The issue on this visit was the service. When we got there, it was pretty empty, maybe 4 or 5 people sitting at the bar. The guy working behind the bar seated us, but then never brought menus, never brought water, and never came back to take our order. When my friend tried waving him down, he ignored us. Eventually another employee came in, and the bartender just told him, "Go take his order," without acknowledging us at all. I don't know if he was only working the bar that day, but he could have at least brought water, menus, or simply said someone would be right with us. Instead, the whole interaction came across as dismissive and unnecessary. Food was very good as always, but service matters too. Based on this visit, I'd call it 3 stars overall.

My husband tried to make a suggestion about moving the large truck that was in front of the restaurant blocking the breeze from coming (remember the broken AC...and this is a hot August afternoon) but upon telling our server he felt dismissed. He was told that the AC was broken and supposedly to be fixed soon, but she didn't acknowledge his suggestion to move the vehicle to let some air in--it's disappointing that when a customer that takes the time to provide genuine feedback to be left feeling dismissed instead of appreciation for the feedback. Being the cheapest items to make i would think they would give you more so you would be really full. I just wish had more of it cause it's really good and compliments the enchiladas and relleno. The hubs and I had just finished dinner and were actually headed to a dessert spot in the same plaza, but when we saw their taproom, we decided to get drinks instead and I'm so glad we did! We stopped by around 8 PM on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, it wasn't overly busy and there were plenty of open tables! The bartender mentioned they had a huge rush during the day and it had calmed down for the evening, which she said is pretty uncommon for a weekend night. We ended up getting two flights: Flight 1: Lilikoi Cider, Guava Lava Cider, and their rotating seasonal flavor, Lychee Hard Seltzer. All so tropical and well-balanced! Flight 2 (Hard Seltzers): Mango & Li Hing Mui, Mojito, and Ube Blu Bae. The flight pours are super generous, you get three 5-oz pours per flight! Every single flavor hit the spot, but the Lilikoi and Lychee were total standouts. Huge shoutout to Brett, who checked us out at the end! He was super nice and gave us the breakdown on all their awesome weekly specials. We'll definitely be coming back during the week to check those out and try some of their food menu next time!
