Staff is no where to be found. Sat down and waited 10mins before they acknowledged us, once they did it took 20mins to get our drinks. It was like we were invisible. This eatery puts a different twist on burgers. My friend got the Cholulita special cemita (burger with Breaded chicken chorizo, ham, chop and egg) and a taco de tripas. He enjoyed his meal. I ordered a traditional torta with carne asada and taco de chile relleno. The food was prepared fresh and the ingredients were good. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. The Food was Ok. They can use better salsa As we were there, this place turned into a nightclub apparently, and the gentleman kept saying there would be a band playing. My husband and I waited for the band, and then a gentleman approached us after we had to spend quite a bit of money there and it asked us to pay our entrance of $15 each, but we were already in the facility, which made no sense. Go. Here. Seriously, we took a chance and LOVED it. There was only 1 car in the lot so we had a lot of attention but as we sat and ate more showed up so expect it to get busy as the night goes on. Also the phone was non stop ringing so I think they do a really good take out/pick up/delivery. There is a stage and signs for karaoke. Lots of signs were in Spanish so keep your phone handy or bring your favorite amigo because.... the dishes are huge! We were going to pass the appetizers because well, $17 for queso fundido?? Hell yes! Picture a 10 inch plate of gooey cheese topped chorizo and sprinkled with diced tomatoes and onions and cilantro. I would have paid double. Sorry no pic - it didn't stand a chance! Our dinners were delicious! We all had steak and no one complained of it being dry or overdone - a few little pieces of chewiness but that was it - nothing we couldn't manage. There was plenty of seating at the bar but no one ever sat there. The table space was nice and roomy - a nice outdoor patio area too! I can't wait to go back when summer is in full swing and try out the bar and patio area during a karaoke night (check for a cover charge though - like I said previously, the signs are in Spanish)! So my mom and my dad came here to eat and they came here since they opened mostly because my mom is from Puebla Mexico but on 08/13/21 they went and the server told them to choose where they wanted to sit so they did and then proceeded to order after a while of waiting the server then came back and told my parents that they had to move to a table by the restrooms because she needed to sit another couple down where they were sitting and my parents then asked if she can choose another a table because she didn't feel comfortable eating by the restrooms. The server rudely told my mom that NO that they had to be move to that table and when they refused to move to that table they refused service to them. The food is amazing!! If you happen to be in the area, grab a bite here. Great food and great prices. My only suggestion to the owners would be to change the sign outside. The most visible light up sign outside is for the slots they have inside. I think they would have better street traffic by changing that sign to let everyone know it is a restaurant over a place that just has slots. read more

Oh my Lord hands down the best bread chicken Cemitas torta in Chicago . Best torta period. The flavor and love they put in making these is out of this world. I called the location directly because I had questions about their menu, woman picked up and half way through my question, she hung up on me. Thought maybe my connection was spotty, but she did it again. I don't know if she did it because she couldn't speak English very well, but regardless she delivered poor customer service. One of the cooks comes to our table with a broom and dustpan looking for something under our table but doesn't say anything to us. This couple across from us is telling him something fell from the ceiling, I look down at the floor trying to see if maybe it was a decoration or something but I see a small black mouse running under our table by my feet. What a pleasant surprise! My daughter had just moved to the area and hadn't found the go to taco joint yet. Well I found it for us and it's not just for tacos! I'm usually just a taco and burrito guy unless the place is geared towards a particular specialty but WOW! My wife had the pozole and I had the birria (beef only, no goat available) which were awesome. My daughter had carne asada tacos which were huge and tender! However, everything was super spicy, I wish one of the salsas were a little bit milder but I gritted my teeth and took it. I also had tacos al pastor and cabeza which were very tasty. My new ATF go to Mexican joint. This place is awesome!!! EVERYTHING is excellent here. My go to is 3 tacos. 1 el pastor (best I've ever had) 1 grilled chicken ((just awesome) and 1 el carbon cooked medium rare (absolutely perfect) . The chicken Milanese torta or Cemitas are amazing. All top notch quality ingredients. You can taste the difference. You might spend a couple extra bucks here, but it is so worth it. This place definitely raises the bar for all Mexican restaurants. Shrimp empanadas (WOW) they are great. Everyone I bring here falls in love with the joint. I'm so happy that this place survived the BS lock downs. This place is a hidden gem. read more

After a few drinks, they'll start charging you extra, hoping you won't notice. when i called out the bartender for stealing from me, he pretended it was just an honest oversight, that their register just randomly started charging 2 dollars extra for no apparent reason. an extremely untrustworthy staff and a terrible, unwelcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a uninvited guest as opposed to a valued customer. read more
