These guys are awesome highly recommended them the empanada is great and delicious the vinegar sauce with it makes it even more flavorful they have 2 locations we went to the Waipahu location that so busy only had empanada everything else was sold out

Stumbled upon this truck while getting some coffee. I was like something smells familiar, the smell when I was visiting Vigan in the Philippines Iykyk. I had to get one for myself and the wifey. They were made fresh and of best enjoyed fresh!! The flavor was there along with vinegar sauce on the side!!! For 6.50 each not bad as it made a good breakfast meal for us before we hit the outlet in Waikele!

Expect a wait but the wait is worth it. I was shocked to see such a low rating but it looks like most of them are due to the wait time. However, they make them to order, so what do you expect? You can't get them fresher, the filling was excellent. I had no idea what it was going to be but it had pork sausage, cabbage and egg with some other stuff. The vinegar sauce is perfect with it. 6.50 for one but it's huge and well worth the price

Really wanted to like this place because I like to support small businesses but from start to finish, experience was horrible... VERY UNORGANIZED is an understatement for what I saw/got today. Got there around 11:10. Was told to wait a few minutes because cashier was running an errand. Waited about 10-15 min when 'cashier' finally showed up. He barely greeted me. I ordered the "today's special Xpress" and Large pancit. The today's special xpress was to consist of 2 empanadas, 3 shanghai lumpia, 1 cascaron and a drink for $19. (The regular xpress consists of everything but the cascaron for $17). I was told to wait a few minutes till my order was ready. Waiting waiting waiting and finally around 11:55 my order was ready. Checked the contents and I was missing the cascaron so I asked where it was. The cashier responded with "the Xpress doesn't come with a cascaron" I promptly pointed out that the sign clearly states that it is included. Then he all of a sudden starts explaining that the cascaron for that special was pretty much being given out for "free" so that's why they don't have any cascaron today and that the sign shouldn't say that. So my question is WHY was I charged $19 for the Xpress that is supposed to include a cascaron when it wasn't available to begin with!? I forfeited the drink on this special because the only choices they had for drinks today was either a water or coke. Only 2 choices on drinks. Because I had already been waiting there for pretty much 45 mins and my family was waiting at home for me to bring home their lunch... I didn't have the patience to argue with the cashier so I just left without getting a refund but his customer service was nonexistent at best. Food Review: everything was crazy oily . Pancit had a weird texture. Some noodles were all stuck together in clumps, all broken noodles. Not mixed well. A lot of burnt black char pieces. Pork pieces were straight up fat. OILY! Flavor was ok but couldn't get pass how the noodles were all broken and sittin/drenched in oil. Portion was small for being the Large size. Shanghai Lumpia: OILY. Very small. Very light and crunchy with light flavor because of the lack of filling. Empanada: OILY. Filling was a very mushy weird texture and lacked flavor but was over salted. Threw majority of the food away... I wanted to support small business but unfortunately this is one place I won't be going back to support...

OMG. Went here on a recommendation from a friend. Ordered pancit and empanadas. OMG the empanadas are so hearty so crispy! Just like I remember them when I had them in Laoag in the Philippines! The pancit was also so tasty! Seasoned perfectly. This is a must stop for me when I'm in the area!

Do not recommend. Ordered empanadas & lumpia and all of em tasted BURNT. Wanted to love it but it's a hard no for me.

Dough was very thick, the egg was scrambled, the longanisa was placed on one side by the edge. I ordered 4, and all of it were the same. Taste burnt. For $5.50 a piece, i think its not worth it.

I chose the simple Shinramyun ya not the brightest choice on this humid day but didn't want something too heavy as it just need a bit of fuel to get me going and this spot was definitely on my list. Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. Thank you!

The service was sufficient (low contact - could be off-putting to some.) The food was cooked on the spot, at least, the fried part was. My thing is, I've had different preparations of both the lechon and sisig before. I have to say that the ones I got from home-cooked versions versus commercial versions are different (at least for me it has.) It seems as if the sisig and lechon were initially boiled to cook it thoroughly, then they fry it before they serve it to you to get that crispy feel from the skin. The thing is, the jello-like/slightly slimy texture of the fat leads one to believe that it was boiled first or at least not fried thoroughly. There's nothing wrong with boiling as long as the skin and fat come through as crispy. The skin was crispy, but the fat wasn't. Perhaps, they just need to fry it a little more. Other than that, if it was crispy throughout, I would've given it 5 stars. I'm looking forward to trying the other things on the menu like the beef pares.

It was almost 11am and it looked like all the trucks were closed, but fortunately, Dick's was open. It looked like they were only one of two or three that were. I decided on the lechon with pancit plate this time, since the Fried rice I got the last time was fairly bland. It was a good choice, as the noodles were flavorful, with lots of veggies. Unfortunately, the lechon was super salty this time. It was moist and the skin was veto crispy, but I could only eat a little at a time, due to the saltiness. I'm hoping this was a "one off", and they didn't change their preparation or recipe. I'll have to make sure by stopping by again to grab another order soon.

They're located on the corner and once you see a tent & smell bbq, you're at the right spot. This restaurant gave karinderia vibe to it! Karinderia is basically like those food stalls they have in the Philippines, where they have a bunch of dishes and you sit out to enjoy the food. Home cooked & affordable eats. They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). But next to the cashier, you could also find other fried dishes as well. So a little complicated. You also have the option to sit outside under the tent or inside the restaurant with AC. For this type of place, if you're dining in, you order & eat first then pay. Like any karindera. Overall, this place was VERY good & SUPER AFFORDABLE.
