I was in town for a family gathering and the next morning about twenty of us decided to meet up for breakfast. It was a Sunday morning and the parking lot was full! We went inside and to my surprise, they were able to put enough tables together to accommodate us in just a few minutes. The food was delicious and the servings are HUGE! I had a kids plate with a side of barbacoa and still had leftovers. The service is so attentive and sweet! It feels like family, like you're just having breakfast with an extension of your family. There is something so wonderful about this town when I visit. Everyone knows everyone or it at least it feels that way. The barbacoa was good and had great flavor, but was a touch fattier than I prefer, but not enough to be bothered by it. The tortillas are huge and soft and the potatoes crisp and fluffy inside. The salsa is homemade and spicy and the ranchero sauce is equally tasty but not as spicy. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food and never felt rushed. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best Mexican food in Sinton! You can just tell when pulling up into the ample parking- the place is packed with cars during the breakfast rush. Inside, the restaurant really opens up into a large area that's bigger than it looks from outside. They have an extensive menu that goes on for pages, all reasonably priced. The Mexican food seems to be a Jalisco variety- especially apparent in their ranchero sauce, which is smoky and spicy. The service here was fast, friendly, and efficient. The waitresses were happy to refill my coffee, came by and checked on things, and was great. I got the omelette, filled with cheese and veggies. It was huge, maybe four eggs. The tortillas were piping hot, served in a tortilla warmer. They seemed to be store-bought. The green sauce was spicy and flavorful. I'll be back! Visiting Sinton, we stopped in on recommendation, and I was truly surprised at how great the food was. The hostess was very sweet, and allowed us to pick our table. Nearly every item in the menu has a photo, so you see exactly what you're ordering. Hands down one of the best taquerias I've ever eaten at. Came down to Sinton for a funeral. Not too many options for food down here. Due to Covid-19, only their drive-thru was open. Their staff at the window were all friendly. My family and I had their guisado, asada, fajita, and al pastor all on freshly made flour tortillas. I was impressed and that is rare. The guisada was delicious, great flavor and let me tell you, they are NOT stingy with their meat! Our tacos were stuffed with meat! I really liked their dark red salsa too! We came back the following morning and their breakfast tacos did NOT disappoint! Once again freshly made flour tortillas. I ordered their potato and bacon but my family ordered chicharrón and some other combinations. They had many to choose from. The tacos are big so 2 for me were more than enough. OMG! Delicious! Driving home from Corpus and hungry I searched for a place to stop and grab something to eat. Not a lot of chain places between Corpus and Refugio! Lol So i searched Yelp to see if i could find a local place to grab a burger or something. Normally we would never stop at a Taqueria unless we know someone else we know has tried it first but this place has 8 awesome 5 star reviews so we thought we would try it out. Big parking lot was packed! Had to park down the road. When you walk it it smells AMAZING and is really clean. Their HUGE menu takes up the entire wall of the entry way. Seriously, they have EVERYTHING! Tortas, Gorditas, Enchiladas, Burritos, Breakfast tacos and plates served all day. Menudo, al pastor, Barbacoa, Carne guisada, carne asada, chicharonnes, milenesa, fajitas, etc etc. If it is Mexican I think they have it but they also have chicken fried steak, pork chops, chicken tenders etc. The printed menu is pages and pages! I had a chicken fajita taco $2.49 and a ceviche de camaron tostada $3.50 (special today not on menu. The chicken was delicious and so tender. Seasoning was so yummy! The ceviche was delicious! Shrimp diced really fine and so tender. Definitely not premade and rubbery. A taco and a tostada sounds like a really light lunch but I am stuffed! Hubby had the #23 Al Pastor plate $8.99. He is stuffed too! Generous serving of meat plus fresh made tortillas, delicious charro beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, guacamole (seriously fresh and delicious. Best guacamole I have had in a very long time.) Salsa (red) was just ok. They brought a green salsa with our food that came in a plastic squeeze bottle like you would fill with catsup so I am 99.9% sure it is house made. Not a thick salsa but very thin and has a different flavor, kind of like cilantro,water, onion?, some hot peppers. Not spicy at first but then this warmth rolls from the front of your tongue to the back with a burst of flavor. The heat hits you then quickly fades away. So good! Doesn't really taste like much on its own but I put it on your food and it wakes everything up! Went on a Sunday around 1 and it was packed! Small place but lots more seating than I could ever have imagined from looking at the outside. Friendly staff. Refilled our drinks frequently even though almost every table was full. Not really 3 star, but not quite 4. Friendly staff, decently clean establishment. Was pretty busy on Saturday at lunchtime, but at least it took longer to to get our order taken than to get our food! The food itself was pretty decent, the kids were not impressed with their food, something about the cheese on their quesadilla not tasting right. I did how ever think the tortillas were pretty great. Not sure if they are made in house or not. The beans that came with the carne asada were more like a stew than baked etc. On the whole, a pretty good meal. read more
