    Taco Salad

I love the food from this place, but they've reduced the size of the taco salad to a FOUR INCH yuca tortilla bowl. And close to $20 for that - and that doesn't even include a protein! Extremely overpriced IMO.

This little taco spot caught me off guard because I had no idea it was a Cuban place, would I have known that, I probably wouldn't have even tried it, as I'm always skeptical when the restaurant is owned by people different from where the cuisine is from. The place is small but it's really cute, they have tables and a bar, it's colorful with a lot of Mexican art . The waiter was nice and they had a good selection of Mexican tacos and others I didn't recognize (I'm Mexican so I would know). My order came with one lime so I ordered extra. I wanted to accompany my food with a Mexican soda but they only had Mexican coke, I got that but I was disappointed at their lack of Mexican soda selection. I ended up going with the Birria Tacos and a taco al pastor, the pastor taco was alright, nothing special. The birria, I was actually surprised at how tasty it was, they came with cheese which was good, I just wished they would have added more onion and more cilantro, as it was almost nonexistent and that truly puts the extra flavor my taste buds were looking for. The consomé (broth) my tacos came with was ok, it was terrible but it wasn't great either and quite small. The place was on the pricier side so I expected a little more. My stay was short and sweet but I did enjoy trying this place out and maybe I'll give it a second go lol.

You walk in and it is very unassuming - a bar some tables, you see the kitchen in the back. Servers are friendly and prompt. Grab a Marg. Grab some Tacos. You will instantly be transported to another dimension. My favorite are the fish tacos. wow. Top 5 tacos on LI. Top 3 Margs. Stop in for a quick bite or have a full meal. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped in here for lunch on a Thursday. Small yet inviting restaurant. I sat at the bar, and was immediately greeted by the bartender who offered the menus and took my drink order. The marg was delicious - one of the better ones in the area. I ordered the Birria Burrito and it was huge. Full of meat, cheese, rice and topped with sour cream, guac and chips it looked as good as it tasted. I got hot sauce and added to the top. I'll be back in the future w the fam! Can't believe I've waited this long to try this place out.

Taqueria is my go-to-lowkey-taco-spot. Their nachos are everything you dream of & more. The chips are so good, you'll contemplate ordering a bag to take home. I tend to go for Taco Tuesday which means some taco options are $2. They have margarita deals as well but I try to not get lit during my lunch break. My $2 taco choice would have to be their Vegan Taco (which has butternut squash, black beans & gua) The Azteca Soup has been my cooler weather favorite. It has the perfect blend of spice, cotija cheese, fresh avocado, & homemade tortilla strips. I like the aesthetic of the bowl. Order this. And a mexican coke. Parking is hit or miss. There is a residential lot adjacent to the strip Taqueria is located in. Otherwise street parking available.

I really enjoyed Taqueria the first few times but I feel like the place has gone downhill. Food quality just isn't the same. The carnitas tacos were still pretty tasty but other taco options were underwhelming. Guacamole starter was OK. Service is also usually pretty slow here but on our last visit, it was painfully slow and super inattentive. Took about an hour to get our tacos..... smh *face palm* It seems like they get a good amount of delivery orders which might explain the slow service. Overall, the restaurant including the outdoor seating has gotten dingy. Restaurant options in Long Beach aren't amazing so I may or may not eat here again if I find myself starving and in the area. Idk though

You charge $17 for a taco salad that's smaller than my hand? Insane! Thanks for helping me keep my food portions small...

You charge $17 for a taco salad that's smaller than my hand - and I have small hands... Insane. When I called the person answering the phone didn't try to make things right. "I'm the waitress, can't help you. The owner is not here. Call Grubhub and complain. Well, thanks for keeping my portion size small lol.

The food and drinks here are delicious!!! Taco Tuesday is a steal with $2 soft corn tortilla tacos. No more drinks deals but it's ok. Mojito is one of the best I tasted. We also ordered the guacamole that had a nice creamy texture. The wings were yummy as well. Took one star off off cleanliness. Only issue is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Definitely needs some work. Tables and floor were sticky, wet and and needed a good sweep. Plates can use a good cleaning as well. Hope they start cleaning better. The venue seats about 12 at tables and 3-4 at the bar.

    Busy Sunday evening

This was our first time here coming on a Sunday evening. Place was pretty busy & we got lucky walking in as a table had just became available. The server recommended the crispy fish tacos & the barbecue tacos. I didn't look at the menu before coming in because my favorite tacos are Al Pastor but they didn't offer that so I took his recommendation & ordered both. The crispy fish tacos here are amazing. My husband ordered the barbecue tacos, we also split a cheese quesadilla & a cheese empanada along with a couple of sodas. Cute place for a quick bite. They also serve alcoholic drinks here as well which a lot of people seem to like.

I was in the mood for street tacos after spending a beautiful day on Long Beach. Bad Boy Burrito offers numerous options: tacos, burritos, chips and dips, build your own burritos and bowls, and quesadillas. I was craving a shrimp taco and veggie taco. The shrimp tacos come chili marinated with sliced avocado, mango habanero salsa and lime. There is a choice of corn or flour tacos. The Veggie tacos come with seasonal vegetables. The shrimp taco was scrumptious: grilled shrimp with the mango salsa and a squeeze of lime combined is the go to taco. The Veggie tacos, was a bit disappointing; I love zucchini and green and red peppers. However, I wish there were other veggies like tomatoes, grilled onions, avocado etc. Additionally, the sour cream overwhelmed, too much. There is limited seating and Mexican murals adorn the walls. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This is a great spot to hit before or after beach or to eat on the beach..

There is a really nice bar area and a small stage. The staff were very nice but unfortunately didn't check on us that often. They didn't come back once to refill the water. The restaurant was mostly empty since it was a holiday so it wasn't because they were busy. Prices are different whether you pay with cash or credit. The food was just ok. I got the seafood paella. Really didn't have much flavor to it. Sadly, there were also pieces of broken clam mixed in the rice. I'm sure that can happen, but never had that experience with paella before. It was a little disappointing because I had to check each fork full of rice before eating it. Overall not a great experience.

So first off, ordering a drink felt like applying for a mortgage, took 20 whole minutes. Our waitress/bartender/server/bouncer/hostess (okay, not the last two, but you get it) was super sweet, but clearly doing every job in the building. Getting that first drink order in was the real Hunger Games. I ordered two pitchers of watermelon margaritas for the squad, and honestly, those slapped. Round 3? Strawberry margarita. BIG mistake. It tasted like melted Jolly Ranchers with regret. 0/10, do not recommend. Now let's talk appetizers, or as I like to call them: The Waiting Game. It took 45 minutes for queso to show up... cold. Like, the plate was warm but the cheese was channeling its inner popsicle. Confusing behavior. Then came the guacamole. Our server started making it, then disappeared like she got called into another dimension. Came back later with the chips like nothing happened. Plot twist: the guac was actually fire Best thing we had all night. Cut to: one hour later (yes, ONE), the food finally arrives. My partner's chicken fajitas were... not sizzling. Like, zero sizzle. Ice cold. The waitress told us it was the A/C that cooled the plate down. BABE, BE SERIOUS. What next? Blame Mercury in retrograde? We asked to speak to the manager, and apparently he was on the "Do Not Disturb" setting. We think his name was Lauro, but we may never know. Mysterious. Listen, I love Mexican food. Like, ride-or-die fan. But this? This wasn't it. Please treat your staff better--they're trying their best--but management? Yikes. I will not be back. 1 star for effort, 1 guac for hope. Now, lastly because I almost forgot the manager did end up sending us four plates of cake (maybe to bribe our taste buds?) and did take the sad fajitas off the bill. So points for that tiny redemption arc. Flavorless food with the lack of love Ambiance: Pink pepto walls
