    Three Taco Plate
    Nick P.

I'm not sure why the rating is so low for this place. We went on NYE around 7:20 PM and this place saved us. We had a reservation at Lazy Dog and they didn't even have a table for us at our reservation time. Luckily, Taqueria Invicto was open and and plenty of empty tables. We ordered our food at the two kiosks and our food came shortly after. This isn't the most authentic Mexican food but it did suffice. I ordered the 3 taco combo with refried beans and elotes and a pineapple drink. The meats were decent, nothing was tough or chewy. I added some sauce from the station to enhance the flavors. The elotes has a bit of heat to them but not bad. I liked how they used real pineapple in the drink. Service was very friendly. I'll give them a 5 star rating because we were able to receive our food, finish, and had plenty of time before our next activity.

Did you know that Taqueria Invicto has 3 locations? Naperville, Oak Brook, and Vernon Hills. We had lunch at their Oak Brook location. The food is delicious, the drinks are very refreshing Highlights of the meal were the Quesabirria Tacos, their Papas Especial (a combination plate with plenty of food), Churro Shake, and Hirchata Cold Brew. Try the Grande Plate if you want to taste a variety of their food. With every meal they serve homemade tortillas, rice, beans and chips. Everything was really delicious and we will definitely be back again

I'm in love! With? My husband, yes, but also with the Quesabirria Tacos from Taqueria Invicto! We visited their location in Oakbrook, and boy was our food delicious! Who doesn't like homemade tortillas , rice, and beans and chips with every meal? We started off with their Papas Especial, and this was surprisingly good. There is so much food in this dish that it could be considered a full meal. We suggest splitting an order of this just like we did. Then we had Camarones (shrimp), AL Pastor (pork), tacos, and a Quesabirria plate. Both the shrink and pork tacos were very good, but we loved the quesabirria tacos. The meat was very moist, and the dipping sauce was excellent. We also had a Grande Plate with 1 taco, 1 vampiro, 1 sope, rice, beans, and chips. An excellent choice if you want a little variety. To drink, we ordered a Churro shake (really delicious) and a Horchata cold brew (refreshing and tasty). For dessert, we picked up a couple of El Pinguino Paletas that were flavorful and refreshing. We definitely recommend that you go to Taqueria Invicto at any of their 3 locations, Naperville, Oakbrook, and Vernon Hills.

A good friend of mine invite me here on a lunch date. The inside of this place is very nice. I'm a huge fan for some good authentic Mexican Food. When my friend suggested Mexican Food, I was excited about trying this place out. It was my first time hearing about this place. I was truly disappointed and wasted my money on this place. The food was terrible and lack flavored. I ordered the steak tacos with a side of beans and rice. We didn't even finish our food, which pissed me off even more to haved wasted my time and money.

The $3 Margarita specials was a great deal. BUT it was too sour. I can't finish the whole glass. Oh well!

Got takeout from here and it was okay. I had the Quesabirria plate and they forgot the consume which is a pretty integral part of that dish. The tacos themselves were fine, not the best birria, but okay. Elote, queso dip, and everything was fine but nothing to write home about. I will say it was filling and I did like the tortilla chips.

Decided to try this place after trying their food from a work event that had their take out. Location, convenient in a strip mall like area so plenty of parking. This is not a reservation type of place, it's more like a first come first serve fast food like seating. You order at one of the self serve kiosks and grab your food when they call your number. You can see the kitchen from your seats so you know how they prepare food, etc. Ordered the 2 taco dinner which comes with rice and beans, tortilla chips, a roasted pepper (I think it was a serrano) chicken and al pastor tacos. Tortillas are hand made in house, those were so good. The chicken was good, the al pastor could've been better. It didn't seem like the type of al pastor that's cooked on the vertical rotisserie thing at least I didn't see one. They have a salsa bar which is good, you can pick your own salsas to try. Drinks: they do have a bar and offer some basics like margaritas, palomas, micheladas and beer. In our group we each ordered a margarita, paloma and michelada. The drinks were just okay, definitely not made with fresh ingredients and not the quality you would expect at a sit down restaurant with a full bar and bartender. The staff was friendly and welcoming, super helpful when we asked for some extras as well. Overall, good place for fast food Mexican place but not the place if you want a nice sit down dinner.

Loaded fries were so good honestly that's all I would get next time and a drink nothing was wrong with the other food it was very good as well but the loaded fry's were the star of the show! It was very pretty inside and clean and I enjoyed my meal!

Our hotel was only a 10 minute walk from Pop Mart so my friends and I knew we had to drop by. This store is a lot larger than ours in San Diego so there was ample space to walk around and I didn't feel super pressured by others. The team here greeted us right away and asked if we needed a shopping bag, I was only getting one and I knew having a shopping bag would definitely cause me to add more. They had so many options for Cry Baby I really want them all but only chose one. Obviously they're blind boxes so I ended up opening it in store and immediately latching it to my purse. Again there were so many options, I even saw the tempura shrimp Labubu ipod case. I would have snagged it by my friend bought it for me for my birthday. If you're in Chicago and shopping I'd definitely drop by here and pick up a little trinket instead. The prices do range depending on what you purchase but I think mine was $32? So worth it for me.

It was really nice to enjoy all the attractions and the lights without having to fight people for space. It was quite easy to take photos of all the decorations too. I paid for entry and ice skating, and while I'm not much of a skater myself, I had a nice time on the rink! If you're a more distinguished skater, you might want to bring your own skates, but I have a feeling you'd be doing that anyway! The bumper cars were surprisingly funny and I had a good time figuring out the control configuration that would let me optimize rear-ending my sister as much as possible. The things they have on sale, nutcrackers, candies, hats and sweaters, were surprisingly well priced. The food and drinks were also well priced. In Fulton Market, at a pop-up, you become a little cynical and expect insane pricing but it actually was quite fair. I picked up some cute cookie tins as a last minute gift. All in all, the Jack Frost pop-up was a lovely surprise and with its excellent location in Fulton Market, you have plenty of dinner options for later! I do highly recommend a weeknight to avoid crowds!

The space is a decent size, though the bold zig-zag floor pattern can feel a little busy. The hanging plants are a great touch, and I loved the stainless steel counter paired with the open kitchen concept. The menu has a ton of options, which made it hard to decide what to eat. They offer a wide variety of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, burrito bowls, plates, Mexican hot chicken, and sides. I ended up ordering the chicken nacho burrito without tomatoes or sour cream ($9.99). The burrito was very satisfying and packed with tortilla chips, rice, beans, queso, Chihuahua cheese, guac sauce, cilantro, and onions. I do wish there had been a bit more guacamole and queso inside, but the flavors were still well-balanced and everything was seasoned and cooked nicely. I also LOVE the self-serve sauce counter they have! Always makes a nice touch when I can try and choose as many sauces as I want. I also ordered a side of elote ($5.50), and it was excellent. The balance of lime and cheese was spot on, and the portion size was generous for the price. I highly recommend it, although one of my friends was not as big of a fan because she found the flavor smoky. One of my friends ordered the quesabirria plate ($17.99) and enjoyed it as well. The plate meals come with a generous amount of food because you get rice, beans, and tortilla chips on the side. Overall, this was a great first visit, and I am already looking forward to coming back to try more items on the menu.

I ordered the homemade tortilla soup, and fair warning... it's HUGE! It comes with all the fixings on the side which I absolutely loved -- fresh avocado slices, onions, cilantro, cheese, sour cream, and freshly cut limes so you can customize each bite.
