Taqueria el Rorro is a taco truck located behind Wendy's, in a dirt lot next to the MoneyGram shop. Their menu offers tacos filled with your choice of al pastor, barbacoa, carnitas, carne asada, chorizo, and lengua, a well as fried fish and grilled chicken plates. The hubs and I stopped by, and we tried the al pastor, carnitas, carne asada, and the chorizo tacos - the al pastor was a bit too salty and was just okay; wasn't a fan of the carne asada, as it was a little bland and there were some tough pieces throughout the chunks; the chorizo was salty, but it didn't have any off flavor that I usually find it having, and it was super savory; the star of the meal was the carnitas, as it was it was more stewed and super tender and juicy! I recommend in having these tacos right away, because who gets their tacos to go?! You don't want the shells to get soggy! They have a housemade tomatillo salsa, which was a good complement to the tacos. Staff were friendly, and there are tree trunks in the shaded tend area where you can wait for your food; there is another tend down a few steps with a couple of tables so you can dine al fresco. Overall the food is not bad. I went with the carne asada tacos and you get three for a little over $8. Compared to other taco stands/trucks this is a bit steep but I guess since it is near Waugh Chapel it is justified. Sarcasm right there. The menu is small mainly consisting of tacos, so pas, and burritos. I mentioned a bit earlier that I went with the carne asada tacos. They were cooked nicely and very tender. At times the meat can be tough at some places but not the case here. Very flavorful with the right amount of seasoning and of course cilantro on top. Yes I gave it three stars despit having good food but I think it is a bit overpriced for you get. I will also tell you that if you decide to come here the only way to get here is the entrance/exit on 3 North. You will risk your life for these Tacos. EVERY SINGLE DAMN TIME. Lol $2.50 or 3 with cilantro and onions/ each Large portions and you only really need 3 or 4 tacos to filler up. 5 if you are starving and you didnt eat breakfast like me and your eyes are bigger than your belly. Hehehe I love the al pastor which is a pineapple and pork mixture, carne asada grilled steak, chorizo spicy sausage and sometimes barbacoa which is more a pot roast. I avoid carnitas and barbacoa because they are wetter and the juices make everything soggy so by the time you get home, youre gonna need a fork. What can ya do? Ive told so many people about this taco truck but it has alluded many. Whats the problem you say? Location location location. This food truck is located on a dirt patch between Wendy's and the 7-11on rt3 in Crofton. You cannot access it from 3 south but you can SEE it from rt3 south. This is important cause if you cant see it, no use of you risking your life. Wait till the next day and try again. You have to go up to the light and bust a U turn (least risky), turn by Royal Farms (moderately risky depending on the time of day) or my personal fave : turn by the Wendy's and clutch your pearls and butt cheeks together trying to merge into traffic quickly but not so fast that you miss the turn and have to turn into 7-11 and try again. You'd think when they built the new potbelly you could access their parking lot and walk to the food truck, but on closer inspection, theres a black fence there that you cannot clumb over, under or around. Ask me how i know lol. ALSO this taco truck is normally there in the afternoon til 6, except when they dont, and you can see them packing it up around 5pm. read more

After searching high and low for a taco truck that serves these simple, yet delicious edible delights we found our new go-to establishment. When one is reminded of what good food is, that overpriced, artisanal crap that winds up costing $14 is left in the wayside's of ones mind. I got the #1 like everyone suggested; it was overflowing with pork, almost too much for the tortilla to pocket. I asked for extra radish and they delivered (see pic). The cucumber is a nice surprise, as it soaks up the grease. Super flavorful bites. Guys. Yes. Yes, guys! Finally. Authentic tacos in the Odenton/Gambrills/Crofton area! I'm writing this as I finish my 5th taco which I totally intended to save for later. The plan was to eat 3 and save 2. I regret nothing. As others have mentioned, it's in the middle of route 3 between Wendy's and Pizza Hut going northbound. There's a little covered area with picnic tables if you want to eat there. Service was very friendly and fast. It's family run, with the son taking orders and mom doing the cooking. If you want the full menu, go earlier in the day. I went after 4:30 on a Saturday and they were out of empanadas and some of the taco offerings. I got 1 carne asada, 1 chorizo, 1 barbacoa, and 2 al pastor tacos. They were all served in thick, homemade flour tortillas which were excellent and came topped with the traditional cilantro and onion with lime slices, cucumber, radish, and salsa on the side. The tacos were all fantastic but the al pastor really stood out for me. The chunks of pork had a really nice crust on the outside yet were nice and tender inside. The flavor of the meat was outstanding. Savory and a bit smoky with a little kick of spice and pineapple. Definitely don't pass this place by as many times as I did before stopping. I frequent this taco truck at least twice a week. These tacos are the real deal! The tortillas are homemade. The meat is savory and delicious. They are simply topped with chopped onion and cilantro. If you're smart you'll park at the Wendy's and walk along the well worn patch instead of trying to park in their lot though as it's a nightmare to get out of but leaving Wendy's is super easy. I love me some Street Tacos and these are some of the freshest and best I've had. The Chorizo Tacos are my favorite. The owners are very friendly and all jump in to get your order out to you quickly. The food trailer is at eye level so you are able to see your food being prepaired every step of the way. You can also see how clean they keep the kitchen. I'm use to steet tacos coming from a grungy truck; I always believed that this was part of what made them tasty. I was wrong, because these are the best. They are also conveniently located. I have never sat around to eat on the tree stumps, but I may try it when it's warmer. I'm one of their regulars now. read more

This was seriously the BEST I've ever had after searching endlessly for food that compared to what I'm used to eating out on the west coast. Very hospitable and great service as soon as I walked up to this awesome food truck! Very reminiscent of my years living in Arizona where a food truck was my meal of choice when I had a craving.
