Of the couple of brunch spots I tried in town, this was my favorite. I ordered the Cornucopia with eggs over medium and substituted the home fries for fruit. The fruit was surprisingly good, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas with a light sprinkle of powdered sugar. A side of fruit can be pretty hit or miss when you substitute it at brunch, so I was pleasantly surprised. The eggs were cooked right, and the toast was fine. I opted for turkey bacon, though, and I'd recommend skipping it. It was pretty crispy and lacked much flavor. The standout was the cinnamon roll French toast. We ordered it to share with the table, and I highly recommend doing the same. It comes with two large cinnamon rolls that are soaked in egg batter and grilled French-toast style. It was top tier. I noticed several tables around us sharing the regular cinnamon roll as well, and those looked fantastic too. They also have a bakery counter inside with plenty of grab-and-go options. Frisco has so many great places to visit, and Highside is located right at the corner of one of the coolest streets of shops and restaurants--starting or ending your shopping with a beer is a must. Highside always has a great variety of beers, but also has coolers of ciders and non alcoholic options. They also have food available, but as I haven't eaten any, I won't review that here! But I do love the indoor and outdoor seating options--and the place is dog friendly!
