    Chicken quesadillas
    John B.

Fast and friendly service. Two bartenders on duty during my visit both checked frequently. Margarita was very tasty and not overly sugary. The half order of the chicken quesadillas was a meal by itself... Cannot even imagine what a full order would look like Chips were crispy and it went well with the salsa that had lots of flavor impact just the right amount of punch First time I had dinedhere sitting at the bar but it was a good visit and I will return They do have some bar specials on some of the food items... A little bit small or portion, but I would imagine still has the same great flavor The TVs are not positioned particularly well, but hey, the food and drink make up for it

I went here for lunch today with my son. Actually, it was still the a.m., I found out that this place opens at 10 o'clock! Yay me! I got my traditional chicken enchiladas with no cheese and my son got crunchy tacos also with no cheese. We got a big bowl of chunky guacamole. That was amazing! Their chips are so good. They make their own tortillas! They have lunch specials Monday through Friday. Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated promptly, which is nice and we requested our favorite booth and they had no problem accommodating that request. Our server was prompt and kind. Our food was served quickly and just the right temperature. One thing that was new to me today is that I was offered to join a rewards club! All I had to do was write my phone number at the bottom of the ticket and now I am earning points, a.k.a. money to buy food at this restaurant. I absolutely love that! I've put a snip of the rewards site with this review, Should you want to join! I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. It is my favorite place to go for lunch with my son. I'm sure you will. Love it too!

The fajitas were AMAZING!!!!!!!! Both the steak and chicken were super juicy and tender. It stayed hot throughout our meal as well, without it being 'burn your tongue' hot. I also go the Crema Enchiladas. They were good, but the fajitas were the showstopper. The Mangonada margarita with chamoy and it was good! My mother got the pineapple mojito and it was fantastic. Our food came out super quick. It even came out before the drinks!

Very good value for what you get.

Excellent service! The beef fajitas were amazing as usual. The tortillas and accompaniments were great as usual. Everything here is consistent. The only thing I would change is a little more flavor in the rice and beans. They're a bit of an afterthought. Still enjoyed everything!

We picked this place at a whim on our last day of Christmas in Round Rock. It had fun décor and of course Christmas decorations up throughout from a tree to fake lights outside, see pictures. We arrived not long after it opened for the day so it was not crowded or busy. Our host and our sever were both very nice and the sever was friendly and fast. We started with a Mexican Martini and a small meltdown rita. Shana got coffee too as well as chips and queso with taco meat. The drinks were good, not weak or strong but tasty and the queso was pretty good. The chips were warm which given some thought is rare. Shana got the La Margarita Special and I got chicken fajitas for one. It is usually my go to the first time we try a Mexican food restaurant. They were very good, I was impressed. The tortillas were great and the chicken was flavorful and not tough. Both of which has happened elsewhere, I really enjoyed my meal. SHANA SAYS: The food was solid! I got a Mexican Martini that was super good! Queso was good Salsa was good Chips were food Good Also food Service was great It was our last meal in Round Rock for this staycation and we ended on a good one. Then we were headed back to home and real life so glad we had so much good food on this trip and finished up with a filling and good meal with good service.

Came here for an earlier Saturday dinner a couple weeks ago. My boyfriend and I each ordered a margarita- me a large house frozen and him a regular mango frozen. When our drinks came- I got a small rocks and him a small regular. It took forever for me to flag the waiter down and explain that our drinks were entirely wrong, and he kept insisting it was not and didn't seem to understand what I wanted to order. We then asked for a few more minutes to order and then...crickets. There were a couple people at the bar the waiter knew and for the rest of the night it was pretty much impossible to get him to pay us any attention. Then to top it off- he left the incorrect drinks on the bill! Service was severely lacking. We ordered chips and queso, my boyfriend got one of the combination platters and I got the chile relleño. Both plates were MASSIVE in terms of person. I really enjoyed my chile- the rice was not hot and kinda hard and unseasoned. My boyfriend said he enjoyed his. There are dozens of Mexican places like this in the greater Austin area and I've had better experiences and food at a lot so, it'll take a lot for me to return.

    Photo op for Christmas!

Great food! Good prices! Great service! What more can you really expect. The facility is older but has a charming layout. It is large enough for parties with plenty of parking. There is a bar and even outdoor dining. I had the La Margarita Salad. It was fresh, and the fajita chicken was nicely spiced. Delicious! There are many other options on the menu that I expect are just as delicious. Merry Christmas!

Stopped by here for dinner and was glad we did. This is a clean place with a nice ambience and great customer service. The food is really good here also. I had my usual "go to" dish, Cheese Enchiladas with Green sauce. The green sauce was tangy and fresh. The enchiladas warm, cheesy and gooey yummy yum. The Hubby had the Street tacos without Cilantro - which they left out as asked. He enjoyed these a lot. There was a green sauce that came out with them that was really delicious. The rice and beans were good. The chips and salsa fresh. The service was good. We will be back.

Our server couldn't have been more friendly and outgoing. She was swamped (it was prom night with lots of formally clad students dining in) but never broke a sweat, never made us feel rushed or unattended and had a big smile from ear to ear throughout. I can't remember her name but I believe she is one of the owners daughters - and she's a real asset to the restaurant. My husband had a combination platter with all the favorites - enchiladas, taco, and a tamale, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I opted for something that was a little less---well, you know----but when in Rome---don't eat the spinach and mushrooms----get the tacos, savor the enchiladas. They know what they're doing and next visit I will lean into their expertise, enhanced by another Mexican martini. Buen provecho!

It's a little overpriced for what it is but it gets the job done. FAST FACTS: * Parking - lot out from of the building with plenty of spots * Happy Hour - couldn't find updated days and hours but they do have HH specials * Lunch specials from 11 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday SERVICE - We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Monday and they weren't busy at all (although it was Cinco de Mayo and they got busier as the night went on). We were seated right away and had complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table immediately (they're very mediocre). Our server, Fatima, made sure we had refills throughout the meal and the food came out quickly. PRICING - The total was $65.45 after tax ($4.99) but before tip for a Burros queso ($10.49), shredded chicken quesadilla ($14.99), Javier's plate ($17.49), and carne asada ($17.49). For basic Tex Mex, it seemed a little overpriced but the portion sizes are good. BURROS QUESO (6/10) - This is a basic chili con queso... it's topped with ground beef, guacamole, and pico but not much. I don't think I'd order this again because it isn't worth it for the price... I'd rather just order a small chili con queso. SHREDDED CHICKEN QUESADILLA (6/10) - It's a pretty standard chicken quesadilla served with shredded lettuce, pico, sour cream, and guacamole. You do get plenty of shredded chicken inside! This is great to split as an appetizer or get as an entree. I'd order this again. JAVIER'S PLATE (6/10) - It's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled skirt steak had a nice flavor but is kinda hard to cut up and eat. You get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I probably wouldn't order this again because I'd rather try other things. CARNE ASADA (6/10) - Again, it's a good portion size but nothing special. The grilled chicken breast is the same price as the diced skirt steak which doesn't quite make sense to me but you get a decent amount of sautéed onion, tomatoes, serano peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. Again, you get rice, beans, and a small tortilla cup with lettuce, pico, and guacamole. I'd order this again if I want to get in some veggies with my meal. This was my first visit to Burros Tex Mex Bar and Grill and I probably won't rush to come back because there are other Tex Mex restaurants nearby that I prefer. It wasn't bad by any means, it just doesn't stand out (especially for the price). But, in a pinch, I'd stop by again if I was nearby and in the mood for Tex Mex.

I looked at the menu and it was very Texmex, so much so that I didn't feel any guilt whatsoever in ordering hard shell tacos. Since we already got the chips we decided to get their queso as well. The food basically all arrived at the same time and the queso was served in a small soup cup-TONs of their queso and since it was family, double dipping the queso into the salsa was not judged; pretty decent. My tacos were good-the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese were just kind of tossed on top and not in but I guess that's what I get for ordering hard shell tacos.
