We ordered at the counter and then sat at a table to wait for our order. We had a short wait because we came in on the earlier side of the dinner hour. We tried the bean and cheese pupusa, pollo asado and steak fajitas along with a couple of sodas. With tax and tip and because we paid with credit card it came out to over $70. Definitely on the pricier side, but all of our food was fresh and tasty, and the portions are large- we had plenty of steak and rice left. If you're not familiar with Salvadoran food, it's a lot more subtle in terms of flavors. Don't come in thinking of bold, in your face flavor. Perfect for people who are sensitive to spice. I believe this is the only Salvadoran spot on Oahu - happy we got to try it out!

I would have liked it better as a plate if they added black beans, cream and cheese on the side. The good thing is I could have ordered those as sides. My daughter in law loved the empanadas. I tasted it and it was better than I expected and it had mucho sabor (flavor). Curtido was not as hot(taste) For dessert we ordered horchata which was surprisingly amazing!!!!!! And the churros were even better! Hot, sweet and filled with yummy goodness! Bathroom is extra clean! No changing table. Pretty happy with this place. If you need Salvadorean food in Hawaii this will scratch your itch for it pretty good.

Been wanting to try this place. Finally decided to stop by since I was in the area…read more Ordered 2 beef Tacos. I was surprised at how small they were. A hearty eater would probably need four or five. Both wrapped together in foil. In fact, so small, that I told the guy at the window that I ordered two. Then he told me they're both wrapped together. He gave me both sauces - chili and green. The person I bought one of the tacos for didn't want hers after showing it to her. I must say, the grounded beef had a dry taste and texture. I added the green sauce hoping it would liven up the tacos. The tortilla shell was very soft too. Topped with some cilantro and onions (chopped small to my liking). Overall, the tacos turned out like how I expected. NOT a "Wow" first impression. I gave this place a 4-star rating because I'd go back. I used to like beef tacos (before I discovered SOH's Birria Tacos). Service was pleasant and cordial. A few people had ordered before and after me. They're located in Pearl City Shopping Center where Long's Drugs is and on the left as you walk up to Ben Franklin. This place keeps busy mainly because of the location - lots of people walking around. Oh, my beef tacos was only $3.00 since it was "Taco Tuesday." I looked at my receipt and realized that.

With the number of people we had it was a bit tight, but we made it work and the energy was great. As a vegan, it can be challenging finding something that fits the bill, but I was able to enjoy the chips and pico de gallo and the portion was huge, so I ended up sharing with my table. Despite our large group, everyone's food came out quickly, which was impressive. The servers were really kind and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. There was also plenty of free parking, which is always a huge plus. Everyone kept talking about how good and authentic the food was, (and how large the portions were!) so I'd say if you have a hankering for Mexican food come and give them a try and let us know how it was! It's only open on Tuesday and Saturday so that's one of the reason we didn't try it earlier. It's from 11am to 6pm. Sometimes I seen a line but today, Tuesday around 11am, there was no line. My husband had quesadillas ($13.50) and carne asada taco ($3). He loved it. I had same taco but to me the meat was little hard (little dry). Maybe cooked too long? But the salsa was delicious. I love it. Spicy level medium was on spicy side. If you like mild spicy it'll be too spicy. If you love spicy this place is for you. The lady at the truck taking orders was friendly and nice. It's a red truck by Wendy's Waipio so very easy to spot.

I have crossed paths with this food truck multiple times, but haven't had the chance to order from there, given that they only open on two days. I figured it's time I give the place a try. So...moments after I finished work, I made a quick dash to the food truck in hopes they were ready to make orders again, and they were ready that time. I haven't ate a California Burrito since Frida's in 2022, and I gotta say, I also haven't had one with Carne Asada beef and chicken. Out of the many times I've had a California Burrito on this island, this might probably be the best one I've enjoyed so far. For $15, this is truly a nice deal. Just the right amount of fries in ratio to the meats, guac, salsa, onions, and cilantro. Most importantly, did a good job listening to what I wanted in terms of order. I ordered mine without sour cream and cheese, which might have changed the experience a bit differently for me. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. For a place that does Mexican food and is right next to Wendy's, they really did a great job. 10/10 Would recommend, but plan carefully since they only open on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Nice area where you can wait under the shade with the roosters! Currently they only offer spicy or mild Carne asada burritos & quesadillas. Sorry Fran... no chicken yet, but he plans to expand as his dream is to have a brick and mortar restaurant. Today I bought a mild and a spicy burito. They take cash and card, but his phone overheated and the woman in front of me couldn't get her charge to go through. Luckily, I had my emergency cash on hand. There was no line when I parked, but when I came out,of my appointment, the line was fairly long as a Queen's employee had pre-ordered 12 burritos as a standing Tuesday order. He moves fast and broke down the line quickly. Today he was training a young man to assist him. Another hospital employee said they look out the windows to check how long the line is. I ordered one spicy and one mild burito to try. The person with the mild burito said it was spicy. I sampled a bite and found it had nice heat and flavors. Lol the "S" on the foil wrapper to designate Spicy was mis-labeled! I found the flavors of the burito was very yummy! The mild burito is also tasty, but will order a spicy next time! The burito was one of the best I have had! The burritos traveled back to the office nicely as was still warm!
