    Amazing tequila, service and experience!

We've been here before and it is always delicious. They have such a good variety of tequilas and the food fits the spot. If you want a place you can count on for delicious food and that has a great spectrum of tequilas, you HAVE to go here! I didn't take a picture of the food but it all was completely worth it!

First time visiting Terrace Cantina, and it definitely won't be our last! I started with their horchata espresso martini, which was such a fun twist on a classic cocktail -- creamy, bold, and perfectly balanced. I always say that if the salsa is good, the rest of the meal should be too, and that theory proved true here. The salsa was fresh and flavorful, and everything that followed lived up to the test. I ordered the homemade tortilla soup, and fair warning... it's HUGE! It comes with all the fixings on the side which I absolutely loved -- fresh avocado slices, onions, cilantro, cheese, sour cream, and freshly cut limes so you can customize each bite. My husband went with the birria tacos, and he said the flavor was fantastic. My husband dislikes diced onions so he requested none on his tacos, they came out just as he requested with no issues. He also ordered the Jamaica (hibiscus drink) and loved it so much he had two. The restaurant was very busy, but the service never skipped a beat. Our server and another waitress working the dining room both kept checking in on us and made sure we were taken care of. Already looking forward to coming back -- the shrimp à la diabla is definitely next on my list!

Went with our friends who recommended this place to us and it was great and the food was delicious. We met the owner Edddy from my friend Tony who lives in the area. Service was excellent, [[HIGHLIGHT]]place was bright and played some lively atmosphere music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is plenty on the strip mall, Everyone ordered Margaritas and it was very good, then chips and salsa was plenty , We all ordered Ala Carte of different tacos and also some shrimp Ceviche's, overall will try again if in the area for some more Mexican food!

Looking for a different experience while back in town and did I. Terrace Cantina is a neighborhood restaurant that anyone staying in the local hotels wanting Mexican food should try. Sat at the bar and had a jalapeño margarita which was one of the best I have had. The service was great and talked to locals at the bar. I felt welcome while eating a great dinner. The guac and chips were fresh and the chicken Tinga enchiladas were excellent. Salsa came in squeeze bottles and would have rather have a bowl but in fairness I did not ask. Will for sure go back.

I love this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor area has tables in the shade during lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The ground beef enchiladas with salsa verde are delicious. The rice and beans taste excatly as they should at a Chicago area taqueria. My wife likes the carne asada tacos. There's some chewy meat but there always is at taco shops. The frozen strawberry margarita is like a smoothy (she'd try a non-frozen version next time). Not much liquor but refreshing. Same for the mojito. The servers are always pleasant and the kitchen can be a little slow, but worth the wait.

The service was 100 % and their torta was 100% delicious. Will definitely visit come again when I'm in the area.

    Great music too!

Amazing food! Fresh mole, homemade by a local from Puebla Mexico. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Family feel and great additive free tequila options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a hidden gem for sure. A must visit!

You have a choice of queso or guac as a starter, both are small. Chips and salsa are also gratis. After that you have a choice of two items from a list of about 8 or 9 items. I had the chicken quesadilla and tostada. Upgrade to add bean and rice for a buck. My colleagues fish taco wasn't worth the extra $2 according to her. I thought everything was fresh and delicious. More lunch than both of us needed, I'd pass on the rice/beans in the future. Service was good. Attentive but everything was her favorite on the menu, not very helpful. Seating in indoors or out. They have TVs for the World Cup and a full bar. Highly recommend for lunch and we will be back.

My server was pretty slow and seemed distracted, sometimes gone for 20 minutes at a time. I basically had to lock eyes with him just to get his attention. He was a younger guy, so hopefully he tightens that up. Also, if someone notes in their reservation that they're bringing a baby and a car seat, it would make more sense to seat them at a booth instead of in the middle of the restaurant, especially when booths are open. Overall, I'd say it was about a 7/10 experience.

Holy smokes. This BBQ joint is serving up some DELICIOUS food in the Chicago suburbs. Not sure why…read moreI've overlooked this spot for so long. Is it the best BBQ you'll ever have? Probably not. But it's pretty darn close. Service is solid. Atmosphere is okay (pretty much what you'd expect from a spot like this). Average "BBQ joint" vibes. Five BBQ sauce options are provided at every table, allowing for an "unlimited sauce experience." My two favorites were the Chicago and the Alabama. PRO TIP: Put a little bit of both onto your meal item for the ultimate flavor combination. Got their "Slider Combo" with one slider made with pulled pork, another made with smoked chicken, and the third made with beef brisket. The sliders with pulled pork and beef brisket were BANGING. Unfortunately, the smoked chicken had an off-putting texture. Their BRIOCHE BREAD is fantastic. Soft and tasty. Add a little bit of the pickled onions in your sliders (with one or two of their BBQ sauces) and you'll be set. For our side, we selected the Mac and Cheese, which was pretty good (but not great). Their LOADED MAC was an absolute show-stopper. Topped with 18-hour smoked beef brisket, pickled onions, and jalapeños, it's hard NOT to love it. This is a must-have item on your table. Top it with the Chicago Sauce for an even tastier (and saucier) experience. Skip their Honey Cheddar Cornbread (which was average, at best) and get their Smoked Beans with Pork & Brisket instead (as a side) -- they're juicy with a hint of (subtle) sweetness. My FAVORITE part of the meal was the FREE dessert (yes, you read that right) offered with every meal -- COBBLER. Their flavors change monthly. This month, it was a peach-flavored cobbler, which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Genuinely the tastiest part of the meal. Served fresh, their warm, soft, tasty cobbler was easily the best dessert I consumed all week. Blackwood BBQ should be on everybody's radar as the "go-to neighborhood BBQ spot."

Be…read morewarned- the restaurant is next to a Costco and we were there during peak hours, so parking was a little rough. We ate outside and it was pretty quiet and well kept. I had the Elotes Smashburger and was impressed with the quality of the meat and there was a good amount of all the toppings. The quality of the meat was great along and everything was fresh. The service was pretty quick. I added fries and was pleasantly surprised with the amount I got and the fries were really well seasoned. Only thing that was slightly surprising was when you "make it a combo" to add fries, you still don't get a drink. The prices were a bit steep, but I read online that when you eat at their locations they donate a meal to school kids. We read online that you get complimentary cobbler but it wasn't advertised anywhere, so when we were done eating we asked about it. No fuss about offering it up once we asked. The cobbler of the month was s'mores and it was so good! Once again had great quality and decent sized portion. There are multiple locations and I will definitely be open to going to other locations and trying other menu items again based on this experience.
