My own custom Chilaquiles burrito (Not on the menu)
    Mike W.

Warning: What I'm about to tell you is going to change your life. It all started with the carnitas sopes with green salsa. One bite, and I was hooked. You should order that too, but that's not why I'm speaking with you today. One day, I wanted to try something else. Maybe it was destiny, maybe it was luck, but I went for the chilaquiles, topped with that same green salsa, but I added a runny egg. Game over. I became fully addicted. This went on for weeks. But then... I had a vision: Could I wrap the chilaquiles into a giant burrito? I asked for a large tortilla on the side and made it happen. What followed was nothing short of divine intervention. The fried tortilla strips stayed crunchy even inside the burrito. The green salsa hit that perfect sour note that cuts through richness without overpowering. The meat was juicy and tender. And the beans were not refried into oblivion. They were whole, perfectly cooked, and velvety smooth. Now add that yolky golden river from the runny egg, oozing through every layer. It's chaos and beauty. It's a burrito worthy of worship. *Note: This isn't on the menu, so you'd probably have to list off all these details, but it's worth it. If you live in town, you know I'm a real person. I'm the former sumo wrestler who is always walking around with his little dog in his backpack. I'm sad that I'm moving away soon, so I'll only get to eat this magnificent creation a few more times. I guess I'll have to come back to coast for a visit, for a long romantic stroll on the beach while eating a Chilaquiles burrito.

What a great discovery! This is a gem! First day we came, we had the nachos. So delicious. On Sunday we came back for the menudo. The taste was amazing! Spicy, but not too much. We chose the large bowl and ate it all up. We definitely recommend! The staff were very attentive and friendly. Locals should be proud.

The food good but the carne asada little bit too chewy for our taste. The chips or nachos good! I think they made it. Service great. It's small restaurant, we are group of 7 have to squeeze in to make it work.

Pretty exciting move for this beloved local building as a new entry to the local Mexican food battle. I love the way you can see the food being prepared and interact with the staff. A small selection of tables for those that want to stay. Very clean and warm, the staff greets you as you enter. The menu is fairly diverse with all that you'd expect. I chose the Al Pastor Burrito which was very good and large. I ate it without the shell trying to find a low carb way to enjoy. Give this place a try.

Chilaquiles with side of rice and beans.

Yum! The place is cozy, clean, easy parking. Server was attentive and food was served quickly. I ordered chilaquiles, with a side of rice and beans. It was really good. I was expecting large tortillas soaked in verde sauce, but these were rectangular, with just enough sauce to keep them a little crispy, cheese and crema on top were perfect balance. I was expecting refried beans, but these were pinto beans, seasoned just right and perfectly cooked. The rice was flavorful too. I would have like a larger serving size for all but, otherwise I would recommend and have been thinking about the meal since. Looking forward to going back.

Such great service. I have a food allergy and they insured my food was fresh and cooked separately. Food is delicious

I just walked in at 7:15pm they told me they were closed. Yelp says 8pm. Very disappointing to drive here just to get turned away.

I started with the creamy chicken croquetas, what a pity there were only three. I could have eaten a dozen. I also had the crispy asparagus and jamon "cigarillos" with manchego and a harissa aioli. Pure bliss. The roasted beets with walnuts and idazabal cheese were delicious and very generous, a reminder that one shouldn't go to a tapas restaurant alone! So take a friend or two and go.

Even though it was winter, the heat lamps in the back allowed us to dine under the festive lights outside comfortably even if we did keep our hats on. A big fan of tapas since we get to try different dishes, we went all out with Bacon Wrapped Dates with Blue Cheese, Creamy Chicken Croquetas filled with Ham, Gruyère Cheese, my favorite of the night, Crispy Bacalao Cigarillos served with Marinated Olives, Lemon Zest & Romesco Allioli, and Octopus, Fingerlings, Smoked Paprika & Olives. We normally don't get a chance to order paella since it often comes with shellfish but since theirs is made to order for 2 or 4 people, we were able to get one made without shellfish. It surprisingly had a bit of heat to it, but I definitely would love to come back to try more tapas.

Greeted walking in at our time and seated within the same moment. The staff are all friendly, professional and kind. Our servers both visits made us feel welcome and appreciated for dining there. A concise creative menu thats better than most in the area. We started with a couple appetizers. The Spicy Ahi Crunch bites were very good, with fresh Ahi and a slice of jalepeno on top of a crunchy puff bite. We really enjoyed them and thought it was a good start. Along with their fresh baked focaccia bread with evoo and balsamic. Both were very good starters. Next we shared the large Harvest salad with poached pear, squash, brussels, walnuts and lettuce greens. This is a big salad and was easy for us to split between the two of us. A good choice as well, great textures and flavors. For my meal I went for the Black and Gold Salmon. A hearty serving with a near perfectly cooked salmon filet on top of risotto with mushrooms. A solid choice again, full flavored and well prepared. 4 Stars a solid choice for a good meal 01180

Now, our tradition has changed to going camping for the days leading up to Thanksgiving, and heading home for the big day. Nice to see family and friends, but we still enjoy that cool NorCal vibe in the forest. This past year, we tried a new spot just north of Boonville, CA, which put is pretty close to Ft. Bragg. On one of the days we were in the area, we ventured into town for a nice meal. We found Los Gallitos by chance, looking for a spot to part my truck. This was a nice little Mexican restaurant, and had all the markings of a family business. In short-- delicious food. Sometimes these small town spots can be hit or miss; this place was definitely great. The carne asada was better than the chicken, but I always think that.
