Best tamales around - homemade and they come straight out of the steamer. Great price by the dozen, too. They are always nice and helpful there, too. This place is seriously amazing!! We got a steak burrito, shrimp tacos, one chicken, one pork green tamales, and chips and guac. Everything was so yummy! The guy who picked up the phone was very nice as well and patient when ordering. I hate the taste of cilantro, and they accommodated me which was great. My partner loved the steak burrito and gave it a 9.1/10. I had the shrimp tacos, and I would give it a 9.2/10, they loaded the tacos with shrimp! I just wish there was a little bit more sauce! The tamales were also very very good. The chips and guac were tasty as well, even though I don't like cilantro, it wasn't overwhelming in the guac. Thank you Taco Villa for the amazing food! Was looking for an authentic quick serve Mexican place in the Elmhurst area and saw great reviews for Taco Villa. First, the cashier was great. Very friendly and welcoming. Our family had chicken tamales (finally a good tamale in the western suburbs), Chicken Burrito (huge, fresh, and one of the best around), Chicken Tacos (best we've had in the area), and a Chicken quesadilla (probably the best quesadilla I've ever had). Although the place is very unassuming, people were flowing in and out consistently and the food was great. New favorite place in the area and will definitely be our go to Mexican restaurant. I found Taco Villa by accident and am so glad I did! We ordered a few different things and everyone was able to try: Cali Burrito, Frito Rito, Guacamole with chips, the Villa Burrito and a couple of different tacos. All were outstanding! My favorite is the Cali, and even my S.O. thought it was incredible. The owners and all the others working were super friendly and would answer any questions they were asked. If you got the money to spend then you won't mind eating here. I got 4 tacos, my girl got 3 tacos, and her friend got a taco dinner. Plus 3 sodas (they are taxing). We paid 60 bucks, very pricey. Honestly I was a little disappointed because in the taco dinner, there was literally half a scoop of beans or hardly anything. But I understand that they were really busy. What can i say a or this place... the restaurant is a cute small spot with a few tables (right away you can tell it's going to be authentic and not a tasteless franchise) i showed up on a Thursday afternoon after work for their grand opening. Everyone inside was extremely nice and greet you with a welcoming vibe that you feel like you're walking into your family's house. The menu is your normal Mexican food ie. tacos, burritos, tamales etc. and for a reasonable price. I had steak and al pastor tacos. Now here is where my wows come in! The tacos were amazing! The flavor in the meats were Just perfect and just when i thought it couldn't get any better i added green salsa to them and it made it 10x better. The salsa has a good spice but doesn't overpower the food. The prices are very reasonable. If you want some authentic Mexican tacos for a good price I'd recommend trying this place. Wanted some tacos and saw this spot just opened a couple weeks back so decided to give it a try with my son. They have a few seats inside and a nice little patio outside. We got 3 different kinds of taco's, guac, chips and 2 diffferent tamales. Tacos were under $3 and super flavorful and filling, steak was very tender, al pastor was awesum super flavorful nice little bits of pina. The guac was super fresh, very creamy and super delicious.
