DO NOT USE THEIR WEBSITE! I placed an order online after checking Google to make sure they were open (7pm) and when I got to the location, it was closed! I called 4 times and left several messages the next day to inquire about my order and didn't hear anything. I went there after work and they were closed again! (3:30pm). I'm having trouble figuring out if they are closed down or what? I'm out 50$ but that's not my issue...They just need to update their Google page and stop accepting people's orders online if they know they won't be open! read more

I'd say for a neighborhood Mexican location I'm happy with the service and quality. Not very packed. Quick plating. I ordered some super carne asada nachos that were loaded which is great. They didn't skimp. Although the meat wasn't quite seasoned. Yet nothing some salt and salsa, limes can't fix. I also ordered a super taco dorado and that was delicious. I'd definitely reorder that. I'm intrigued to try the rest of the menu. Especially the soups. My friend ordered a quesadilla which she felt wasn't memorable. Although she too enjoyed the taco dorado. They are also still new ownership, so I'm willing to give it a chance. The cashier was friendly. Given all the cray cray posts and Lifetime characters on it, ND isn't the best source for food recs but you never know until you try something for yourself, amirite? Taqueria Las Katrina opened late September, taking over the short-lived Los Cuates in The Portola. I've never been but there's also a TLK location in Santa Cruz with the same dia de los muertos wall art so maybe they're related? They're currently open for takeout and dine-in. Don't see them on any delivery apps at this time. M E N U Salads, soups, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, burritos, burrito bowls, and molcajetes (meat + seafood served in a volcanic stone bowl). Proteins: Pollo, asada, pastor, carnitas, pollo en mole, chorizo, cochinita pibil, mushroom, and tofu. No offal: lengua, cabeza, tripas, buche, etc. which is disappointing. Birria, pozole, and menudo available on the weekends. F O O D * Complimentary Chips & Salsa: Your standard commercial chips. It's free so no complaints. Large menu, offers more items than the previous Mexican restaurants that were in this same spot. I'm glad to see the bright new paint and decorations. Adds some character. Staff (both cashier and kitchen) were so friendly and kind. Very welcoming, I hope they do well! The soup was wonderful. A big hearty bowl, make you feel warm and happy. Came with side dish of vegetables like onion and cilantro to add into your soup. Michelada was fun! Beer separate so you can pour it yourself. Lots of tables for dining in. read more

The establishment is very clean, well decorated, and spacious for dining in. Service was quick and kind. They also accept apple pay which is nice. I ordered a super burrito with al pastor. There was nothing bad about it to note but also nothing special. It was quite bland and lacked seasoning. The staff are very friendly and nice. The food however wasn't the best. I came after 7:30 and ordered a super carne asada burrito. I was sharing my burrito with someone and when we cut it, it immediately fell apart. It was wrapped more loosely compared to other places. It had A LOT of rice, the meat was a little chewy as if it's been there for a while, and you can barely taste any guacamole or salsa. The tortilla was mushy and drenched in a lot of oil as well. Decently priced. My husband and I got the quesabirria and super relleno burrito. The quesabirria was chonky and stuffed and the relleno had a really good cheese pull. Really dig the aesthetic of the place too. Service went pretty quickly. read more

I usually buy the carne asada super burritos here. I really like the meat in the burrito and the burrito was better than the previous taqueria that was here. I do think it's a good burrito for the area, some people may differ. Also, the chips aren't stale like some other places. read more

I rate this place a 4.5 actually since there is a bit of room for improvement.... Either way, the very first item we decided to try here was the quesabirria. Wow so good. The consommé that comes with it so soooo delicious. Since we loved it so much, we decided to eat our way through more items on the menu before posting anything on here. It took a number of return trips, but all in all I would say my personal favorites on the menu are: Mar y Tierra (Steak and Shrimp) Molcajete Quesabirria Pollo Asado (Grilled Chicken) plate Churro The people here are very nice and service is attentive at the counter. The ambiance is cute and you can tell a lot of thought was put into redecorating the place. It is also clean. Ive been here three or four times now. The first time was really good. However, the times I've eaten here since then have been rather poor. I've called in an order a couple times now and both times whoever answered the phone seemed unable to understand anything I was saying. The last time I called in an order I had to explain the order FIVE TIMES! I spent almost ten minutes trying to place the order over the phone. When I got it and took it home I found out part of the order was totally wrong. So, not only did the person answering the phone not understand my order after I explained it numerous times, they also got part of it wrong. In addition, the item they got wrong was soggy and as my wife put it, it tasted like "soap." So, whoever takes orders over the phone can't understand what is being said and manages to get part of the order wrong and the crew apparently can't be bothered to properly prepare some it. This bad experience has encouraged me to find somewhere else to go the next time I'm looking for Mexican food. read more

Ive had good experiences. However the last time I went they gave me less meat than chipotle. Which is kinda crazy.

I went to pick up my burrito that I had ordered for pickup and the lady thought that I was stupid or something because she actually called me that in Spanish before asking me rudely what did I order.
