I would give zero stars honestly. Food was awful and overpriced at that. I ordered a Gordita made with steak, beans and cheese and a coke. It was a little over $10. Customer service not great. I'm surprised it was so expensive and when I opened my food container it just looked like slop. It was disgusting, barely any meat but a whole bunch of beans. It isn't a Gordita whatsoever. The DAILY line of cars finally drew my attention today. I picked up 2 Carne Asada tacos and let me tell you they were delicious! The hot sauce was equally as delicious and went perfectly with the tacos. The tortilla wasn't soaked with grease, the meat had no fat, and it was filled with both meat and veggies. Stopped by this spot on the way to Houston. I bought 2 platters for my family and the super nachos for myself- the advertised price in the drive thru was 9.25 for the super nachos. I ordered the nachos with carnitas; when it came time to pay they charged me 12 dollars. I asked why and the manager said the price increased but hadn't been changed yet on the menu PLUS there was an upcharge for carnitas (also not listed). Altogether the 2 platters and 1 super nachos came out to nearly 40 bucks, the food was decent but definitely not worth the price. Ever since I was little, my dad would wake up early Sunday morning and buy us all tacos before church. I always got barbacoa tacos. All of their tortillas are thick and homemade. They're usually really speedy on their orders. The customer service is alright. They always seem in a rush, but I don't blame them. The shack is mainly a drive through only, with the exception of two little tables upfront (think of Sonic). Their prices are pretty low too, which is always a plus. I'm pretty picky with my tacos, but today I decided to go adventurous and try something new. I got chorizo and egg, and chorizo and bean. The only reason this place is four stars is because of this order. THE CHORIZO IS A GREASE TRAP. I REPEAT, THE CHORIZO IS A GREASE TRAP. My tortilla was soaked in grease by the time I got to the end. It was completely orange. I couldn't even finish it. When I looked down at my foil, I saw a pool of grease that was at least up to mid-fingernail. For BOTH tacos. If you're in a big hurry call ahead and park along the curb to pick it up at the walk-up window, but the lone doesn't take too long.
