo go ahead make the order. She raised her eyebrow smiles very cocky and was just checking him out. I thought to myself is this really happening in front of me and my kids. She does it again Ok she knows am watching. After my husband is done placing the order she comes to me I give her the order and repeated it because the whole time she had this smirk like attitude like I just took made a pass at him in front of you as a married woman's point of view it was disrespectful as long as been married never witnessed such disrespect. When she asked what else she could help with, Yes please check yourself. I seen how you were acting and how you immediately ignore us when asked Are yal ready to order then walk away because 2 guys came in. You didn't serve us chips or salsa but the table with all men that came in after my family you did. She started yelling your not going to be rude to me. We exchanged words she Ended up threatening me to meet her 3pm because that's what time she got off. I was pissed to the max. The manager I assume in a grey uniform hears us and takes over. My daughter explained the situation and we didn't want the waitress attending us. I told the manager You hVe employees that request to meet her after her shift is over at 3pm to fight. She couldn't take corrections of her actions but instead escalated it by carrying on to the tables of customer carrying on our incident. When the food was ready she purposely handed my husband his food knowing she was told I didn't want to continue her being my waitress. Ate last night at this restaurant and ordered tamales and charro beans. Beans were good but the tamales had hardly any meat and the cornmeal was mussy at best. like not being cooked very good. I love everyone of these restaurants! The food is outstanding! But this was my first time in this restaurant. And I will never ever go back. The service was horrible, we had to ask twice for chips. The waitress was very rude and deliberately would not service our table. She stood at the table next to us talking a customer. The china springs location is awesome!! Love all the workers!
