Four tacos before getting unwrapped!
Alan G.

Literally right off the freeway and the rail line, Taqueria Jaguar's provides a terrific lunch spot as a food truck with an extended covered dining area which was a nice relief from the sun. Service at the food truck was friendly and pretty efficient, and they had all of the traditional offerings for tacos and other options. We definitely enjoyed the grilled flour tacos with typical fillings including well seasoned barbacoa beef, tender chicken fajitas, shredded beef and mildly spiced al pastor along with chopped cilantro and onions. The mild salsa was also good as well as the accompanying lime wedges. The fried plantains were an interesting and delicious treat and were more of a dessert with the sweet crema complemented by queso. Overall, an excellent experience and would gladly come back to explore the rest of their menu.

The food is and always has been amazing. The customer service and the family who own this business are amazing. I love the atmosphere and ambiance of this establishment. Give it a try if you're in the Round Rock area..

Migas Taco

This Taqueria is fine for the prices but nothing special. The migas had soggy tortilla chips. The Al Pastor was dry and lacked flavor. Their verde salsa had too much lime but a nice heat. Their rojo salsa had a nice smokey punch to it. I wish I could give them a better review since their service was prompt and it seems like a nice family business. I'll give them another try one day.

Not good breakfast tacos at all, burnt eggs. Also overpriced. $4.12 for a bacon egg and cheese that's overcooked.

Torta de la barda was good. Solid place to eat. Very nice staff. Location is within a food truck park.

Our server couldn't have been more friendly and outgoing. She was swamped (it was prom night with lots of formally clad students dining in) but never broke a sweat, never made us feel rushed or unattended and had a big smile from ear to ear throughout. I can't remember her name but I believe she is one of the owners daughters - and she's a real asset to the restaurant. My husband had a combination platter with all the favorites - enchiladas, taco, and a tamale, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I opted for something that was a little less---well, you know----but when in Rome---don't eat the spinach and mushrooms----get the tacos, savor the enchiladas. They know what they're doing and next visit I will lean into their expertise, enhanced by another Mexican martini. Buen provecho!

Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill is a great, casual spot in Round Rock to grab some Tex Mex classics…read more.. it isn't going to blow your mind but you can fill up on the complimentary chips and salsa, cheese enchiladas and quesadillas, and plenty of rice and beans. It's a little overpriced for what it is but it gets the job done. FAST FACTS: * Parking - lot out from of the building with plenty of spots * Happy Hour - couldn't find updated days and hours but they do have HH specials * Lunch specials from 11 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday SERVICE - We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Monday and they weren't busy at all (although it was Cinco de Mayo and they got busier as the night went on). We were seated right away and had complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table immediately (they're very mediocre). Our server, Fatima, made sure we had refills throughout the meal and the food came out quickly. PRICING - The total was $65.45 after tax ($4.99) but before tip for a Burros queso ($10.49), shredded chicken quesadilla ($14.99), Javier's plate ($17.49), and carne asada ($17.49). For basic Tex Mex, it seemed a little overpriced but the portion sizes are good. BURROS QUESO (6/10) - This is a basic chili con queso... it's topped with ground beef, guacamole, and pico but not much. I don't think I'd order this again because it isn't worth it for the price... I'd rather just order a small chili con queso. SHREDDED CHICKEN QUESADILLA (6/10) - It's a pretty standard chicken quesadilla served with shredded lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole. You do get plenty of shredded chicken inside! This is great to split as an appetizer or get as an entree. I'd order this again. JAVIER'S PLATE (6/10) - It's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled skirt steak had a nice flavor but is kinda hard to cut up and eat. You get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I probably wouldn't order this again because I'd rather try other things. CARNE ASADA (6/10) - Again, it's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled chicken breast is the same price as the diced skirt steak which doesn't quite make sense to me but you get a decent amount of sautéed onion, tomatoes, serano peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Again, you get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I'd order this again if I want to get in some veggies with my meal. This was my first visit to Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill and I probably won't rush to come back because there are other Tex Mex restaurants nearby that I prefer. It wasn't bad by any means, it just doesn't stand out (especially for the price). But, in a pinch, I'd stop by again if I was nearby and in the mood for Tex Mex.

Short of the story EVERYONE liked it!!!! This is a mind blowing shocker coming from our family. We got the large queso, my only minor complaint is that it's a little thin and it's like $14 but it was really good, we totally polished it off. Hubby got the combo fajitas, didn't have peppers but tons of caramelized yummy onions that we loved. Girls got the Mac n cheese which was a hit and the other got their chicken fingers. We also got the friend ice cream, which was just ice cream covered in Frosted Flakes but it was awesome, had honey, chocolate all the good stuff. Needless to say we found our new go to spot for Mexican!! It was clean, no wait, service was great, and everyone enjoyed their food. A win all the way around.

I ordered my traditional cheese enchilada plate. The serving was plentiful. The enchiladas were delicious. My son had the Santiago Burrito with Jalapeno Cream Sauce and other I believe our dinner guest had the street tacos, a regular dining choice for her, and possibly a number 3. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was busy, but the food was still fast and tasty. We will venture back on our next visit

For a Saturday afternoon it was pretty quiet. We were the only ones there so it was pretty silent. It seemed like they had reopened or something, seemed like most of the attention was in the back and not out front but they our server came by and dropped of some chips and salsa. I looked at the menu and it was very Texmex, so much so that I didn't feel any guilt whatsoever in ordering hard shell tacos. Since we already got the chips we decided to get their queso as well. The food basically all arrived at the same time and the queso was served in a small soup cup-TONs of their queso and since it was family, double dipping the queso into the salsa was not judged; pretty decent. My tacos were good-the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese were just kind of tossed on top and not in but I guess that's what I get for ordering hard shell tacos. I should have gone full Taco Bell and just gotten the beef, the shredded chicken was just ok.

The food was good, the service was somewhat good, and we had a fun time overall. They also have a nice back patio area where we were able to relax and listen to a rock cover band that was a lot of fun. My only real complaint is the plastic fork and knife. I know it seems like a small thing, but serving food that requires a knife and fork with a flimsy plastic utensil was kind of laughable and made eating my green chili enchiladas a little more challenging than it needed to be. Even with that minor issue, I'd happily come back for the drinks, live music, and laid-back atmosphere. It's a fun spot to spend an evening.

Solciedad is the reimagined version of the longtime Alcove Cantina, which reopened in April 2026 with a refreshed interior, revamped menu, and an expanded tequila and mezcal selection while keeping its role as a local nightlife venue. Sociedad is divided into three main areas...front, back and side all with different purposes. The front area looks primarily like a bar with side seating. You likely are in this section for a Tequila tasting or drink with conversation. The back room was more like a concert-like area with an open ceiling. You literally could see the stars from this section of the restaurant. I listened to some rhythm and blues and find the band to be smooth and sexy. However, my friends were in the last section, where a DJ was spinning Latin tunes. While it was fun to see my friends, it was totally slow boogie. The songs lasted too long, and we only heard a few songs that were familiar. I ordered a frozen Margarita, but they were out of Margarita. I have never been to a Mexican food restaurant that did not serve Margaritas. So, I then ordered some guacamole and chips, which I shared with my friends. After one set of music, we decided to leave the restaurant. Service was pretty good at the restaurant. Although our server was acting as server and bartender simultaneously. Also, there was no cover charge for Sociedad.
