First time visiting Terrace Cantina, and it definitely won't be our last! I started with their horchata espresso martini, which was such a fun twist on a classic cocktail -- creamy, bold, and perfectly balanced. I always say that if the salsa is good, the rest of the meal should be too, and that theory proved true here. The salsa was fresh and flavorful, and everything that followed lived up to the test. I ordered the homemade tortilla soup, and fair warning... it's HUGE! It comes with all the fixings on the side which I absolutely loved -- fresh avocado slices, onions, cilantro, cheese, sour cream, and freshly cut limes so you can customize each bite. My husband went with the birria tacos, and he said the flavor was fantastic. My husband dislikes diced onions so he requested none on his tacos, they came out just as he requested with no issues. He also ordered the Jamaica (hibiscus drink) and loved it so much he had two. The restaurant was very busy, but the service never skipped a beat. Our server and another waitress working the dining room both kept checking in on us and made sure we were taken care of. Looking for a different experience while back in town and did I. Terrace Cantina is a neighborhood restaurant that anyone staying in the local hotels wanting Mexican food should try. Sat at the bar and had a jalapeño margarita which was one of the best I have had. The service was great and talked to locals at the bar. I felt welcome while eating a great dinner. The guac and chips were fresh and the chicken Tinga enchiladas were excellent. Salsa came in squeeze bottles and would have rather have a bowl but in fairness I did not ask. On May 5th, my son and I made our first visit to Terrace Cantina, and I must say, the food did not disappoint. I tried the Al Pastor tacos, while my son opted for the steak fajitas, and both were excellent. We started with chips and salsa, which were fresh and a nice addition to our meal. We were there this past weekend and there is no true person to seat you and maybe that is the issue....yet someone did bring us menus. The chips were good but the standard salsa is extremely mild - so definitely ask for the bottles of salsa. Those had some good kick! For entrees - we got the chorizo burrito bowl and the shrimp diablo. Both dishes were really good - and the diablo is very spicy so be sure you can handle it if you order it. My husband loved it! Yesterday, I dined for the first time at this 2 month old establishment. I ordered the flautas, Guacamole, and queso fundido with Chorizo for my appetizers. Also, ordered 2 steak tacos. Everything from start to finish, including the bar service was EXCEPTIONAL. The owner (Edgar) introduced himself. He provided some background information about the restaurant - additional features he seeks to implement such as live music and healthy eating options (salads). Edgar and his team made my entire dining experience as great as it gets. I look forward to returning so that I may enjoy more of their delicious items and entrées. I dined here on Saturday 02/28/26. I would have given it 1 star if it was not for the food. I am keen on service and the service was not genuine. We walked in to search ourselves. The waitress came to our table and took our order. 10 minutes later a family walked in and sat at a table. They received their food way before ours and it was steaming hot. Another gentleman walked in and sat at the bar, he too received his food before we received ours. I then asked the waitress where was our food and she proceeds to say it is coming. We only ordered tacos while I see the other table has ordered Quesabirria Tacos amongst other things. My friend who I was with asked what did I want to do? I told her I can leave after waiting 30-45 minutes for food. As soon as I said that the waitress comes to the table with our food. 2 young women leave the restaurant after they had completed their meal they proceed to tell the young ladies to thank you and have a good day.
